Chapter 142 - Cynthia

Lingaa's apartment

Aksa was sitting with Lingaa and discussing about the lead they had got about August.

"He is not the only one who is into human trafficking but there is also some one who is helping him" Aksa had been keeping a track on August's every move. One of his informer had told him about him being help by a secret team. They have been trying to get hold on them but the man was so smart that he was good at hiding every link.

Lingaa who was listening his every words without looking at him as he was busy reading the piece of information he had found.

Aksa stopped talking when he didn't hear a word from Lingaa and turn to look at him who was involve in reading some paper.

"What are you busy reading?" he asked.

Lingaa was brought out from the thought and lifted his head to look at Aksa who was waiting for him to speak.

When Lingaa didn't tell anything and kept looking at him with fixed eyes, Aksa took the paper from his hand and read it," Cynthia" 

Aksa had been following the girl and keeping an eyes of her every need. After being left by Lucas men she had been very careful to even step a foot out from her house. They had got the detail that her mother was a heart patient and had suffered two stroke before and she was in desperate need for money due to which she had agreed to help them without even meeting them.

"Why do you keep reading about her?" he asked.

From the time Lingaa decided to help the girl secretly, he had developed a soft spot for her. He didn't knew it was out of pity or something else but he would keep reading about her and look at her every move without being caught.

She was a hard working women but for the need of money she had to sell her dignity and help them just to treat her mother. Lingaa felt bad for using her weakness for their stupid execution. He would've thought to replace one of his group girl to just act for Natasha to believe him.

"Is her mother being treated?" he asked recalling how she felt happy when she had received the amount of money they had send to her but her happiness didn't last to long because Lucas men had already took hold of her.

"She is good now and would be discharging from the hospital soon"

"Good keep me updating, I would like to meet her sometime" saying this he left the place.

Marcus secret base

"You son of a bit*h.... you where given one task to do still you are not able to do that" Marcus yelled making August flinch in fear.

"I've tried every mean but that Thomson's are not even ready to agree" he said in fear knowing that Marcus was now angered.

August had given him words to execute the plan secretly without being caught but his simple way to get hold on the assets only got backfired. He had assured him that Natasha would be able to seduce Lucas but she had failed badly.

"Your daughter is good for nothing but just a headache" Marcus yelled after listening how his daughter had tried to seduce Lucas.

"She would have been successful if Elena had not reached on time to spoil her plan" 

Natasha had spill every word to her father from Elena's accident to spiking Lucas drink. Every time she was defeated badly and now she had no other option left but to go with her fathers words.

"Henry's daughter is too smart to dodge the attack just like him" Marcus was impressed by how the girl had managed to survive even after being attacked twice.

"She is and had Lucas in her palm. That boy is not ready to spare a glance at Natasha and even insulted her when she told him to leave Elena because she love him" 

"Stupid girl.. she only has brain in her head but don't know how to use it" Marcus shook his head thinking what he was thinking when he trust his daughter to seduce Lucas. He should've known that the girl is good for nothing who only kept clearing her hurdles secretly but was not even been able to woo Lucas.

"You both need to stay silent and don't even utter a word" August was confused when he said them to be silent. Does it mean he was not going to get any shares from the assets or he had given up on them.

"Landon...

"Yes boss"

"When is the launch?" He asked his most trusted man. Marcus was not someone who would completely trust this father and daughter due. He knew how weak August would become in his daughter's love. From the beginning he had knew that this good for nothing people will not even be able to gain Thomson's trust. But still like a fool he trusted them.

"Boss after two days" he said.

Landon was just as cruel and ruthless like his boss. The most heartless person in their team. He had been trained to be cold blood and had successfully killed the people who created problem to them. The cops who had been appointed to get hold on them were parceled to the station without their body in one piece.

"Make sure to shoot the girl right between her glabella, she should not survive this attack" he said and the man went to follow his boss command.

Every guard was selected by Marcus and everyone were as cruel as their boss. The one who trained them to be ruthless was Landon. He was the commander to the guards and have been doing his job quite perfectly.

August was terrified by Marcus heartless words. He knew the man would not even let him go alive if he backstabs him.

'What mess I have got me into' August wanted to cry to getting himself involve with Marcus again. His greed made him agree to his words and now he had no other option but to follow whatever he does.

"Get your basement clear the stock would be delivered soon" Marcus words pulled back August from his thoughts. He nodded his head and said," It's already ready just call me when it arrives"

"Make sure no one sees it not even your daughter" getting up he left the place.

Marcus was not someone who like to stay in one city or state for long time. He had many other business to be taken care of and he only came to this city just to keep an eye on the Thomson's

Rosie mansion

"Yes mom everything is fine and I have learned to cook too" Elena rolled her eyes when she heard her mother nagging her about cooking. She very well knew her daughter was only expert in studies but was nil in cooking stuff.

"You better feed by son-in-law with healthy food" she warned making her daughter sigh.

Julian would always take her to the kitchen thinking that she would learn this time but every time she started to help her she would end up burning the food. After every fail attempt her mother gave up thinking it was not her cup of tea.

After talking with her mother on the call for some time she went down stairs to help Martha in cooking. The old lady was so sweet and patience with her when she taught her to cook food. Thanks to her guidance she had learn to make food which were good to taste and have also learn to not over cook it.

Lucas was in his study room busy with his meeting. She thought to let him finish his work and then they would have the dinner.

Walking to the terrace garden, Elena sat on the swing and looked up in the starry night recalling her first kiss with Lucas. The most memorable day of her life when she had accepted his love for her.

Elena kept swinging when she felt the swing stop and two pair of strong arms carried her. Lucas was done with his meeting and was searching Elena when Martha said she was up stairs.

Watching his wife enjoying her time on the swing looking at the sky, he walked to her taking her in his arms by surprise. He sat on the swing with her in his lap and circled his arms around her securely. 

"When did you come?" she asked when he was finally seated properly and now they were swinging slowly.

"Just a minute ago" Lucas made sure to be prepared as the software launch was in two day. It was a big project which they managed to snatch back from their rival. He made sure to do his best with everything he did and the software they were going to release was going to increase their market value all over the world.

"Sunshine do you remember our first kiss" he asked her the same thing which she was thinking a while ago before he came.

"Hmm"

"Do you want to share the same now?" He asked gazing his eyes on her pink lips.

There was not a moment where they had not kissed but every time it felt as if she was doing it for the first time.

"I don't mind" she smiled and kissed his lips with the same feel she felt when they had sealed their fate under the starry night.

Both where deep involve in their kiss when Lucas stomach growl. The loud churn sound pulled them back form their passionate kiss. Looking each other in surprise both burst into laugh.

"Let have dinner" Elena patted his stomach asking to calm down.
