Before Suzuki Kyou could speak however, Assistant Ye arrived with another glass of cold chocolate. He smiled respectfully ignoring the weird atmosphere in the room.
After he placed the glass in the coffee table, he bowed and left immediately.
Han Jie snorted and picked up the drink. Let's see if you can ignore my presence with this, She thought to herself before attempting to drink.
Her attempt was halted however by Han Mei. She then whispered, "Do you want to have stomach ache? You have too much drink already. Can you behave?" Han Mei asked reprimanding, before taking the glass away from her sister.
Not waiting for Han Jie's response, "What do you want to tell me?" Han Mei asked Suzuki Kyou softly.
Suzuki Kyou did not really want for Han Jie to stay in the room when he talk about his family matters. However, Han Mei wanted something else.
What can he do? Might as well filter some stuff.
"As I mention before, you need to undergo cultural training before you meet my family," Suzuki Kyou said.
Han Mei nodded in understanding. She was aware how strict it was in the Suzuki family. Although her nationality is different from him, there should not be any problem right?
"Are they going to visit here?" Han Mei asked.
Suzuki Kyou shook his head. "My grandmother is already so old. We need to visit the elderly instead of them doing so," He replied expressionlessly. Not that the old lady of the Suzuki family could not travel, for Suzuki Kyou it was best to do it to avoid the elders telling bad things about him.
"We need to go to County J?" Han Mei asked with a stiff smile.
"Of course," He replied, his gaze cold as if the question was stupid.
Han Mei tried to smile, her face pale. She was having a hard time accepting that she needed to travel on a plane to meet her in-laws.
Suzuki Kyou frowned, "Are you not feeling well?" He asked with unmasked concern.
"What's wrong? Do you feel pain anywhere?" Han Jie asked worried as well. She was now touching her sister's forehead to check if she has fever.
"I'm fine," Han Mei tried to assure as she carefully push Han Jie's hand away. "I am just probably tired."
Suzuki Kyou stood up from his office chair before he walked towards them.
"I will bring you home. Then you can rest better," Suzuki Kyou said before he grabbed Han Mei's hand to help her stand up.
"What do you mean bring her home? We will go back to the hotel!" Han Jie declared.
Would Han Jie care if she was being insulted? Of course not!
"JieJie, it's fine. I already told you that I will stay in Kyou's house, right? Father also agreed about this," Han Mei reminded.
"But…" Han Jie don't want to be away from her sister, especially if she will be around a big bad wolf like Suzuki Kyou that seemed to be hiding on a sheep's skin.
It's just unsafe!
Han Mei pat Han Jie's head affectionately. As Han Jie's twin sister, it was easy to guess what the other was thinking.
"Don't worry. I'm not that fragile. I can still call the police if something happened to me," Han Mei joked. She then stood up from the chair.
Suzuki Kyou helped her get up, before they walked towards the door, intending to leave.
Seeing that her sister was being taken away, Han Jie immediately followed, watching with keen eyes.
When they got out of the room, there was Han Jun and Jonah, waiting for them as well aside from Suzuki Kyou's staff.
Han Jun gave Suzuki Kyou a nod to acknowledge before speaking, "Are you bringing her home now?" He asked.
Suzuki Kyou replied, "Yes. I already got everything that she needs."
Han Jun hummed, "Okay. We will see you then later. Our family will be going back leaving the hotel as well. You can visit the family as soon as the cultural training is done for MeiMei." He said.
The Suzuki family was very strict, that's a known fact. However, they were not strict because they were a rich family. They were strict because the family has royal bloodline.
County J was a country with monarchy still. Because of this, any royal branch family still needed to abide by the traditional rules.
Parties or gathering regulation were also followed. One could not embarrass the royal family. Even visitors needed to follow basic rules and etiquette else they might offend the royal family host.
If even guest needed to abide to this strict guidelines, what more for someone who will marry into the family?
Because of this, the cultural training that Han Mei needed master won't be so simple.
Sometimes, when thinking about these things that needed to be done before the marriage alone, in all honesty, Han Jun was still baffled why the Suzuki family allowed the marriage with the Han family.
Technically, Han Mei was a foreigner. Won't the royal family want to keep pure bloods within them? Why let an outsider get in?
It was still baffling.
He was still thinking about this deeply, even when they left the Suzuki offices.
Well, it was his way to ignore her cousin mumbling about the unfairness of the situation.
He also felt the same way before. But, if Suzuki Kyou was willing to take care of Han Mei to the extent of allowing the marriage to continue despite her already pregnant, it would still be beneficial to her as well. What if Suzuki Kyou would eventually love Han Mei?
But regardless of their feeling now, it was clear that both families don't want to encounter another scandal after all. So it was best to proceed with the wedding as planned.
All of these things were just Han Jun's thought. Other people like Han Jie who don't know the internal details could just continue being upset and felt wronged.
"Are we really going back home?" Han Jie asked sadly. She really don't want to go back and leave her sister again.
Han Feng looked at her daughter knowingly. "You don't want to leave to stay with your sister or to have fun?" He asked sarcastically.
"Of course to stay with her! Father, how could you let them leave together, before the wedding? Aren't you conservative? What if other people knew about this? Isn't this another scandal?" She asked.
Han Feng frowned, "Shut up. We are the only people who knew about this. If this news got out, I will blame you."
"Why me?" Han Jie asked as she stomped her feet like a child. "You… Are you really just giving up your daughter for money?" She accused, her eyes glistering with unshed tears.
Before Han Jie thought that her father loved her sister more. That was the reason as well why she decided to leave before because she knew that everything would be alright at home.
Everything would be fine and that everyone's life would just continue as it they usually do.
Yet, who knows what happened after she left? Her sister left home and had a bread in the over, being cooked. Not only that. Once the bread was cooked, someone else would not take ownership.
Isn't that messed up?
Why was it that her father could not do anything about it?
Was he that incompetent? He would sacrifice his daughter to save his company instead of working hard to revive it?
Han Jie don't understand!
She did not managed to finish studying business in college. But this situation was not business related supposed to be.
It was supposed to be family related. Common sense, feeling were supposed to be used.
She wanted to voice out all her complaints. But he could not do so. Han Jie did not have the right to blame people at that time.
Aside from that, Han Feng already stood up from the dining room chair and went back to his room.
Because of this, Han Jie could only give up talking to her father.
But, it did not mean she would give up taking her revenge with Suzuki Kyou.
With that in mind, as soon as she got inside her room, Han Jie pulled out all her drawing material. Then she started creating images that looked almost like Master Shu but completely different vibe…
