"Oh my gosh! I... I can't believe that one of the hunk in the campus is our classmate!" exclaimed one of the girls who secretly rooting for handsome and rich students like him.

Sandra rolled her eyes and she whispered, "Bitches, come out and devour your new victim."

However, there was one girl who heard it and quickly sent the message to the girl who spoke earlier.

But before anything happened, Markus grabbed Halora's hand that left everyone surprised. Their faces filled with an unexplainable reaction as how they met with each other for that short time.

For pete's sake, Sandra closed her fists when she lose the fight against Halora. She couldn't either believed that a man like Markus fell into her poor, pitiful trap.

She sighed in weariness, crossed her arms as she watched Halora stood from her seat like a Princess who has been missing in the palace.

But, behind all the happenings, everyone didn't know that we're only friends. Halora treated him as her new friend but secretly, Markus has fallen in love with her at first sight.

Halora was hesitant to talk to him but she knew, if she refused to do so, all of her classmates especially girls will bully her again.

She was not pretty.

She was not rich.

She have nothing to brag about to the entire class.

Halora was just a nobody for all of them.

However, despite being careful of her actions, through her peripheral vision, she was certain that Sandra and her friends looked at her way.

They were waiting what will she do next and preparing to attack her from behind.

She glanced up at him, swallowed her saliva greedily and she said, "H– how did this thing happened? I... I thought you and Sebastian belongs to the same section–" she stopped when he winked at her mischievously.

And by that simple gesture, Halora came up with a great, usual conclusion of rich students who has not so good academics history.

She sighed, looked down at her feet and suddenly felt guilty for talking with someone else than her boyfriend.

Surprisingly, she covered her mouth, turned around on him that confused Markus and their classmates. They looked like instant celebrities who record the intense scene.

"I'm sorry for doing that but... but I just want to know you more, Halora. This is not be the perfect place to say this, but...," he paused, took a deep breath as well as the students around him.

He said, "But I want to court you, Halora. I... I will do everything for you to see my worth, to know who I am and what things I'll sacrifice just to be you, forever."

"What a– are y– you talking about, Markus? P– please, if you are just playing a trick with me, I... I am begging you to please cut it off because if suffered too much, if only you knew my past–"

"Exactly! That's what I meant to say! I want to embrace your flaws and past, Halora. So, please give me a chance to court you officially."

Tears shone to her eyes as it confused and brought the main back to her heart. She looked surprised, frightened to answer him as for sure, someone was waiting for the perfect time to strike from behind.

"W– what should I do now? H– he looks too serious!" thought Halora.

While Markus waiting for her answer, everyone around them started to gossip about the girl who was caught drinking with him.

Different stories, both real and lies spreaded quickly into the whole campus as some of the students too videos the moment he asked for her permission.

As Sandra denied that Markus was quite good-looking, attractive and rich, she felt something in her chest. It seemed to be strange but she felt like a needle pricked at her heart for thousands times.

She gasped, caressed her temple that brought worries to her friends who responded quickly.

Sunny gave her a bottle of water but she refused to take it. She waved her hands, seared back on her seat until Halora seen her condition.

She looked concerned but she can't do anything else at the moment. She stooped to Markus, closed her eyes and she whispered to his ears, "C– can we talk about it later? I... don't know what to say yet, and I know you'll understand."

At that point, Markus widened his eyes when she expected that things would go smoothly like what he imagined. He sighed, slightly nodded his head with a short smile on his lips.

But he knew, if he would stepped back and walked away from that classroom, his friends would laughed on him to death and his pride won't accopt it.

Halora thought that he understood what she meant earlier but things happened differently.

Suddenly, Markus embraced her tightly with a big smile on his face. He closed his fists and hailed in happiness as few of the students around clapped their hands and celebrated his biggest achievement.

"Whoa! I know you'll see yes, Halora! And now that I'm finally courting you, I will make sure to be your best, perfect future boyfriend!" he said as he tightened the grip on her waist that left Sandra dumbfounded.

She never knew that Halora was an easy girl who quickly agreed to someone. Her brow furrowed, stared at Halora who was tapping his shoulder and looked at the opposite direction.

Until a good, perfect idea went into her creative head as she scooped her cellular phone from the pocket of her skirt and took photographs of the romantic scene in front of her.

"You'll be a dead meat after I show these beautiful shots to Sebastian. For sure, he will loathe you for being a leech, Halora." she smirked and quickly hid her phone back to her pocket.
