Chapter 174 - 174: I Will Kill You, Halora

Because of desperation, Damara forgot about one thing she should have done before she released all the students. It was too late for her and she didn't listen to the suggestion of one of her adherents.

That very moment, where twenty witches versus an ordinary young girl stood under the vague sky, none of them looked away but only to each other's eyes.

As Damara walked slowly to Halora, she clasped her hands, took the real ring out of her finger and replaced it with a fake one.

With a help of the authorities, for a short period of time, they created a fake ring that looked like the original one.

If Halora said the possibilities, they'd rather prevent it than cure a transmitted disease. And creating a clone of the ring was one of the best way to deceive Damara.

When she successfully changed the ring, Halora fell the real one to the ground. She was too nervous as she thought she would commit a mistake.

As Damara few steps away from her, Halora lifted her hand. It made the manipulative witch stopped, and before she noticed the real ring, Halora took steps ahead and covered it with her right foot.

Halora was about to breath heavily but quickly held it back when she felt Damara's dark presence.

It has been a long fight for the both of them. Many people were injured, transformed into slithering snakes and filthy cockroaches, it was the perfect time to end such cruelty.

Despite thousands of questions in her head, Halora didn't provoke Damara to narrate her real identity. She had the same thought, speculations and a strong gut feeling.

At the closer encounter, Halora wanted to run away and just save herself. She couldn't bear to look at the enemy's rough, ugly, dark face, dry and disturbing lips especially the color of her roundish eyes.

"Are we going to look at each other, or you will surrender the ring before I slash your neck to death!" Damara said but it didn't work at all.

Because of fear that caused by the bullies, Halora's confidence was molded. And before she moved her hands, she saw a signal through her peripheral vision.

Slowly, as her knees trembled, her chest filled with thousands of insects, but still Halora opened her palm. The ring was still on her finger, she took it off, and bestowed it to Damara.

"Finally, after a long long time, I held it once again."

Halora was about to duck when she realized that she gave the real ring to Damara. She quickly lifted her right foot, took the ring on the grasses that weakened her whole system.

"I've warned you, Young Lady. Never attempt to take revenge against me, you will never win as I have the powerful ring now."

After she said those words to Halora, Damara stepped away from her. She was smiling the whole time as she thought, it was over.

Little did she knew, it was just part of the plan. And before she could escape with it, Halora lifted her right arm that became a signal to the snipers who waited for it.

Instead of deadly, normal bullets, they used poisonous chemicals that was used to shoot Damara. Right on her chest, two long syringe hit deeply that shocked her.

"U– uh! W– why... w– why d– did you do this to me, H– Halora!"

Damara held her chest and stuttered. Even how hard she tried to fight for it, the poisonous chemicals quickly flowed into her veins that caught off her guard.

"I came here to kill you, Halora! I... w– will search for you everywhere a–and may you live with fear until... until I get another chance!" she said stutteringly.

And before she lost her consciousness, Halora took the ring from her palm. She chased her breath, looked at Damara who knelt and laid down into the ground with her eyes wide open.

"NOOOOOO!"

As the snipers shot all of her followers, Damara screamed furiously while she saw with her naked eyes how they plunged into the ground.

It was one of the unbearable moment she had ever felt after she lost her entire family.

And suddenly, her eyes became too heavy to keep wide open. Her body became too weak until the poison flowed into her brain.

Fortunately, Halora completed the task but didn't finish the mission. There were four animals that loitered around the field and the only thing to bring them back to their original form was Damara's index finger.

While the authorities carried out the witches' body away from the school's premises, Halora gathered all the students and teacher who became a lifeless rock.

With the help of the cops, she walked closer to Damara. She gulped, felt a little bit of fear and imagined that she was still awake and pretended to be unconscious.

"I have to make sure that he won't attack me anymore." Halora whispered to the cold wind as she carefully took the broomstick away from her hands. "I... I can't believe I am here, doing this creepy stuff!"

Halora touched her chest as she slowly stooped to Damara. She sighed, pointed the witch's index finger to the students who has been asking for help.

"Help us, Halora! Please, please... I can't live like this for the rest of my life!" One of the poor students who were became a snake.

Through pitiful words, Halora closed her eyes and held her breath back, "Please, please turn them back to what they are!" she uttered in a hollow voice like it was a magical oration.

However, at first attempt, it didn't work at all. And she thought that she needed more time and concentration.

At the second try, Halora rubbed the ring on her finger and repeated the same thing like what she did earlier. With sadness and dismay in her eyes, she prayed for a second until she heard a fantastic, enchanted abrupt sound.

With awe on her eyes, Halora quickly covered her mouth. "W– wow! I... I can't believe all of these m– magical powers!" She clasped her hands out of joy she had felt.

Despite the challenges she went through, of being a weak, bullied young girl, Halora slowly found herself to a place where she must belong to.. She became an empowered, dauntless girl that no one else could harm at all.
