Chapter 164 - 164: A Destructive Spectacle

Early in the morning, Zenith was awakened by a cold, terrible wind that went through the window. She agreed to Sebastian's favor and the entire night, she looked after Halora who was still weak and vulnerable.

She quickly reached for the cellular phone on the side table, rubbed her eyes and checked the time.

She yawned, looked at the girl sleeping peacefully next to her, "I have to leave now, Halora. I'll just change my clothes and I'll be right back!"

Zenith slowly get off from the bed, held her breath back as she didn't want to disturb and wake her up. She knew Halora needed to take some rest, and leaving peacefully would be a big help.

"See you later, Halora." she said and went out from the room.

Little did she knew, Halora was awakened by the sound the of door creaking slowly. She hated the creepy things like it and anything that would trigger her phobia.

She yawned, leaned over to the wall for a second. "Huh, w– what time is it?"

Halora rubbed her eyes, glanced up at the wall clock. It was quarter to five, too early to prepare for breakfast.

"Huh, why do I feel like not going to school today? My body seems to be weak and just want to laze around the house."

But despite it all, she couldn't still think what was the important matter that the nurse told to Sebastian. She wanted to know it too, but on the last minute, Ms. San Diego decided not to tell it to her.

It somehow bothered her, questions came out from her head but none of them were being answered.

She did even a short research on the entities that existed in the world, thousands of years ago and what she found out really surprised her to death.

"Beasts and witches were all real, existed back then and until now...," she murmured, pushed the curtain above her head and saw Zenith ran into a white luxury car.

She gasped, smiled bitterly as she felt grateful meeting such extraordinary people. Despite their different status, Halora were treated well by them.

"Ugh, I... I can't even lift my arms well and in ease!" she exclaimed, frowned because of the pain she had felt. "I should tell Roy and Zenith that I can't go to school today."

Eagerly to stay on her bed, doing anything the entire day, she reached for the cellular phone on top of the side table where Zenith put hers too.

With a heavy breath, she dialed Roy's number first and waited for a moment until he quickly picked up the phone.

"Thanks God you're awake! Do you want something? Or should I go there and accompany you, Halora!"

His voice somehow made her laugh early in the morning. She never thought that were a lot of people who cared for her, who wished the best of all best.

She giggled continuously as she found it too cute and at the same time an exaggerated response.

"Hey, why are you giggling that way? Aren't you supposed to be lying in bed, taking a rest and stay away from stress!" Roy scolded her like her big brother.

"Don't be to overstated, Roy! I am fine now but I don't feel like going to school today! I mean, my mind wanted to but I don't know, my body just can't let me go from my bed!" she told him that surprised him ever more.

Halora never been sick nor escaped classes because of an irrational reason. She wanted to pay off all the hardworks of her parents, the trust of the school staff given to her from the very beginning.

She sighed, crossed her legs as the cold wind blew up her hair. "C– can you please tell our teacher that I can't make it today, pretty please..."

"Alright! Alright, I will tell them later but I'll drop there now! Wait for me, do you understand?" Roy said in a hurry.

Without objection, she nodded her head in agreement as if he could see it. Until a wide, mission- accomplished kind of smile flaunted on her lips. "Huh, I'd never lied to anyone in my whole life!" she whispered, laid back to bed and stared at the white ceiling.

After a couple of minutes, she heard a sound of a car. It must be Roy as she hurriedly pushed the curtain and looked through it.

"Halora! Open the door!"

"Just get inside, now!"

Right then on, Halora jumped off from bed enthusiastically, but the moment she reached downstairs, she walked slowly like an ancient zombie who were searching for a brain.

Because of the excitement, she forgot to wear slippers but her feet covered with black sock.

She quickly pulled the door, winked at Roy who got surprised. His brow furrowed and he said, "So, you didn't lock the door the whole night, did you?"

Halora giggled silently as she led the way to the kitchen. She saw basket of fruits, two cups of espresso with a bunch of cookies.

She wanted to grab it from his hands but the only thing she did was to gulp and looked away from it until she drool over it.

"Zenith slept with me, last night. I thanked her for accompanying me the whole time and I felt her sincerity after all she have done to me before."

Roy put everything on the table while Halora seated in one of the four chairs. She stared at nowhere until he gave the espresso and cookies together.

At first, he was hesitant to know about Zenith but the more he see her strong face, the more his pulse stopped pounding.

"Alright, set aside the drama for now because I only came here to know if you're are really doing good and fine!" said Roy as he seated on the opposite chair and took a cookie from the plate.

Even though she was not certain of it, Halora took a deep breath, sipped some of the hot coffee that gave her enough strength.

She looked intently into his eyes that made him gulp and frightened of. "I just feel that a destructive spectacle will happen in the school this morning.." she said seriously that convinced Roy to believe in her gut feeling.
