The next morning, while most of the students loitered around the crime scene, Halora entered hurriedly as she ignored everyone around her.
However, before she could escape from their meaningful, deep stares, someone appeared, blocked the way out of the blue that surprised her.
"Hi, Halora! I was looking for you but our classmates said that they haven't seen you."
Halora raised her brow and she replied, "O– our classmates? I... I thought you belong to the second section?"
The girl pouted her lips after she heard Halora's witty, quick answer. She knew she was a genius but it stunned her to the maximum.
"Come on, Halora! Don't tell me you already forgot my name, do you?"
"Y– you're right, I.... I forgot to ask your name yesterday...," she breathed deeply. "If y– you don't mind me asking, what is your name again?"
The jolly, happy and easy go lucky girl burst into laughter. It almost made her cry but before it caught everyone's attention, she covered her mouth, grabbed Halora's hand and brought her to the safest place.
They entered inside one of the empty classrooms with heavy breaths. "I am Jasmine, Jasmine Yu!"
As she heard her name, Halora widened her eyes and a smile suddenly flaunted on his face. She said, "H– Halora Chui and it's my pleasure to meet you, Jasmine."
"From now on, I will be your friend and no matter what, I'll stay right beside you. I promise..."
"I'll count on you even though I don't know you yet. B– but don't worry, I will be your friend too from now on."
Lucky as people called it, the bell rang loudly that surprised students who were looking for her too.
Jasmine and Halora went out from the room, but as soon as they looked throughout the wide field, hundreds of students gathered around with smile on their faces.
It surprised her and the only thing she wanted was to be vanished from their sight.
But Jasmine clapped her hands when Mrs. Lee, with all of the teachers and staff appeared in the field. As the school principal, she has the right and power to organize such event.
She was holding a bouquet, a small box as an offering for her bravery. As she walked elegantly towards her, there was one person who felt jealous from afar.
But at the moment, she remained hidden behind the crowd and at the right time, she would make her repay her debt.
"Today, in front of the students, teachers and staffs, I hereby present these flowers and box as the school thanks offering to you, Halora. Your bravery will never be forgotten as it brought peace to everyone and it will remain in our hearts."
Mrs. Lee gave her flowers and the box but she hesitated to accept all of it. She shook her head in disbelief, "I... I c– can't take it with me, Mrs. Lee. I did what is right and I never though of something in exchange."
"Come on, Halora! Are you going to decline it in front of this students behind me?"
"I'm sorry but I can't take–"
Jasmine secretly pinched her waist that surprised her to death. Halora widened her eyes, raised her eyebrows as their eyes spoke with each other.
She encouraged her to accept the principal's offerings until Halora was convinced.
"S– sorry for a long wait, Mrs. Lee but Halora will accept it now!"
Mrs. Lee's dismayed reaction shrouded by a wide smile on her lips. Her eyes suddenly glinted until Halora received it with a fake smile.
Little did she knew, there was a photographer who took pictures of them, at different angles for future references.
And unexpectedly, Mrs. Lee embraced her tightly that precisely stunned Halora. She felt the good woman's warm palms on her back and once in a while, she felt the warmth that her mother usually gave her everytime she felt down and sad.
But a strange feeling suddenly brought her back to reality. She said, "T– thank you for everything, Mrs. Lee."
"You are always welcome, by the way, please proceed to my office after your classes this afternoon. And, I won't take a no from you, Halora."
Halora looked at her reddish eyes for a long moment. But before the crowd think of something irrational, she quickly nodded her head as an answer.
And then on, the kind, humble principal stepped back as she stood in the middle of the crowd. Once again, they clapped their hands loudly as they praised, and celebrated her heroic actions yesterday.
Beside Halora, her new jolly friend saw the group of Sandra who walked away from the crowd.
They rolled their eyes on her but she did the same thing too. She smirked, stomped her right foot and she whispered, "Finally, I got the chance to meet the queen of good for nothing campus crush."
Halora noticed it but she ignored Jasmine's strange actions while they were in front of their fellow students and role models.

Mr. Yang finished with his new lesson through an activity. He took a deep breath as he cleaned the table while his students remained silent.
However, at the end of the row of chairs where Jasmine seated, a crumpled paper landed right into the armchair. She knew it came from Sandra's friends and without hesitation, she opened it and read what was written in it.
"Hmm, this group of b*tch want something, huh! Well, I haven't been in a fight for awhile, so I think, this is the right time." Jasmine murmured.
She silently took the black ballpen from her black backpack, smiled genuinely as she wrote, "I know what you did to my friend, if you are brave enough, let's fight after Mr. Yang's departure."
She sighed, crumpled it hardly and threw it effortlessly until it landed right on Sandra's head.
Jasmine giggled secretly while Halora looked at and asked her. "What is going on back there?"
She shook her head, wiggled her hand as she was trying to say that everything was fine and under control.
Halora knew that she was lying. But she shut her mouth when it already caught Roy's attention and she didn't want to be an attention-seeker too.
On the other side, Sandra angrily looked at Jasmine after she read her response. She smirked, flipped her hair and her friends supported their wicked leader.
"Goodbye, everyone! See you all tomorrow!"
Finally, Mr. Yang dismissed the class that they have been waiting for. Jasmine stood up, walked into Halora's chair. She was smiling that spooked the hell out of her.
Confusingly, Halora looked at her as she closed the English books and set it aside. And the truth was, Jasmine's suspicious actions disturbed her.
She said, "I know what you're thinking right now! Please, if you want to be a good, real friend to me, you will never be in trouble especially against Sandra–"
"I hate that girl! And I will never forget what she did to you, over my dead, tanned body!" she said exasperatedly.
Halora has no choice but face palmed after failing to stop her then sighed heavily in disbelief.
Until she saw Sandra walked behind through her peripheral vision. Her heart thumped too fast, held Jasmine's arm tightly not because she was afraid but because it was just a waste of time and strength.
However, it seemed like no one wanted to be a loser. And between Sandra and Jasmine, Jasmine has the greater chance of winning.
"Jasmine Yu...," Sandra began. She was holding the crumpled paper, smirked in front of them until she hit Jasmine's head.
It caught their classmates' attention and they have different bet between the two, strong rivals.
"Oh! I thought it was the right bin!" Sandra said mischievously.
But Jasmine didn't panic, instead, she picked up the paper from the floor, stood right in front of Sandra and she replied, "If Halora hates having trouble with you, then I am the opposite because I love childish cat fights, anywhere... and anytime."
Halora covered her face as they started a fight now. Their first meeting was completely a blast as they both wanted to blow fire to each other's faces.
But Sandra clapped her hands playfully. She acted like she was surprised by Jasmine's bravery but the truth was, she just wanted to piss her off.
"No, thank you! I am not that cheap girl who will be in a cat fight against a tanned-skin girl like you!"
"What did you say, slow–headed snail?" Jasmine yelled.
And the tone of her voice provoked Sandra and she felt offended by the slow-headed snail thing.
Without an intro, and dramatic speech, Sandra pulled out her hair that made their classmates yelled. "How dare you called me a slow-headed snail?"
"E– eve– everyone around us know about it! You are just a beauty but your head functions as slow as the snail!" Jasmine replied sarcastically and she aggressively grabbed the opponent's hair.
But before their next teacher witness it, Halora quickly ran to Roy but he just shrugged off his shoulders and he said, "Just let them pull their hair. They'll stop when they turns bold and bald."
Roy winked at Halora as finally, after Sandra's long reign, she just met her new, best nightmare at the right time.
