Episode 263- Entrance and Course exam day!
Specialized classes include Medical studies, Business studies, Knight studies, History studies, and Trading studies, etc., etc.
Camille blinked as she allowed the information to sink in, "Oh... I may or may not have ticked all the specialized studies."
Watt was in deep thoughts for a moment and said, "I'm sure the teacher will notice something wrong with it and hand you a new sheet to fill out." In the end, he couldn't help but chuckle.
"Besides Camille, who will be taking what?" Ppa asked as he turned to Aernest and Eugene.
Aernest responded first, "I ticked knight studies. What about you sister?" He turned to Eugene as he didn't know if Eugene's choice to study business studies would be the same anymore.
"I ticked history classes." Eugene said suddenly which surprised the living life out of Aernest.
"Excuse me? Sister?!" His voice was raised slightly as he was in total shock! He would not have been this shocked if Eugene had just decided to take the general studies, but history?!
Eugene nodded, "I changed my mind and want to study history instead."
"But specialized history?" Aernest repeated again, speechlessness in his voice.
Eugene nodded. The reason why she changed her mind from business to history was that she wanted to study what was useful to her. Yes, business was useful, however, she was somewhat well versed in the business area and knows a bit of how it works already which is why she changed her mind. She didn't know too much about Xenperia's history, and she wanted to know more about this world, and maybe find out more about Occul which is why she chose this subject.
Aernest's mouth did not close until Camille turned to Ppa and Watt and asked what subjects they were interested in.
"I will take business study, while Ppa will take trading studies." Watt replied. The reason why they chose to do separate subjects was so that they could come together later in the future and collaborate. It was a smart decision for the future.
By the time they finished talking, it was already almost dinner time, which Eugene respectfully and shady-ly took Camille before anyone could mention eating dinner together. Aernest, Watt, and Ppa would eventually realize what Eugene had done when the alarm bell indicating dinner rang.

The next day…
Eugene and Camille walked to the assembly hall together when they realized that though people were still avoiding them, there were some people openly showing their hostility towards them. Well, only the noble ladies were showing hostility towards them.
Eugene and Camille nevertheless continued to walk forward when suddenly a group of noble girls began to whisper with each other. Camille didn't hear this, however, Eugene did with her good hearings.
"Did you see that? She totally ignored us. What a stuck-up person." Eugene's ears twitched but she didn't turn around to look at the person who spoke and instead headed to the seat she sat in the previous day.
"She is just as known as what was said in our circle. Stuck up, and unsociable. Not to mention, she doesn't act like a female noble." someone else whispered.
Eugene raised a brow, 'Like what was said in our circle.' Which means she has been a topic of discussion before she began school? Eugene almost laughed out loud.
"A private room to eat just because she's a great noble? Who does she think she is?" Another whispered.
"She's definitely going to only take the general studies. Why would she want to study more?"
"If she is this stuck up, do you think she's been taking her noble lessons at all? Maybe she's never studied once in her life!"
"That is possible, after all, she is a great noble."
"I heard she is a paladin?"
"That's just her title. She wouldn't train."
'Ah.' Eugene glanced towards the ceiling, 'Is this about the abandoned canteen?' She almost rolled her eyes but then again chose not to do it. Eugene decided to ignore everything that was being said about her because there were too many people mentioning her name. She also couldn't keep at it anymore either. In any case, she now understands why they had been shuffling and getting out of her way so much.
It was because of the incident with the teacher who treated her especially, and also because she had passed the poster to the principal. Though she didn't want attention and didn't do anything to garner attention, she was already the center of attraction due to the teacher's few words.
Was Eugene going to respond? No. Because them staying out of her way and staying away from her is a good thing. She would rather be ignored than be crowded.
After the students settled in at the assembly hall, many teachers walked in. The teachers headed to the students one by one and handed each of the students' files containing the test they wanted to take. Unlike what Watt said the day previous where the teacher will make Camille fill out another sheet, Camille got all of the specialized subjects she ticked to test. Not only that, but she also has the prior knowledge test she had to do.
Everyone stared at Camille. Of course, they had to stare at her. Her table was the only table stacked up high with paper. The worst part is because it was a re-attachable table, the table was small so there was no space for Camille to work on her test.
Camille turned to Eugene and gulped. Eugene could do nothing but shrug. Her face showed you reap what you sow. Camille's face scrunched up before she turned to the papers stacked up high. She couldn't even see the teachers who were standing on the podium due to how many tests she had to take.
"Now. One of the sheets is your entrance exam. Your entrance exam is basically a test to test out your general knowledge. At the end of your general knowledge, you will be given a comprehension test. This will determine what level you are even if your general knowledge is not strong. After all, the speed and power in which you take in information are also important and it should also be a factor which will determine your overall grade." He paused for a second before continuing,
"Your second sheet is your course exams. One of the pages will test if you have any prior knowledge of your subject and the rest of your comprehension test. It will test if you can comprehend the information given in the test, and understand it. This will be a factor and will add in to determine your knowledge power" He paused again as he watched the students' nervous faces.
"The entrance test and the course exam will add up and determine your class. Class A, Class B, Class C, and Class D. Class A is for those who score the highest, and Class D is for those who score low." He paused as if he had something more he had to say. There was hesitation in his eyes and it looked like he decided not to say it.
"Every 4 months, there will be an evaluation test which will test you if you have what it takes to move to the upper class. If you score badly, you will be moved to the lower class."
"Now. Please try to complete everything that is given to you. Us teachers have a lot of time, so there will be no time limit." The principal smiled, the corner of his eyes stared at the stacks of paper on Camille's table.
"You may now begin."
Eugene flipped over her entrance exam and jotted her name down before anything. It was one of the first things the teacher on the podium warned, however it was also something that her teachers in her former world warned her to do as well. Because apparently there exist students who forget to write their names on their sheets. After that Eugene headed for the first question.
Which of the following…
That was all the questions started off with. What continent are we living in? What is Promissum? Who controls Xenperia state of affairs. When was this academy made? Whom was it made by and for? What is knowledge?
After that, it was basic maths questions, geography questions, and finally, there was one blank page where students must write about the topic relating to today's state of affairs between nobles and commoners. This Eugene found surprising. It was a question no one would dare ask and would bring people who are writing to think very deeply and carefully. She felt that this was a trick question. A question that would truly test out if the person was an ignorant person or was someone with knowledge.
Eugene didn't have to think much at all and began writing her answers.. And when she set her pen down, half a page was written.
