Jasmine was certainly caught off guard by the sight of stunning, gorgeous young lady who stood in front of her.
She didn't know where it came from but the glamorous dress sparkled like a diamond.
"Oh, my goodness! You look like a goddess, Halora!"
Her eyes filled with amusement as she couldn't turn her head out of Halora's face.
She walked closely, reached for her perfect, flawless skin and rubbed it gently like a baby's skin.
"Wait! I must change it now since you're here!" said Halora innocently.
But she didn't know that she owned the dress and Jasmine has nothing to do with it.
Halora slowly took steps towards the empty, cozy fitting room until Madam Sha blocked the way with a playful smile on her face.
She raised her brow and she said, "Someone sent it for you, Halora. In other words, you owned this dress now and look at Jasmine, she's wearing a glowing red dress."
Halora was left speechless when she heard the truth. But there was a big question that bothered her suddenly.
"Who would it be?" she asked suspiciously.
Madam Sha shrugged off her shoulders and told her a secret admirer sent the dress and a pair of sliver stiletto.
Yet Halora wasn't convinced that it came from a secret admirer. She has a strong feeling that someone sent it for her with hidden agenda.
She wasn't sure what it was and for the meantime, she set it aside and took a deep breath. "I wonder who it was, but I guess I should put it aside and attend the party for now."
"That's the best decision, young lady. Who knows, it was truly your secret admirer who bought this for you."
A sweet, encouraging smile flaunted on Madam Sha's face. Before they leave, she looked at Halora and Jasmine's make-up.
She said, "It's time to go by now, ladies! Enjoy and don't forget to take pictures, do you understand?"
"Yes, Madam Sha. Thank you so much for your efforts and dedication." said Jasmine.
Right then, the both of them walked slowly towards the door with wide smile on their faces. Halora waved he hand on Madam Sha who completely loved her new, refreshing look.
She looked like a supermodel as her hair glowed and being emphasized. Her brown, alluring eyes matched perfectly to its round, adorable shape.
"Good luck, Halora!"
That was the last words she heard after the door closed automatically.
When they walked into the hallway filled with customers who were waiting for their turn was amazed by Halora and Jasmine's transformation.
They looked like beauty queens who were ready to nail it and show to the whole world what they got.
"Oh, my goodness! They both look stunning especially the girl wearing the white dress!" said one of the customers.
Halora bowed her head and smiled at the people who complimented her. She never thought a lot of customers were waiting at the hallway.
She clasped her hands and walked like a princess with out confidence. "I thought, there was no one around!" she whispered as she felt embarrassed and nervous.
"Hold my hands, Halora! Markus is on his way now."
Like a little girl, Halora quickly held her hand while the driver and an employee escorted them towards the exit.
Deeply, Halora tried to catch her breath, listening to the people's voices which echoed around. If only she has the power to be an invisible, she would have use it right away to avoid the crowd's different opinions.
Fortunately, before they reached the building's exit, Jasmine saw Markus' car through the window. She knew it was his car that made her stopped for a moment.
She said, "Markus arrived early than what we expected. Do you have any feeing that he was the one who bought the dress for you?"
"What? I… I d-don't he would do that thing! He's my friend and if he truly bought it, then he should have written his name on the letter."
"You have a point, but we don't know… he's trying to be a secret admirer because he's afraid of Sebastian."
Jasmine tried to mock her but it was not a funny thing at all. Until she waved her hands on Markus the moment she met her gaze.
She looked into Halora's way for a second, took a deep breath and she said, "Are you ready?"
Halora slightly nod her head while Markus walked towards them. He looked like a demi-god with his new haircut, a black suit that fitted his perfect body.
She gulped countless times when she remembered that Sebastian knew nothing about the party. She wasn't sure if he was even invited by Maxine despite everything that happened between them.
"You're sweating!" Jasmine disturbingly whispered to her ears.
But Halora smiled bitterly until Markus laid his eyes on her that fluttered her heart all out of the blue. His deep gaze seemed different than ordinary days that passed by.
She only felt the same feeling every time Sebastian was around. And now that it was someone else, it worried her system.
A few seconds passed by as Markus smiled sweetly at her. He bowed his head, offered her arms to Halora who remained calm despite the intense feeling inside of her chest.
He said, "You are certainly jaw-dropping, Halora!"
Halora giggled awkwardly while Jasmine chose to be silent. She knew Markus felt something towards her friend but it was wrong to pursue it right now.
"T- thank you, Markus!" Halora replied genuinely as she slowly reached for his arm.
Markus took a deep, long sigh and never looked away from Halora's face. It was a little bit uncomfortable for Halora yet, she didn't give meaning to his strange actions.
"That's enough! We're getting late if we will stay, looking at each other the whole night. Am I right, Markus?"
Halora quickly looked at Jasmine who saved her from a drowning, melting stare. Her heart suddenly stopped beating at the moment when Markus opened the door for her and Jasmine
But before he drove slowly, Halora borrowed Jasmine's phone and called Sebastian's number.
She was nervous waiting him to pick up the phone but the only answer she received was, "I'm sorry, the user is currently unavailable."
And it somehow broke her heart into tiny pieces after a while.
