Chapter 137 - 137: Mission Accomplished

"Mission accomplished!" spoke Sandra as she put the spare key below the shelf where Halora found the original key.

"So, what's the point of doing this to Halora? If your mother hear about this, it would be the end of your life." said Sunny who was the one who helped her accomplished Sandra's mission.

At first, she was hesitant about the campus crush's plan but in the end, she had no choice but to support and accompanied her to the library.

"Sebastian is falling for Halora and to stop them from living happily ever after, I need someone who will his rival." Sandra said. She already heard about the new, hot and jaw–dropping transferee named Markus Sy.

She also heard the rumors that Markus and Halora went to the beach at late hours. "Just wait for the drama and revelations, I know it will bring them to a complicated misunderstanding."

Confusingly, Sunny rubbed her hair, covered her eyes when they finally reached the campus' wide field with hundreds of students who stayed and loitered around.

She breathed heavily, faced her friend who didn't stop smiling since they left the library. "Hey! Can you stop smiling that way? You're making me afraid of you!"

Sunny rubbed her arms, embraced herself and stepped away from Sandra. She blinked her eyes, looked around the area as she searched for Chloe and Garry.

Yet, Sandra didn't stop smiling until she took her cellular phone from her grandiose pink bag and looked at the time. "Three minutes left and you will be locked inside of the library once again. You deserves it, Halora and I can't wait to see you leaving this school for good." she murmured as she stared at the calm, blue sky with a sarcastic smile on her face.

Three minutes has passed yet no one arrived at the exact spot. Halora leaned over to the cold wall and realized that it was a small storage room. There was no thick carpet that would warm her body nor a single book that she would read on at the moment.

"Where are you, Sebastian?" she murmured and began to worry about him. She looked at her wrist watch with a heavy sigh as she waited for an hour now yet, he was nowhere to be found.

Halora wanted to take a quick nap but there was something inside that stopped her. Her vision slowly turned poor as the surroundings became darker and vague.

"I... I'm sorry for breaking the rules but I can't stay here for a long time! I– it is too cold that almost turned my body senseless."

Without a doubt, she stood from the ground as her eyesight became too blurry. Her head hurt too bad as she wanted a glass of water and her throat was dry as the land in the desert.

However, when she was about to pull and open the door. She realized that it was locked up by someone from the outside. She shook her head, wiped off the sweats on her forehead as she tried harder and harder.

But, as it was impossible to happen, she failed and fell back into the ground with a heavy heart. She didn't know that it was all Sandra's plan until she remembered her cellular phone.

"Please! Please, help me this time around!"

She hoped for the best but her world fell apart when there was no signal bar on the top side of the screen. "No! No! It can't be!"

Halora lifted her arms to the air as she hoped to attract a one-bar signal. She turned around, went to every corner of the room yet, nothing happened, and didn't contact anyone.

Hopelessly, she looked at nowhere, letting her tears fell down to her pale cheeks. "W–why they are so mean to me? W– what did I do to them to treat me like a toy? A doll?"

Her body suddenly turned weak when she lost her little hope. She never understood why people acted like an animal than the real creatures in the wild.

"I... I don't have enough strength to scream and ask for help. And perhaps, the best thing I can do right now is to wait for someone before the closing time."

Halo was once again in vain, in despair and desperation. She was tired of childish fights and arguments but still, there was only one person who suddenly came to her head.

"Sandra Lee... I know you are the one who did all of this b– but until now, I can't figure out the reasons behind your hatred towards me." Tears continued pouring like heavy rain as she thought that no one will ever save her.

Little did she knew, someone came to the library by himself. He was listening to the music, danced to the rhythm, and went inside without being asked by the librarian.

He gasped, searched for a perfect, peaceful spot as he avoided someone who tried to beat him up.

"Tada! I've finally found the perfect spot to stay for a while!" he exclaimed with a wide smile on his thin, crimson lips.

He didn't waste enough time as he hurriedly walked into the secluded spot where Halora found the small, secret door.

As he was the one left inside, he walked too loudly that caught Halora's attention, and lit up the faded fire on her chest.

Her eyes widened as she quickly asked for help by screaming at the top of her lungs. "HELP! CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME TO GET OUT FROM HERE? PLEASE, PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU TO OPEN THE DOOR!"

It was loud enough not to be heard from the outside. The student who heard her voice abruptly ran closer to where the voice came from. Until he noticed a small door in front of him.

He said, "Hello? I... I am willing to help you but the door is being locked a– and I don't know where is the key!"

"I have the key b– but I don't know how to give this to you!" replied Halora who smiled bitterly as finally, someone came to help her out of the room.

She was breathing heavily and the latter she recognized the man's deep, jolly voice. "M– Markus?" she added as her brown eyes glinted and her mouth was left wide open.
