Chapter 134 - An Illusion?

It was already 8 am in morning.

The weather has been pretty blissful lately after the heavy rainfall that showered on Rione Monti a few days back. The sun was radiating its golden warm beam and with the mild spring breeze floating around, the atmosphere was perfect for a day-out.

Sitting at the subway station, Eva was quietly waiting for her train. She had to visit the Brooklyn Coffee Farm in the countryside to run the errands as she was instructed by Mr. Beck. Wearing a light yellow knee-length skirt with a full sleeve white lace top and minimal makeup, she was looking enough attractive to catch the attention of young fellows passing by her in the station. But her facial expression seemed dense. She was playing with the hematite pendant on her neck, sighing out deeply.

"Why did Mr. Czar sobbed so much yesterday? Did I really say something terrible? Damn... I...I don't even know why he was trying so hard to scare me...but...is there something horrifying that I don't know yet? I couldn't get a wink of sleep last night...Hopefully, my day out today will help me to forget about the chaos that happened last night... I...I really want to live a happy life now with Zeus by my side..."

Wondering deep down inside her mind, she looked up at the clear blue horizon with a sad gaze in her eyes. "God...I guess you have given me enough miseries to deal with at such a young age... All I have now is him... Please let me live happily with him. I know it may sound tough, but don't let any obstacles separate us ever... I beg of you, please..." She mumbled in a low pitch and quickly, lowered her gaze down.

At that moment her train had arrived at the subway station and abruptly she stood up from the bench, to walk inside the train with a frown grimace. The moment the glass doors opened, a crowd of people immediately dashed inside including Eva who was hauled along with the people. As soon as she stepped inside, the area was thickly packed with people, and making her way at the corner, she turned her gaze towards the station before the door closed again.

Suddenly, witnessing an unexpected sight she flinched quite hard! Clearly, she could saw wearing a black full sleeve long coat and a black hat, Mr. Beck was glaring at her standing amidst the crowd in the station. His eyes were entirely black without the whitish part and it looked terrifying than that of a monster! As soon as her eyes met him, in a flick of a second, it seemed as if he disappeared in thin air!

"Wh-What the heck?" Mumbling being alarmed and baffled, Eva tried to walk back onto the platform but the doors closed forbidding her from getting out. The train started running instantly but holding a confused expression, she stood at the door, breathing out intensely.

"I...I saw him...I clearly saw him...But...how could he disappear like that? I...I am not...mistaken! I definitely saw Mr. Beck...He...He was glaring at me... But, how is that possible? In that letter, he had written to me that he will be out of town for two days...

Then...was it an illusion? But..those eyes... They weren't of any human... I...I am getting chills over my spine just by thinking about those eyes...

But how is this possible? No... I guess I must be really hallucinating since I didn't get a wink of sleep last night... Maybe I really saw it all wrong!" Taking a deep sigh out, she leaned her head on the door tapping her chest a few times to soothe herself down from the trepidation.

"Relax Eva...It must be an illusion...So many awful things have been happening with me, so, I must have become overly skeptical of everything...

I guess this day out will help me relieve myself..." She mumbled to herself, in a sonorous low voice.

....

"Ughhh, my head!"

Waking up on the bed with a tingling sensation and a throbbing headache, Czar clenched his forehead tight while sitting up on the bed. His eyes were half-closed and slowly, he unfolded his blurry gaze trying to glimpse around his surrounding.

"Good morning, master."

The familiar gentle voice in front of him startled him a bit as he quickly raised his chin at the front, swirling his pupils. Clara was standing near the door holding a warm smile on her face and as he glanced around, he was back again in her bedroom, lying on her fluffy bed.

"Wh-What am I doing here again?" Scrunching his eyebrows, he murmured his whining at her to which she softly snickered

"Well, this time I was the one who brought you here last night, master. Since you were too drunk and didn't want to head back home, I had no other choice rather than to bring you here. Are you alright now?" She walked a step closer to him, crossing her arms behind her.

Czar was quite perplexed hearing her remark. But the thing which puzzled her the most was he was wearing a Winnie Pooh yellow t-shirt and loose pajamas rather than his typical suit. Bewildered at the sight, he inquired her bluntly, "why am I wearing such girly clothes? What happened to my suit?"

"You were drenched in sweat and reeking of alcohol. Sorry, but I had no other choice than to change your clothes into my spare oversize shirt and pajamas."

"What? You changed my clothes?" Shocked at her statement, he shrieked out swirling his eyes wider.

"Yes...As I said, master, I didn't have any choice. But you...look pretty cute in my clothes." A small sly smirk escaped her lips as she murmured gallantly, staring at him.

"Wh-What the hell? This is the invasion of my privacy! How could you undress me without my own will? This is a crime---ughh!" His head twitched hard again as he was yelling out his frustration which slurred his speech.

"Master, don't worry about such a trivial matter. I didn't see anything." She quickly came forward and handed him a bottle of syrup looking concerned for him. "Here, drink this syrup and come out for breakfast. This will help you to cure your hangover. Okay?"

Without objecting to her, he obediently took the syrup and frowned his face glancing at the shirt he was wearing. Looking at his pouty face, she smiled and was headed back outside the room.

As soon as she reached the door, her feet halted for a moment and she turned behind at him, "actually...I...saw that thing of yours...But don't worry, I will pretend as if I didn't see anything..." She chuckled with a sly gaze and walked out of the room.

Flustered red in embarrassment, Czar yelled out aloud at her, "Hey! How could you!"
