Chapter 786

"Let's go live to the airport as two very important business men from China have suddenly landed." A female news anchor said as the shot shifted from the studio to an image of two private planes parked on the tarmac.

"We are here at the international airport as two very wealthy and very important businessmen from China have, without warning, arrived in the country." A male news reporter said as he gestured towards the planes behind him.

"Ten minutes ago Guan Ming, China's fastest growing billionaire, and Wu Jun, the fourth generation CEO of one of China's oldest companies, both landed at the international airport." The reporter said as shots of the two planes were shown on screen.

"Both men are known to rarely leave their own country, with Guan Ming being a very private individual, while Wu Jun is practically a celebrity." The reporter explained.

"Do we know why they are here?" The female anchor asked as the screen split into two, the studio at the left and the airport at the right.

"We have no confirmation yet." The reporter told the anchor. "But, from what we know, Mr. Guan Ming's company Ming Enterprises, is one of the largest and fastest growing app and software development companies in the world. It is possible that he is here to partner with Mor Co."

"Has there been any statement from the Reyes Group?" The anchor asked.

"No, the Reyes Group has been surprisingly quiet on the matter." The anchor said as he shook his head. "As you will recall, the Reyes Group and it's CEO has been at the center of a legal battle with the Baron family who have recently been sentenced. It is possible that their attention is focused elsewhere."

"Well, I don't think it would be too shocking to find out that a partnership was brewing between two giants." The anchor added with a nod. "It won't be the first time that the Reyes Group has launched a big partnership out of the blue."

"That's right, if they will be partnering with Ming Enterprises, then this will be the largest news in the industry since Mor Co. was revealed to be a part of the Reyes Group." The reporter confirmed.

"Well for our viewers that don't know, Ming Enterprises are that big a deal in the tech industry." The anchor explained. "If Mor Co. and Ming Enterprises were to team up, they could take the international market by storm."

"Yes, and if they do partner up, this will be the first international partnership that Mr. Guan Ming has ever entered. He is very nationalistic and wanted to grow his company in China first before exploring the international market." The reporter explained.

"Well, that's a piece of news we know the international business community is looking at." The news anchor said with a nod.

"Right, we are sure there will be many questions in the coming days and months. This trip was quite abrupt since just a few days ago the news broke out that he was dating actress and model Wei Lan Ling. Then all of a sudden he is here for no obvious reason." The reporter said with a confused look on his face.

"What if he was just visiting for a vacation? I heard that he was quite curious about Kashmere, the local resort owned by Mr. Raymund Laurence." The anchor suggested.

"I highly doubt that." The reporter said as he shook his head. "For those of you that don't know, Kashmere Island is the playground of the rich and famous. I'm not talking about local businessmen and celebrities, we are talking about Hollywood level A-listers."

"Kashmere island has its own airport, so there is no reason for any international guest to pass through the capital before heading to Kashmere if they are only on vacation." The reporter added.

"Well, I guess we'll just need to wait till he makes a formal announcement on why he is here." The anchor said. "How about Wu Jun? What do we know about this man."

"So the Wu family of Shanghai owns Golden Fleece Inc., it is one of the largest and oldest companies in China. They have businesses across all industries and Wu Jun is their current CEO." The reporter explained. 

"What reason could he possibly have for being in the capital as well?" The anchor asked. 

"Now this one is clearer." The reporter explained. "Wu Jun went to the same university as Lucius Ting of Arch Group. They are known associates and have done business in the past. It is highly likely that he is here to collaborate with Lucius Ting once more."

"Wow, I guess the local tech wars are really getting heated." The anchor commented.

"That it is, if the big guns are coming in then we can expect that both the Reyes Group and Arch Group will be giving this war their all." The reporter said with a nod.

"Thank you for that, we will be back after this break as we wait for business tycoons Guan Ming and Wu Jun to step out of their planes and hopefully give us an explanation for their visit." As the female anchor said that, the screen changed to a series of commercials, making Dave switch the TV off.

"We know that Wu Jun is here for us." Emilio Reyes said as he thought long and hard about the current situation. "So why is Guan Ming here?"

"Cedric, a word?" Ian said as he gestured towards the side.

"Ian, you know that anything you can tell me, you can tell anyone in this room." Cedric reminded his assistant.

"It's not my secret to tell, but I think you should be made aware." Ian said with a serious expression. 

"Very well." Cedric said with a nod as he and Ian went to the hidden room behind his desk.

"What is it?" Cedric asked Ian as he closed the door behind him. "What can't you tell me in front of my sister, my father, and the other assistants?"

"It's about Guan Ming, he's here for Camilla." Ian said, catching Cedric by surprise.
