After a couple of hours of resting, Halora awakened by the cold, sweet background music inside of the well-ventilated, wide room surrounded with grandiose paintings and figurines.
There was a queen size bed on the right corner with a mini circle table. On the top of it was a bunch of fresh pink roses that gave a refreshing vibe to the entire place.
"T– this is n– not my r–room! This is not my house, for heaven's sake can somebody tell me where I am right now?" she panicked until a middle-aged woman with a black skirt and white sleeve just entered inside.
She blinked her eyes, and there was a housemaid who brought some fresh hot tea who followed the middle-aged woman.
"As soon as you wake up, I requested some tea for you, Young Lady. Don't worry, you are safe here with us."
Halora gulped continuously and realized that someone also changed the clothes. She quickly covered her chest by her long, skinny arms and she replied, "N–no! W–where is my uniform? C– can I have it, p– please?"
"I'm sorry but we can't let you leave without the Young Master's permission. If you need something, you can press that red button on right side–"
"Young Master?"
There was only one person who was called that way. But she shook her head and get rid of him immediately before it cause another trouble.
The middle-aged woman slightly tilted her head and put the cup of tea on the big, long table. She walked back to the door with the housemaid silently as they bowed their heads, left her dumbfounded and closed the door.
She glanced up to the ceiling with a big question mark on her head. She looked around the room, jumped off from the bed and roamed around as if she was in an exclusive room of a huge, well-known penthouse.
"S– should I sneak out from here and leave a letter to the owner?" she murmured and bit her index finger as she ran out of ideas and plans.
But, she shook her head in disagreement, slapped her cheeks until it turned scarlet.
After she walked back and forth and got tired of distressed, she threw herself back to the smooth, fragrant bed and closed her eyes in despair.
As far as she knew, the entire house was surrounded with cctv and guards. It would be difficult to sneak out from a well-ventilated, elegant house.
"Huh, why should I try this cup of tea to surpass this boredom?" she said and sipped it slowly and it was quiet effective and calmed her nerves and entire system. "My things! Where are my things?"
Halora searched for her black backpack around the room. Fortunately, she found it at the left side of the bed as she grabbed it and searched for her cellular phone.
However, the moment she opened the zipper, she remembered that she put it inside of her skirt when she failed to contact anyone.
"You're such an idiot, Halora!"
She hit her head desperately and put aside her bag in despair. "W– what should I do now? There's no way to get out from this place."
Halora covered her face of the white, thick blanket that warmed her body. She wanted to cry the moment she remembered everything that happened in the library and the man who saved her from the brink of death.
"M– Markus? That's right! Probably he brought me here because I can't stay the entire night in the school's clinic." she whispered to the wind until the door opened widely.
A fine, young man walked closer to her with a bouquet of flowers and basket fruits. He was wearing a simple, white shirt paired with a denim pants and jacket.
"As soon as I heard that you are awakened, I quickly bought these flowers and fruits for you. I h– hope you will like it, Halora." spoke Markus with a sweet, wide smile on his lips.
He sighed, lent the flowers to Halora who got startled and surprised at the same time. Her heart filled with dread but she accepted the flowers wholeheartedly.
"O– of course, who would have thought that I don't like it! I... I am grateful that you saved me from that cold room, Markus. I... I don't know what to say if you weren't there earlier."
Markus turned around and told his bodyguards to get out of the room for a couple of minutes. At first, they was hesitant to obey his orders but at the end, they had no other option but to agree instead of losing their job.
"I apologized for bringing you in my house without your permission. The school's nurse told me that you can't stay all night long in the campus and so, I didn't hesitate to help you once again–"
"Thank you so much for saving my life, Markus. I don't know how can I repay your kindness to me since we've met accidentally." Halora cut him off but it made him smile and fluttered his chest that brought him to the paradise of glory and happiness.
It surprised him as no one had ever brought butterflies to his stomach. Everything changed, became too complicated and a misunderstanding between Halora and Sebastian created a long, deep gap that will test her love for him.
He slowly reached for her cold, trembling hands, swallowed greedily when she suddenly became too silent. "A– are you crying?" he asked her but she quickly shook her head and lied to him even though it was too obvious.
"I know you're crying because of pain, because of that jerk who kept you wait for nothing! Don't worry, I will teach him a lesson once I get a perfect chance."
"No! No, Markus! Don't do something terrible to him anymore...," she paused as her lips turned dry and shivered because of pain.
At the moment, he held his breath back until she opened her mouth and she added that almost triggered the bomb inside of his head.
"Don't tell anyone about what happened, because when everything is over, I will no longer see Sebastian all over again." Halora suddenly looked intently into his glibnting, emerald eyes.
