As Arnav leaned forward, looking at her pink lips, Sofya suddenly stood up, pushing him away. Arnav staggered backwards, holding onto the chair for support.
Sofya glared at him. Her black oval eyes, which usually depicted kindness, was burning. Anger was etched on her face. She clenched her fists. " Is this why you asked me to dinner, Mr. Raizada? "
Arnav looked apologetic. He didn't know what had suddenly happened. Usually, he had ways for women to beg to get in his bed, yet he himself...
" No, I -- "
" Let me tell you something then. I am nothing like your mistresses. I have my own reputation to maintain. You though I would be willing? This just inclines that you need to read those clauses and get them in your head. " She said with disgust. As she said this, she grabbed her handbag and walked to the parlour door.
Looking back, she replied in a monotonous voice " I didn't expect this from you. "
Arnav heard the door shut. He leaned his head in his hands. Why? Why was he having such a hard time distinguishing between the two? Sofya and ' she ' were two different persons. It was uncanny, the resemblance between them, like they were cut from the same cloth.
Get a grip on yourself, Arnav! Or else you will ruin everything.
After paying the bill, he drove back to Thornfield Mansion.
Sofya had hailed a cab. She had hoped the driver wouldn't recognize her, but that was not the case. The driver was too excited to see her. As they arrived at Emerald green Villa, he even refused to take the fare, only wanting an autograph and a picture. Sofya smiled and complied.
As she lay on the bed after bathing, she reminisced what had happened. Gritting her teeth, she was relieved that the next time she would see him would be after one month.
Alas, but the next morning proved how wrong she was.
Sofya felt as though she had barely fallen asleep when she was rudely awakened by Susan.
" Sis, wake up! You have made the headlines again! "
Susan exclaimed energetically. She was in her pyjamas.
" Nothing new. " Sofya yawned, rubbing her eyes. She glanced at the clock, it was 6 am. " Now let me sleep some more. "
" But it's with bro-in-law! " Susan shouted excitedly.
" W-h-a-t? " Sofya opened her eyes automatically and sat up on the bed. She grabbed the phone that Susan was brandishing at her.
It was an online article headlined ' Sofya Khemka and Arnav Singh Raizada - Dating or Pleasure? '
Beneath the headlines, there was a pic of them together. Sofya immediately recognized the picture. It was taken at Grill & Curry, where they had dined together last night. Moreover, the photo was taken at the moment when Arnav had tried to kiss Sofya. If seen from an outsider's point of view, it would appear to be a romantic dinner.
But who took the photo? They had reserved a private parlour and there was nobody there, except them. Arnav, of course wouldn't do this. He was as skeptical as she was.
