Episode 255- I got bullied but bullied them back
Moniqua hesitated, she wanted to ask what favor Eugene asked from the Emperor, however, she said nothing in the end. Eugene paused for a second because she saw Moniqua's hesitant attitude. Though she might not be able to tell Moniqua what she had asked for, but other than that, everything else is fine.
"As a return for the favor I asked for, I am to be a good student, enrol in the academy, and graduate." Eugene smiled lightly as she said this. Her polite smile was awkward of course, but Moniqua skipped past her polite behavior and focused on Eugene's words.
"He told you to enrol to the academy? Soon?" There was an unexplainable emotion in Moniqua's voice as she asked Eugene for confirmation.
Eugene nodded.
"That bastard…" She cussed lightly under her breath not knowing that her cuss was as loud as day for Eugene.
"What's wrong mother? Do you not want me to enrol to the academy?" Eugene asked, confused over Moniqua's reaction. She had thought that Moinqua would be happy that her children were fulfilling education, especially because even the Emperor insisted.
"Ah…" Moniqua looked away. Her eyes darted left and right before saying, "It's a mix of happiness and sadness."
Eugene mouthed an 'Oh.' Then did the Emperor insist because he didn't want her to run away too soon? She thought quietly. And here she thought it was the opposite.
"What did you do at the training grounds?" Moniqua asked as she sipped on her tea.
Eugene considered what she should tell Moniqua for a moment. In the end she decided to tell Moniqua the truth.
"I got bullied but bullied them back." Her voice was neutral and chill, sounding as if nothing much happened.
"Is that so… WHAT?" Moniqua was nodding along with Eugene's words until her words truly registered in her mind. She choked on her tea and she grabbed her napkin to wipe her mouth!
"What did they do?!?" She asked again. Her voice 2 pitches higher.
Eugene pursed her lips, "Bullied me."
Moniqua's eyes widened in shock and asked, "And what did you do?"
Eugen nodded, "Beat them to a pulp." She brought her hands up and showed the trigger motion. Her trigger motion did not register in Moniqua's head as she could only focus on Eugene's hands that looked like a fist.
Moniqua gulped and calmed down, "Well… I trust in my daughter's abilities. " If Eugene said she beat them to a pulp, then she must've beaten them to a pulp. She reckoned the people Eugene beat up didn't have a single tooth left.
"What did you do after?" Moniqua asked.
"I said my goodbyes."
Moniqua was quiet this time as she stared at Eugene with a complicated face, "Yes, if you head to the academy soon, you have to say goodbyes…" She dragged her words as she glanced down at her feet. It was obvious to even Eugene that Moniqua did not want such a day to come. Well, hopefully, what she came for will cheer Moniqua up.
Eugene smiled at Moniqua, "Well…."

Moniqua stared at the ceiling with a blank face. She was staring at the cupid painting on her ceiling as Levis combed through her hair and set it up in a beautiful hairstyle. After that, Levis moved on to Moniqua's back, tightening her string on her dress. He began to tug at it very slowly. He did it slowly to get her attention however when he realized that no attention was given, he pouted and flicked her on the forehead.
"Ah!" Moniqua flinched as she glared at Levis, "Why did you flick me?"
Levis raised a brow, "Are you that happy?" He asked her. His voice contained a fit of slight jealousy that only Moniqua could discern.
Moniqua nodded, "I am." She smiled sweetly making Levis laugh alongside. Levis turned away and grabbed Moniqua eyeshadow and began to apply a light brown on them.
"Well, have fun on your date." He said through applying her eyeshadow, and quickly moving on to her lips. Instead of adding color, he added a gloss, making her lips very shiny.
"There. We are done." He said before holding his hands out to help Moniqua get up.
"Thank you very much." Moniqua smiled at Levis who smiled back. Getting ready together and helping each other out was their routine. It all began when they got married and they kept it until today. The reason why Levis applied Moniqua's makeup for her was that he did not want her to wear heavy makeup as it was the reason why he had noticed her in the first place.
Because of her punk rock-heavy thick makeup and her freestyle attitude, he wasn't able to keep his eyes off of her. Of course, her personality played a huge part in this as well, and before he realized it, he was only looking at her.
Moniqua objected to this at first, saying that men would stay away because of her dark gothic makeup and funeral dresses but Levis insisted. Obviously, Moniqua did not care about her heavy makeup which was why she let Levis do whatever he wanted, but she also knew that if she insisted on wearing her dark era makeup, Levis would've let her do it anyway. That's why to Moniqua, she thought that the reason why Levis insisted on applying her makeup every day was that he just wanted to spend more time with her.
"Let's go," Levis said as he escorted Moniqua out the door. Today, Moniqua was wearing a beautiful Victorian dress with black and gold laces. Moniqua was already very beautiful but when she's dressed up, she became even more beautiful. As she stepped downstairs, she was greeted with the sight of Eugene.
Eugene turned to Moniqua and smiled politely, as she waited for Moniqua. They both wore the same dress, with matching hats, and there was no way no one could not mistake them as family or Mother and daughter with the obvious matching clothes they wore.
It was the first time in a while Eugene wore such aristocratic clothes, hence as soon as Moniqua, Levis, Aernest, and Ramon laid their eyes on her, they could only stare at her in shock.
"About time you look half decent." Muttered Louis who was leaning against the stairways.
"...Thanks." Ever since the incident, Eugene knew how much Louis actually cared for her, hence took his every word positivity. Half decent = very beautiful.
"..." Louis' lips twitched and he turned away, heading upstairs.
Levis escorted Moniqua and Eugene out of the carriage before bidding them goodbye. Yes, if it wasn't already obvious enough, Moniqua and Eugene were going out on a date. And it was Eugene who had asked Moniqua out the day previous, surprising and shocking Moniqua.
"... What would you like to do today, Mother?" Eugene turned to Moniqua and asked, "Whatever you want to do, we can do." She said softly as she watched the scenery passing by them quickly.
"Hmn..." Moniqua thought for a second. It was her first time going out with Eugene alone, and she wanted it to be special, however, she also didn't know what to do as she was not someone who goes out frequently.
"Then let's do what we normally do, but together… on a date." As Moniqua finished, she blushed heavily and moved her face to the side in a shy and embarrassed motion. Eugene tilted her head as she did not understand Moniqua's reaction but she didn't say anything.
As they arrived in town, the first thing they did was go to the cafe the Veria family-owned. Eugene glanced at the menu, and though there were only sweets, she decided to order them for this occasion, surprising Moniqua a lot.
They sat and relaxed while sipping tea and nibbling on the sweets every now and then. In their opinion, this was already a wonderful date as even though they weren't talking most of the time, it felt as if they were truly forming a bond. A new family bond that they didn't know was much needed.
After eating at the cafe, Eugene took Moniqua to go dress shopping. Though Eugene didn't really like shopping, she had a sense of style and added one or two designs here and there to improve Moniqua dress, making Moniqua incredibly happy! Well, her style was crafted in her former world. So this was not some 'artistic' talent, because she truly did not have one.
Moniqua was very happy with her design, so Eugene thought of the rest of her family members.
It didn't take long before Eugene decided to make some designs for Levis, Louis, Ramon, and Aernest. Though she was bad at drawing, she could point things out here and there making it stylish. It was a whole shopping ordeal and both Moniqua and Eugene chose the boys' outfits from head to toe, including the fine jewelry to make everyone look good.. It was a shop the Veria family frequented so there was no problem with measurements.
