Chapter 175 - 175: Sorry For Breaking My Promises

After a long day of witches' turmoil, the people gathered at the scene glorified as a brave young girl took over the responsibilities, put her life to the brink of death but she didn't think that she was completely at stake.

All the unconscious witches was tied up in a thick, indestructible rope and was handcuffed by the cops. They kept them inside of a two way, highly secured police vehicle and drove to the main headquarters nearby to the school.

As everyone were safe, saved and endured such traumatic event, they praised and thanked Halora for giving all of her efforts.

Her kindness and bravery was seen of millions of people around the whole country.

And now that she had finally pushed the critters away, the commander-in-chief thanked her personally for cooperation with them. Without her help, the nation must have been in vain.

Under the light, bright sky, as it changed so quickly, Halora received a warm, heartfelt gratitude from all the students she just saved.

"I owe you my life, Halora. And on this day, I'll be always right in your side. If only you'll allow me to be your friend." A brown-skin with a long black, curly hair spoke to her.

After how many years, someone volunteered to be Halora's friend. And to be honest, she felt the brown girl's sincerity the moment she looked into her brown eyes.

Halora gasped, swallowed greedily as she never thought things would be better. She tried to hard to have friend back then, but they would always talked about her everytime she wasn't around.

But, at this time, it felt like a genuine, candid feeling. The first time she saw her, Halora knew that they will be good friends.

She said, "O– of course! I would love to, and if you don't mind me saying this, you're the only girl who asked me to be your friend!"

Tears shone to her brown eyes but she didn't want to start a new, long drama. Everything that happened between her and Damara was one of the dramatic scene in her whole life.

"I'm not alone, because the two of us talked about it too earlier!" The brown girl said enthusiastically.

Right then on, they embraced Halora tightly before she was taken by the authorities. Because of her heroic actions, high profile politician was willing to repay it but, she has to so something else.

With an innocent mind, Halora was escorted to where the head officers gathered at. She knew it was not over yet, but for now, she put aside a bad prediction once for all.

"Everything is fine now because of you, Young Lady. But you know, as it comprises to the rules and protocols, you have to come with us for some questions. And we're not taking a no from you, right?"

For a couple of seconds, she thought about it. She just tired, hungry but she has no idea what to do next. "I... I just want to see my friends first, can I have at least fifteen minutes to have a catch on them?"

But the officer gasped, shook his head in disagreement. "Sad to say, but you have only five minutes to notify your friends. We need your testimonies, Halora before selfish people took it for granted."

Because of his deep, serious presence, Halora was convinced that it was really an urgent matter. She knew it was part of the investigation but she didn't want to trust anyone even the commander-in-chief.

To end the considerable conversation, she slightly nodded her head. And from a distance, at the main entrance, Halora saw Roy, Zenith, Daniel, Markus and Sebastian.

They were standing like a group of cool student in the entire campus. With a smile on her lips, she bowed her head and ran towards their way.

Everything was seemed to be okay, the cops and school staffs around her looked into her way as she finally got the chance to thank them personally especially Markus.

As she was close enough, Zenith ran into her as she screamed her name. "Halora!"

She jumped to the air, held Halora's hands when she felt the warmth of her body. "I... I can't believe you did it! You should have told me that you are a keeper!"

"A k– keeper? W– what does it mean?"

But before Zenith realeved about a keeper, Sebastian pulled her hair. "A– aw! Can you just stay right behind me and wait for your turn! You're acting like an excited, worried boyfriend!"

Zenith rolled eyes at him but when she met Halora's gaze, she giggled and flipped her hair. "Let's talk later! Your not-so-real-boyfriend is here to scold you for breaking your promises to him." She winked at Halora, smiled over her shoulder and she added that brought fear to her system, "Good luck!"

Halora glanced up above the bright sky and stood silently in front of her cold boyfriend. She was not certain what to say to him but there was a strong energy that pushed her to do something embarrassing.

She never been to any kind of an intimate relationship and hugging someone in public was not her thing. "What should I do? H– he's staring at me like a furious, hungry tiger!" she thought.

While Halora imagined things in her head, Sebastian stared at her face if she got bruises and or anything else that marked on her skin.

As he found nothing, he took a deep breath heavily. "Halora..." he called her name coldly. His eyes stuck on her face and for a moment, he felt that he never seen her for how long years.

And his chest filled with an unexplainable feelings that he only felt for Halora. "Halora!" Once again, even how hard he wanted to shout at her, he chose to be calm and naive.

Little did he knew, as he blinked his eyes, Halora caught a glimpse of him. And for the very first time, Halora swallowed her pride and put aside her dignity, as she stooped to him and encircled her as around his chest.

It surprised everyone especially Sebastian. It happened too abrupt, unexpected until he felt a warm fluid on his chest and before he could utter a single word, Halora sobbed and she said, "I... I am really sorry for breaking my promises. I have no idea what to do but, i– if you want to get rid of me–"

Suddenly, a simple kiss on her forehead cut her off and took away the guilt on her chest.
