Chapter 267 - 267: Farewell To You

Soft like a viscous mud, Damara's hidden tentacles torn into pieces by a single attack behind her back.

Her face filled with animosity and felt an unexplainable pain inside of her body. It felt like a sharp, small creature ate her flesh mercilessly.

She discovered it in a few months of hiding in a dark, far mountain surrounded with ferocious creatures and soothing gigantic trees.

Damara spent her life discovering and sharpening her skills while no one else could see her true pain, struggles and weaknesses.

Instead of being true to herself, to ask for forgiveness and fight against anger, she then chose to be something different and out of control.

And even a well-trained killer wouldn't have a chance to cut her limbs and feet at all.

"N-no... I-it c-can't be! It's made up of a powerful spell and it should have regenerated like a lizard!" she screamed, closed her fists in anger.

Damara almost used her strengths and abilities while the enemy remained naive and afraid of her true knowledge.

And that is one of the main reasons why she loathe Halora. Pretending like a nobody made her sick and tired of humans foolishness.

If there's a better way to defeat her, she should have been more stronger than ever. However, lacking of ideas and plans would be a disadvantage for her at the moment.

Damara frighteningly looked around her and her speculations were right. Halora and her allies stood firm around her, waiting for an assault.

Deeply, she breathed and let the worthless tentacles melted by the spell she made. Damara was barely covered with a ragged black, long dress while the cold wind blew up her black, shining hair.

"You have nowhere to go, Damara! Your weak allies must have been killed by Sebastian." said Roy beside Zenith.

With no hesitation, he agreed when someone asked for his help to save Halora and everyone around him.

His life would never be meaningful if he let Halora fight by herself and wait for a result. Since then, he wanted to be her protector who won't afraid of dying... and now, everything happened according to his will.

However, as Damara remained silent and unguarded, Halora felt a little strange feeling. It was no ordinary nor strong, but it seemed familiar with her.

She surprisingly took steps backward, bent her right knee and she said, "It's not yet over."

It shocked everyone until Kairos laid his eyes on him. "Give us orders, My Queen. We are ready to fight, to win and be killed!" he eagerly replied.

Markus secretly looked into her eyes and he didn't fail in the end. The young which met his worried gaze, but to give him hope and strength, she gasped and smiled over her shoulders.

Deep inside, he wanted to smile as wide as it is but he realized that it was not the right place to be drowned by his feelings.

Markus gulped as he murmured that echoed around the wide field, "Say it, Halora! Say it, now!"

Halora was taken aback when Damara has finally controlled a few damaged parts of her body. Blood vanished from open wounds and there were no scars left.

It was a supernatural way of healing process of a witch. No wonder she slayed the werewolves who tried to kill her many years ago.

That was right. Halora gathered information about the werewolves' history and the pack who attacked Damara that bright night was Markus' and his friends.

Thus, before their death, Halora closed her fists and faced everyone behind her. She has no plan to retreat as well as to lose a once in a blue moon war.

Halora was given a mission that would entirely change her life. She came too far and endured enough pain to be the woman she wanted to be since she was left in the dark corner alone and afraid.

Right then, she must return back the favor and trust that given by her friends, allies and by strangers.

"Roy, Zenith, please secure the student's safety as well as the nearby places! I can't bear to hear death cases this time."

"Copy that, Halora!" said Roy and tightly held Zenith's hand.

Halora looked at Kairos' eyes and she ordered him to look for Sebastian. And the ones who left were Markus and Jasmine who showed nothing but resilience.

Jasmine walked closer to her while the enemy was still harmless. She smiled, tapped Halora's shoulder gently.

"I'm glad to see you back, Halora." she murmured.

But with unsure smile, Halora replied calmly at her. "I am happy to know that you're finally recovered, but still, I can't stop thinking about the future- the result of this bloody circumstances."

Jasmine shook her head in agreement but there's one thing that Halora forgot to ask.

Her beautiful eyes twinkled while her hands became too cold and sweaty. "Beautiful days will come, and we don't have to live in vain any longer. Together, we will recreate our own world and destiny!"

It was the first moment that Jasmine talked seriously about an important matter. Beneath those tantalizing, deep eyes, there was a lovely yet, decisive young woman who knew her purpose and path to take.

"Don't be afraid, Halora. Use your ability as a witch to manipulate your beautiful aunt standing right there."

Jasmine pointed Damara's location effortlessly. After Roy Roy slivered her tentacles into pieces, she quickly healed the wounds through the power within the ring of heaven.

However, at one glance at her hands, Halora widened her eyes and a ball of fire appeared out of nowhere.

There was no time left to escape but she thought of Jasmine and Markus' safety more than her life.

Damara chuckled sarcastically as she plainly threw the burning ball of fire with no hesitation in her eyes.

"Say farewell to your friends, Halora. I don't have much time playing a childing game with you all." Damara murmured as a creepy grin flushed on to her lips.

"NO!"

"MARKUS!"

"JASMINE!"

"HALORA!"

A loud and clear sound caught the other's attention who tried to complete Halora's orders.

They saw a bright light from afar until they realized that it was an enemy's vengeance.
