"Don't! We already talked about it. He won't force me to do it," Han Mei assured.
"Really? How can you believe him, just like that?" Han Jie asked as he glared at her sister, before he threw a murderous stare at Suzuki Kyou.
Suzuki Kyou shrugged his shoulders. "I am more credible than you." He said matter-of-fact.
"I now, know that you threatened my sister. You… You…." Han Jie said pointing at him in anger. She was not sure what to say. It was like the entire good image that she has about Suzuki Kyou was shattered. The fact alone that he threatened her sister was already too much.
Did he ignore that fact that he has his own issues? That he has his own dirty laundry?
If the marriage really continued, and her sister is not aware about it, won't her sister suffer even if Suzuki Kyou allowed her to give birth to her child?
Han Jie was so upset to the point that was already trembling.
Han Mei released a deep breath before she held Han Jie's hand that was pointing at Suzuki Kyou. "Don't worry. It will be alright," She said.
"Impossible!" Han Jie could not accept it. "Oy! CEO Suzuki, let still make a deal! My sister is too good and naïve to be with you. Why not let me take her place? I assure you, I will be a good, convenient and understanding wife. I will make sure to keep all your secret as if they don't exist." Han Jie said loudly with a knowing smile on her face. 'Two can play his game of blackmailing ah!'
Suzuki Kyou smirked, "My secrets? Interesting." He said with a nod, before continuing, "So what if you do? I don't want you to be my wife, regardless of what you say."
Han Jie lips pursed, her eyes glaring daggers at him. There was pang of pain in her heart, urging her to pat her chest.
She felt… Han Jie felt rejected and unwanted…
'Crap! Why will I feel that? As if it's my loss to be with this evil creature,' She thought to herself. Han Jie still considered the possibility that Suzuki Kyou was still upset for being lied to and that was why he made things difficult.
"JieJie, let it go," Han Mei muttered as she held her sister's hands together.
Han Jie glared at her sister, "Are you sure you are fine being with this bully? What if you get bullied more after the marriage?" She asked, tone laced with unhappiness.
"That… Kyou, is not that bad. Just like this arrangement. Things are not so bad compared to what you are thinking now. Also there are still many things to do before the wedding.
Probably with that given time our interaction with each other will be better not bad," Han Mei said. She was starting to have a headache. In front of her was her sister who only wants the best for her. Her sister was even willing to sacrifice herself.
Won't she burry herself in a pit further by doing this?
If this continues, Han Mei won't have the guts to talk to him later!
While Han Mei was nervous, Han Jie would not want to let it go. But, she needed to concede. She could always do something later to vent out.
Nevertheless, her sister was right. There are many things that yet to be done before the wedding.
There will be opportunity to do many things to…
With that in mind, Han Jie nodded as if acknowledging her defeat.
"I understand," Han Jie said, before she held her sister's arms pulled her to stand behind. She then looked at Suzuki Kyou, "Sorry to disturb you. We will leave now and let you work in peace."
"MeiMei will stay," Suzuki Kyou replied immediately before they could even do one step.
Han Jie glared at him, "I will stay as well then," she as well. She was like a mother hen protecting its chicks against the big bad wolf.
Suzuki Kyou narrowed his eyes at Han Jie. He was not sure if he should be offended about the situation, especially on how she was acting or be amused instead. This future sister-in-law who probably got all the rebellious side of the Han family must be really courageous.
If Suzuki Kyou will remember the days that she pretended to be Han Mei, he could tell that she was just being her usual self. That time, she was only using her sister's name.
But could he really completely assume that aside from the name, the other things were all true. Better not.
"You will stay because?" Suzuki Kyou asked. Regardless of their previous issues, one thing was sure, was that Han Jie was acting like a light bulb and he don't like it.
Han Jie snorted, "Of course to make sure-" that you won't be bullying my sister. But she could not really say that.
"Make sure of what?" He questioned with narrowed eyes.
Han Jie pursed her lips unhappily. "I just want to make sure that I am here if she needs help," She said eventually.
Suzuki Kyou gave her a pointed look. 'So you think, I'm a decoration?'
He snorted, "She won't need your help. In case she will need one, that's definitely not from you." Suzuki Kyou said mockingly. He then looked at Han Mei, before speaking, "help your sister out. I need to discuss to you something important."
The was no need for the problematic Han family to continue poking there noise on his future wife's business. Suzuki Kyou has limited patience and with all the things that they have done so far, it was already a miracle that he was only all talk and no action against them yet.
But after the wedding, Suzuki Kyou is sure that his tolerance level for them would reduce significantly.
For now, he would let Han Jie do what she wants. After all, she's the one closest to Han Mei.
This twin sister will surely be bride's maid in the wedding.
He could just deal with her later if she won't stop bothering them.
One person in the room was thinking how to revenge before her sister's marriage, while the other wanted to take appropriate action after marriage.
Who would succeed?
That was a story for later. For now, Han Mei needed to make sure to get this small gathering as soon as possible.
She wanted to blame Han Jie for running off and finding trouble. Aside from Han Jie, she also wonders in annoyance why Han Jun would not even bother ease up the situation.
Han Jun was surely just outside Suzuki Kyou's office waiting for them the finish. If Han Jun was here, then it would be easier to talk sense with her sister.
"Are you going to tell me something confidential? If not, please let her stay," Han Mei asked. He only said that it was important, after all. If that was the case, then there was no harm for Han Jie to stay.
Han Jie thought the same too. With that, she made herself comfortable by sitting back on the chair. She picked the tall glass of the remaining cold chocolate drink and sip on it leisurely, but unethically. Because she made sure to drink so loud like a woman without manners just to annoy Suzuki Kyou.
After she was done, Han Jie then focused her attention to the cup of cool down warm chocolate. She drunk it the same way earlier. It was so loud that it's going to embarrass someone dining on a fine restaurant.
Initially Suzuki Kyou just found her action laughable. Of course, her doing this was petty as well in Suzuki Kyou's eyes.
He smirked and pressed the intercom to talk to Assistant Ye, "Bring another glass of cold chocolate drink. Miss Han loved the previous one. Good job," He praised.
Han Jie stiffened and did not continue drinking anymore. She still blatantly glared at Suzuki Kyou eventually.
After Han Mei chuckled nervously, "No need for another chocolate drink. I think JieJie already have enough sweets today…" Han Mei said before she sat next to her sister who was making things awkward. She knew if she won't stop now, Han Jie will continue causing disturbance.
Not only it won't be beneficial for Han Jie's health, it would also cause the atmosphere to uncomfortable. What if both of them prolong this?
