Chapter 183 - 183: A Mother's Selfish Favor

"He's with someone else, and I am not lying to you, my old friend." Sandra walked closer to her.

Flipped her hair slowly, breathed heavily while Halora remained speechless and couldn't even move her feet that was glued to the ground.

"Let's go, Jas! You're right, we're just wasting our time here and Mrs. Lee must be waiting for me now."

Despite being affected by the bad news, Halora managed to make an alibi and turned the situation upside down. She has been quiet for a long, long years and as long as she's in the right place, she would fight for it.

Right then, they started to walk away from Sandra but she won't let them left too easily without seeing Halora in tears and pain.

She carelessly pulled Halora's hair, smirked when she sensed that her plans went well.

"If you are brave enough to see these pictures, you won't let it slip that way, Halora! Show me how brave you are!"

"No, don't do it, Halora. She's just testing your patience and if you will fall into her trap, you'll be the loser in the end." Jasmine warned her but Halora was too persistent.

She gasped, let go of Jasmine's hands and faced Sandra who has a bitter, cold smile on her lips. She stood, watched Sandra who quickly took out her phone from her pocket.

"Show me the pictures...," she said coldly.

But deep inside, her chest almost explode in pain. Her weak knees, pale lips and wicked mind began to react irrationally.

"Here, take a look of that one!" she murmured, gave the phone to Halora as her eyes stuck on the screen. "We're going to the school cafeteria after we left, but from afar, Chloe saw him with that girl."

She sighed, pretended that she cared for Halora. "At first glance they looked like an ordinary close friends but at the next picture, we speculated that there's something between them. And you know what, he never smiled that candid with me nor with you."

"Stop right there, snail–headed girl! Can't you just go home with your lame adherents and just watch your favorite movie!"

Sunny gritted her teeth, "What did you say? Don't tell us what to do, because we're just telling your friend that her knight shining armor is flirting with someone who looks more beautiful, and sexier than her!"

Loud voice echoed around the hallway that caught the students' attention who just passing through.

It wasn't new to them but everytime they saw Sandra and Halora fighting, it made them stopped without someone's approval.

While Halora is in the middle of denial, Sandra poisoned her by lies and judgements without proofs. She jumped into conclusion that Sebastian flirted with someone who was perfect and beautiful for him.

"See all the pictures? I'm telling you, Halora. If you have feelings for him, rather bury it deeper into the ground and just accept the truth that no one will gonna love you." said Sandra.

Her friends behind giggled mischievously when they saw Halora's epic reaction. Pain plastered on her face but she didn't pull Sandra's hair.

Instead, she said nothing, bowed her head in shame and ran away from them. "We're not yet done." said Jasmine before she followed and chased Halora.

Along the way, she couldn't believe that she was fooled by the campus bad boy. She couldn't either understand why she acted that way when the first place, they have no relationship at all.

But instead of critizing Halora's action, she just followed her behind, remained silent until they stopped right in front of the principal's office.

"Wait for me here. It'll be quick but if you want to go somewhere else, just do so."

Halora sounded like a bitter, cold and broken hearted school girl. Just a snap of someone's finger, her mood eventually changed without even knowing the truth behind those flirtatious pictures.

She slowly pushed the door, earned courage and smiled sweetly as if nothing happened.

As soon as she entered into such peaceful, calm office, she saw a table with three chairs aside. At the right side, there was the principal's assistant who was sitting in front of her computer.

Halora gasped, "Excuse me, I... I am here to see Mrs. Lee."

"Ohh, she's been waiting for you, Young Lady! Please follow me inside."

With a smile on her face, Halora followed the assistant to the door at the left side. It was too quiet that somehow cleansed her soul.

"Just wait for a moment, I'll tell you're here." said the woman as she quickly knocked on the small door just few steps away from Halora.

The entire room was quite conducive, surrounded with certificates and awards of Mrs. Lee.

"Huh, it's making me nervous every time I am at this place." she murmured, embraced herself as the cold wind touched on her skin.

After a couple of seconds, the door opened and Mrs. Lee went out with her assistant. She was smiling widely until she stopped right in front of her, "Take a seat, Halora. Don't worry, we are alone in this room."

"I– it's my pleasure to be here again, Mrs. Lee." replied Halora in a hollow voice.

They both seated, but sophisticated woman looked at Halora's face. She couldn't find any exact words to describe her feelings towards such kind and intelligent girl like Halora.

Slowly, she reached for Halora's cold hands. She gasped, seemed like hesitant to start a deep conversation.

But Halora sensed it too as she smiled shortly and took the initiate instead. "I... I am nervous when you told me that you want to speak with me, Mrs. Lee...," she paused, swallowed greedily.

"I– if it is about Sandra–"

"That's the reason why I want to speak with you, Halora. On behalf of my daughter, I summoned you for a favor." said Mrs. Lee in strange way.

This time around, she was Sandra's mother and not the school principal. She breathed heavily, looked at Halora's brown eyes for a second.

"I know this might be hard for you but... but will you surrender Sebastian and let him be with my daughter?"

Halora widened her eyes and the pain she felt earlier almost devoured her sanity and well-being.
