Ch-251
"I thought we could be friends since you were Andrus's friend. But it's clear now we couldn't! Please leave! Before the media catches this thing and says that I am cuckolding Andrus!" Chasina said.
Chasina felt she was stupid enough to fall in love with him. She wasted her amazing years of the youth as she wept over his 'death'. If she can, she wants to go back to the time and meet Andrus earlier and share her life with him. She doesn't want power, money, or influence. All she wanted was happy that she gets from her husband. At the thought, Andrus a smile formed on her face. She hopes everything goes well and they come out alive.
Henrieth, who was hearing her words, felt like a knife stabbed into his heart. He couldn't help but question himself, 'Have ever really loved her?'
'Yes,' His inner self said.
'Then why did she leave me,' he asked again.
'Because you didn't cherish her. You love yourself more than her,' His inner self.
'But…. still, why did Chasina choose him?' he asked again.
'He knows how to cherish her. He knows how to love her more than himself.' his inner self said to him.
Everything his inner self said was true but why can't he accept it. Because that was the truth. The truth was hard to accept. No matter what…. How big or small karma hits a person hard. If he messes with truth… karma hits us hard using twice the force.
Henrieth knew…. He has no chance to get her back in his life. Once bit twice shy. Chasina was deceived by him and by herself twice now she wanted to have the happiness she deserved.
"Chasina, do we have no chance?" Henrieth asked for one last time which raised the anger of Chasina to new heights.
"Henrieth, What did I do to deserve your betrayal again and again? Huh? Please, can you let me go? When you are dead for the second time, I suffered from PTSD. I didn't even recognize my own family. Even though I was cured in six months there were still after-effects. I suffered for another year with them. What did I do to deserve these things, Henrieth? Even after nearly ten years, you are not leaving me alone. What shall I do to make you stop bothering me? Hmm? Please let me know. I am begging," Chasina said as she lowered her head. After a few minutes, she lifted her head and looked into his eyes.
"Henrieth…. You promised me once, that you will do or give anything I ask, right?" Chasina said.
"I am willing to give now also," Henrieth said as he took a step towards her.
"Then let me have my happiness," Chasina asked.
"What can I do for that?" he asked.
"Don't interfere in my love life or Andrus's love life. Please. He is the one I love. After thinking for many years, after making him wait for many years, I accepted him wholeheartedly. Please don't ruin it," Chasina said.
A lone tear cascaded from Henrieth's eye. He realized he had no chance at all. Henrieth wanted to ask for a chance but he found himself undeserving for that. If only he has cherished her well, took good care of her, and gave the sense of security she deserved then maybe he would be the person she was going to marry.
If he was Andrus and Andrus was Henrieth, then Chasina might have been marrying him.
"Sina…" Henrieth was about to say something but was stopped by Esther.
"It's Chasina or Mrs. Andrus," Chasina said sharply.
"Chasina, If I am the one who is in Andrus shoes, Andrus is in my shoes, will you pick me?" Henrieth asked with his eyes full of hope.
"Henrieth… When will you understand? Love is not a concept of picking and dropping someone. If not you, he is. IF not him, you are. What do you think of me? Huh?" Chasina said in a low voice. She was getting tired of this conversation. He was taking everything in circles and getting to the start. But Chasina forgot sometimes, starting is the ending and ending is the start.
"Chasina… Please tell me, What will you do if we swap our places?" Henrieth asked and almost begged.
"Even if you both change your places, I would still love Andrus," Chasina said, shattering his last hope.
"Henrieth, he is never a replacement but my life. He was the reason I was taking my breath and living happily. As a politician, time was something that he lacked. So... I don't dare to ask him. But he knew….. I needed his time. No matter how busy he is, he gave it to me. Even If there is no Andrus in my life, I will not come to you or choose you," Chasina said to him.
"Chasina….." He called out.
Chasina just wanted to say goodbye to him from her life but didn't expect that would be so hard. As seconds passed she was losing her patience.
"I wish you happiness…" he said after gazing at her for a long time, shocking Chasina. Chasina didn't expect him to say these words, her watery eyes widened in shock as she gazed at him. Her expression revealed to Henrieth that she was shocked.
"Thank you," she managed to squeak out after some time.
"I will take my leave," he said.
"Don't let Andrus know that I met you," he added.
"It doesn't matter. Even if he knew, he wouldn't be angry. At least on me," She said with a smile.
"And yeah…. Don't worry… I won't tell a single thing. If he knew it some way or other, I can't do anything," She added.
And yeah… she would never tell him because she let him listen to their conversation! So… there was no need to tell him! She smiled smugly in her heart at her thoughts. If there was something good from this whole marriage then that was a clean break up with Henrieth. She slumped on her chair as she felt tired from the earlier conversation.
