Chapter 544

Name:Never Judge Author:
Cedric watched as Benedict chased after Sister Emilia, he followed at a distance behind the pair as they stopped at the side of the Church.

"Emila." Benedict called out as he reached out, grabbing her wrist. "Emilia, please. Aiden isn't the Aiden you used to know. We have been through so much and he has changed."

"He told me Benedict." Emilia said as her shoulders dropped in surrender. "He warned me that a man by the name of Cedric might approach me. He told me not to believe Cedric because it was his family that killed your sister Camilla."

"Emilia, my sister is still alive." Benedict said, begging her to listen. "Camilla didn't die. She was saved from suffering the same fate as my brother and I."

"Benedict, I don't know." Sister Emilia said, shaking her head.

"Emilia, if I bring you to my sister, if you meet her, if she tells you what Aiden has done to her and to Cedric, will you believe me?" Benedict asked.

"Fine." Sister Emilia said in surrender.

Benedict smiled as he pulled her towards Cedric.

"Cedric, would it be fine is Sister Emilia met Camilla?" Benedict asked Cedric, as if he was a a child asking his father for permission.

"Benedict, as long your sister is willing to meet with her, it should be fine." Cedric said with a nod. "None of you need my permission. You are all grown ups." Cedric said with a grin.

"I'll give my sister a call." Benedict said as he excitedly took out his phone to give Camilla a call.

"Is she really his sister?" Sister Emilia asked Cedric as they watched Benedict chat lively on the phone.

"Yes." Cedric said with a nod. "I can't tell you the details, but she suffered a lot in the past, before my father and uncles found her. It's a miracle in itself for them to be reunited."

"Camilla said yes." Benedict said excitedly as he returned to them.

"Why don't we meet her at my home? It could afford you the privacy you guys need as well as the security." Cedric said with a shrug.

"Alright." Benedict said, nodding in agreement.

Cedric led them to his car and they all piled in. It was quite tight, Ian sat in the front seat, while Cedric, Benedict, and Sister Emilia sat in the back.

"Cedric, did Aiden really kill your mother?" Sister Emilia asked in a hesitant tone.

Cedric looked at her with a sad smile and nodded. "He didn't pull the trigger, but her death was ordered by him. He also had my wife's friend and cousin killed."

"I didn't think Aiden would turn out this way." Sister Emilia said, shaking her head. "When he showed up with his companions at my convent's doorsteps weeks ago, he was injured. He had lost a lot of blood and we couldn't save his hand, it had to be amputated."

"That was my fault." Benedict confessed with a frown. "It was either I shot him or he killed our sister."

"I don't blame you Benedict." Sister Emilia said with a sad smile. "I helped Aiden because it's my duty to help those that are injured, those that are lost. I've known you for years and you've never changed, but when I saw Aiden, he seemed different."

"So you aren't protecting him?" Benedict asked, his eyes shined with the hope he was feeling that Sister Emilia would help them.

"Of course not." Sister Emilia said, shaking her head. "If I planned on protecting him I would have never met up with Cedric. I might live in a convent, but I don't live under a rock. I know full well who the CEO of the Reyes Group is." Sister Emilia said, teasing Benedict and Cedric.

"Thank you for hearing us out." Cedric said, nodding at her.

"I know you aren't a bad person, I've seen how much you help those that have less than you." Sister Emilia said, parising Cedric. "Aiden simply assumed that I knew nothing of the outside world, so he thought he could use me and my convent. He thought he could manipulate me because in his mind I am still naive and innocent."

"You are a strong woman Sister Emilia." Cedric said as he looked at the nun. "I am sure it takes a strong woman of God to lead your fellow nuns."

"Thank you." Sister Emilia said with a nod as they drove into the Mountain View community.

When they finally arrived at Cedric's mansion the nun didn't seem impressed or bothered by the wealth of the place, which puzzled Cedric.

As they walked in, Adrianna greeted the nun, pulling her into a hug.

"You know the Mother Superior?" Cedric asked his wife.

"Of course." Adrianna said with a laugh, the nun laughed along with his wife, making Cedric eye them suspiciously.

"You are two incredibly smart men and yet you weren't able to piece the puzzle together." Sister Emilia teased Cedric and Benedict.

The two men just looked at each other, visibly confused by the nun's words.

"Cedric, did you not check what Emilia's full name was?" Adrianna asked. Normally her husband would read a whole dossie on a person before meeting them. It seemed that this time Cedric had deviated from that practice.

"Ian, why didn't you give me the file on the good nun?" Cedric asked, calling for his former assistant and friend.

"You never asked for it." Ian said with a shrug. "I read through it and confirmed that she would not harm you or your wife."

"Tell me Adrianna." Cedric said in an angry tone.

"Nope, check the file." Adrianna insisted with a giggle.

"What the fu-" Cedric said, catching himself mid curse. "My apologies, Mother Superior." Cedric said to the nun, who simply smiled at him.

"Ian, get that file!" Cedric called out.

Ian immediately went into Cedric's office to retrieve the file. It was in a sealed brown envelope when Ian handed it to Cedric.

Cedric ripped the seal and took out the documents inside and read through it.

"I am an idiot." Cedric said as he read the document.

"That you are." Adrianna teased him.

"I would never protect my cousin's murderer." Sister Emilia said with an angry look in her eyes.

"Her middle name is Lobo." Benedict said, laughing at his own stupidity.
