Chapter 132 - 132: Bad News

Roy and Sebastian stayed at the living room for a moment while Halora prepared something for them. She insisted as it was too cold outside because of the sudden changes of the weather.

But at the kitchen, she seemed to be nervous and frightened of Sebastian's mood and strange actions.

He was cold.

Mysterious.

And he was a frank type of man even in front of other people. Sebastian sighed, gently hit his lap and waited for her.

"Huh," he breathed deeply.

"Calm down, dude! You're making me like a crazy, nervous human being!" Roy rolled his eyes like a girl with bad intentions. "Look! We have ten minutes left before 3."

He was right. The entire surrounding slowly covered with a bright, calm sky as the sunrise is yet to come.

But, it didn't bother Sebastian at all. He wanted to hear something from her, even if took him how many years, he was willing to wait.

He sighed, took out the phone from his pocket as he realized that someone was calling him. Without a second thought, he excused himself from Roy, walked closer to the door and pressed the answer button.

His heart beated too fast after some time. It surprised his entire system, his knees trembeld and he even stuttered.

"W– what did you say?!" His voice raised out of the blue. The sudden news scared him the most as it was urgent and an important matter.

He needed to go home but he have something to settle. "Forgive me, but I need a couple of minutes. I... I know you will understand."

After awhile, he sacrificed his family because of her. He had never been in the same situation but he chose Halora more than anything in the world with no doubt and hesitation.

He gasped, hid the bad news that Greg told him earlier and walked silently back to the living area like nothing happened to Lord Solomon.

"Hey, dude! What's wrong? You looked tired."

"Just a family matters but I'll go somewhere after here."

Roy shrugged off his shoulders and remained silent. He knew something awful happened but Sebastian hid it from everyone until Halora appeared with a tray of cups of tea and slices of chocolate cake.

She bowed her head, put down it on the table and seated in front of them.

She said, "Have some tea first, it's cold outside so I made some for you."

"For you? Are you saying that this is only for Sebastian? Woah, I can't believe this!" said Roy and pretended to be disappointed.

But Halora seemed to be defensive. She waved her hands, shook her head in disagreement and giggled secretly as if someone tingled her.

"Of c– course not!" She defended but she noticed that Sebastian seemed to be quiet all of the sudden. She scoffed, stared at Roy's eyes. "C– can you leave us for a moment?"

Halora told Roy who was surprised and it caught Sebastian's attention. He bit his lips, took a sip of the tea that was quiet effective and calmed his system and cleansed his confused mind.

Without a word, Roy tilted his head when Sebastian looked at him. He knew they both needed some quality time as he quickly brought the cup of tea and slice of cake away from them.

At that moment, they were left in the living area with a heavy heart. Sebastian didn't waste so much time as he quickly stood, stooped to her and grabbed her arm with all the strength he has.

"J– just let me hug you like this, Halora." he whispered shortly to her ears.

"W– what's wrong? I know there's something happened a while ago."

But instead of telling her the truth, he remained silent, leaned his head in her shoulder like it was a lair as he thought, it was a bad idea.

For a couple of minutes, a heavy feeling slowly vanished from his heart especially when he felt Halora's cold touch to his broad back. He closed his eyes, listened to the sound of the nature.

"If you have to go somewhere, you can leave right away. I'll be fine here, Sebastian."

"I'm really sorry, Halora but I have to go now! I'll tell you about it after classes." he said in a hollow voice. His blue eyes filled with sorrow yet, he remained still and calm. "After all of this, I hope you are still waiting. And when the right time comes, you will know everything, Halora."

With a smile on her lips, she nodded her head, looked down to the ground and listened to his deep, cold voice.

She knew she has no right at all and she knew her place and worth. "I've been waiting for a long time... until now." Her voice cracked, blinked her eyes countless times as she couldn't afford to look intently into his eyes.

"Y– you can leave now, Sebastian. Don't worry, everything is fine, Markus is a stranger who helped me earlier and like what you've said, see you tomorrow after classes at the library. Understood?"

Suddenly, out of her expectation, Sebastian chuckled as his perfect, white teeth flaunted. His adam's apple moved gracefully and his laughter changed the entire ambiance of the living area.

"I understand, Teacher Halora!" he said and bowed his head like a good, polite student. "But, don't forget to lock all the windows and doors. Never entertain stranger, do you understand?"

"Y–yes." she said with doubt in her heart.

Halora gave him a short smile as she could breath with ease now. Her heart filled with gratitude but everytime she looked upon to his eyes, she sensed something serious and urgent.

But instead of digging up deeply about it, she pretended to be calm for him.

"Goodbye, Halora! I have to go."

"Let me accompany you–" she insisted.

"No! I... I mean, Greg is waiting for me outside and I don't want you to go out from here anymore!"

Sebastian quickly looked away from her, rambled from left to right as he almost forgot the way out of the house. He sounded like a protective boyfriend yet, it was nothing but only a friendly reminder.
