Chapter 543

Name:Never Judge Author:
Cedric paled in shock when he heard Benedict's words, he didn't put it beneath Aiden to mercilessly kill and torture the people that tormented him in his youth. But to kill innocent women and children, it was just too much.

"It's okay, you can judge me." Benedict said as he looked at Cedric. "I was horrible for not stopping him."

"You didn't know better, you changed." Cedric said with a sympathetic look in his eyes.

"I -" Benedict began to say when Ray suddenly jerked his head up, catching everyone's attention.

They all immediately knew something had happened.

"He has been spotted." Ray announced as he listened to what his subordinates were reporting to him. "According to my men it seems like he will at least be staying there for another few days."

"We need to speak to the nuns that run that convent." Cedric told Ray.

"I've already arranged a meeting between you and the mother superior." Ian announced as he arrived."She will meet you at Saint Anthony's Church later this afternoon."

"Saint Anthony's isn't that the Church in the old part of the capital?" Aleix asked. "Saint Paul's convent is in the province, why would she meet with Cedric there? And can she make it on time?"

"The mother superior had a meeting with the archbishop to ask for guidance, she will meet with Cedric before she travels to return to the convent." Ian informed them.

"I'll meet with her." Cedric said with a nod. As he got up and prepared his things.

"In the meantime, I want our men to start moving in on that province." Cedric instructed. "I'll ask Dave to help you contact the Lobos, they are the dominant political family there, they should be able to help, no they will help. This is Jam's killer we are talking about."

Ray and Alexi nodded, knowing this would be their contribution to the plan.

"I'll prep my team, I'm sure there will be injuries." Miguel said, leaving ahead of Cedric.

"I'll help you." Eric said, following his brother out.

"Don't worry, I know. Media blackout." Ram said with a laugh. He knew all of them had a role to play in this, and he honestly felt good that he could contribute to their plans. He was often left out since he didn't have his own personal army.

Cedric nodded and thanked Ram.

"I'll go with you to meet the mother superior." Benedict volunteered. "If it is who I think it is, we might have a hard time convincing her."

Cedric gave Benedict a confused look, making Benedict laugh.

"I'll explain on the way." Benedict said with a shrug as they walked out of the office.

Cedric's driver opened the door to his car for him. Cedric was taking a less lavish car out this time, his goal was not to be seen. He was aware that Aiden may still have spies lurking around, watching his every move. It was better to be safe than sorry.

Inside the car, he quickly made a few calls, instructing Dave to help his friends and to contact the Lobo family for their help.

"Care to tell me what this business with the nun is all about?" Cedric asked Benedict as he dropped the call with Dave.

"I have a feeling that the current mother superior of Saint Paul's convent is a Mother Emilia. She and Aiden have a history." Benedict said with a shrug.

"Aren't nuns supposed to be chaste and all that?" Cedric asked as he struggled to stop himself from laughing.

"I said history, I didn't say they had sex or anything.;' Benedict said, laughing at Cedric. "Emilia loved Aiden a long time ago. When Aiden broke her heart she left our province. It wasn't till years later that we found out that she entered the convent."

"She must be over him by now." Cedric said, shaking his head.

"She might be, but you can't help it if there are still remnants there. Plus even after he broke her heart she saw him as a good friend." Benedict said with a sigh as they spotted the Church in the distance. "Just let me try to convince her first."

"Alright." Cedric said with a nod.

When they arrived at the Church, Cedric's men had already cleared out the area. They found a sole nun sitting on the pews seemingly in prayer.

"Mother superior." Cedric greeted as he sat down on the same pew, keeping his distance from the woman.

"Please, call me Emilia." the mother superior said.

Cedric nodded in acknowledgement.

"Your man said I am harboring a criminal in my convent." Emilia said as she glanced at Cedric. "I have a lot of homeless people staying in my convent. We shelter those that are the least and the lost."

"Sister Emilia, this man, he, I don't know how to say it." Cedric said with a sigh.

"He has done many bad things? He had hurt? He has broken?" Sister Emilia asked.

"It is my brother, Emilia." Benedict said, suddenly appearing beside Cedric.

"Benedict?" Emilia asked as she stared at Benedict in shock. "Aiden said you died. How is this possible?" Sister Emilia asked as she looked at Benedict as if he was a ghost.

"Emilia, did my brother tell you how he thought I died?" Benedict asked the woman.

"He said you were sick." Sister Emilia said, shaking her head. "He was broken, he had already lost two siblings. We nursed him back to health."

"Emilia, I need you to listen to me." Benedict said as he looked the nun in the eyes. "My brother had become a bad man since we left our province. He isn't the Aiden you once knew."

"Benedict, it's not proper to speak ill of your brother." Sister Emilia said in a calm tone.

"I'm not, I'm just telling you the truth." Benedict said, shaking his head. "Emilia, my brother is a murderer and he does not regret it."

"Benedict!" Sister Emilia scolded.

"He thought I died when he attacked Cedric. After my brother murdered Cedric's mother. Emilia, my brother almost caused my death." Benedict said in a desperate tone.

Cedric watched as a look of horror crept on the nun's face.

"You lie." Sister Emilia said as she stood up and walked away.
