"Camilla!" Lucius Ting waved as Camilla arrived at the restaurant he had reserved for their lunch date.
Camilla tried to give him her sweetest smile as she walked over to join him.
"Do you really need to watch the news?" Camilla complained as she walked over to Lucius.
One of Lucuis' assistants pulled out a seat for her which she took without thanking the assistant. She learned early on that to get Lucius' favor, she couldn't seem weak, meaning she shouldn't be kind to any of his employees.
To Lucius Ting, they were merely people that were to be used, after they had served their purpose they could be disposed of.
".. .first international partnership that Mr. Guan Ming has ever entered. He is very nationalistic and wanted to grow his company in China first before exploring the international market." Camilla heard the reporter on the TV say.
At the mention of Guan Ming she froze and turned her attention to the TV.
"What's going on?" Camilla asked Lucius.
"The business tycoon Guan Ming is in the country." Lucius informed her.
"Why?" Camilla asked.
"So he doesn't have a partnership lined up with the Reyes Group then?" Lucius asked as the side of his lips curled up to a smile.
"No, none that I know of." Camilla said as she shook her head.
"Then he is here for me then." Lucius said proudly.
".. .his trip was quite abrupt since just a few days ago the news broke out that he was dating actress and model Wei Lan Ling. Then all of a sudden he is here for no obvious reason." Camilla felt her heart break as the reporter mentioned that Guan Ming was now dating someone.
"Is something wrong?" Lucius asked as he lifted Camilla's chin and made her look him in the eyes. "I can make that sad feeling go away." As he said this he lowered his head and captured Camilla's lips in his.
At first it was chaste and innocent, but after a few seconds Camilla felt as he pushed her to part her lips and give his tongue entry. Camilla was not in the mood to do anything, but she quickly remembered her mission and forced herself to kiss Lucius back.
Every time they kissed, Camilla felt the urge to throw up. This man disgusted her, she was so tempted to slap him in the face for kissing her without her permission.
After what seemed to be an intense makeout session, Camilla' and Lucius' lips parted.
Lucius looked at Camilla with a loving gaze, making Camilla want to throw up even more.
She always reminded herself that this was only temporary and it was just a kiss. Lucius had bought her excuse that she was saving herself for marriage that's why they never had sex.
"So why do you think Guan Ming is here for you?" Camilla asked as she drank a glass of water, desperate to wash the taste of Lucius' kiss from her lips.
"Two months ago, Ming Enterprises accepted proposals from all over the world on which companies would be interested in partnering up with them." Lucius explained. "Naturally I had applied."
"And what makes you think that Cedric didn't apply behind my back?" Camilla aksed.
"Because he was not invited." Lucius told her with a cocky grin. "Mr. Guan is a very nationalistic man, and he only invited those of Chinese decent."
Camilla nodded as she listened intently to Lucius' explanation. He was right, the Reyes Group had not been invited to apply for that partnership, and she doubted Ian would have forgotten to tell her if they were.
Ian knew who Guan Ming was to Camilla, he wouldn't let the opportunity pass.
"Mr. Guan is probably here to sign a deal with me and check on my offices and on my company's capability to meet his standards." Lucius told Camilla. "From what I've heard he demands quite a lot from the companies he partners with."
"But why suddenly fly here and not tell you?" Camilla asked in a frustrated tone. "That's quite rude."
"Camilla!" Lucius scolded. "This is Guan Ming we are talking about, he is one of the richest men in the world! He can do whatever the fuck he wants."
"I'm sorry." Camilla squealed as she realised she had let her emotions control her.
"You better not speak so badly of him when we have dinner. I don't want you embarrassing me." Lucius Ting warned her.
"It won't happen again, I promise." Camilla said with a frown as she looked back at the TV as the words flash report appeared on the screen.
"We are live at the airport as a representative of Mr. Guan Ming has announced that he has a statement to make." The reporter said. "There is still no news on Mr. Wu Jun as he had quickly disembarked his plane and left the airport."
"There, listen." Lucius said as he nudged Camilla.
"I am, babe." Camilla said as she took his hand and intertwined their fingers. She was trying to be proactive so that Lucius wouldn't doubt her fake feelings for him.
"Good Morning." A balding Chinese man said as he stepped onto the platform.
Camilla could see as the cameras of the journalists went off with a flash, she was glad not to be in that man's position.
"I am the Vice President for International Affairs of Ming Enterprises. I know that many of you are curious about our sudden arrival, my boss, the President, CEO, and founder of Ming Enterprises has an announcement to make." The man said, making Camilla lean forward in her seat.
"Sir?" The man asked as he glanced behind him.
Camilla could see as the top of Guan Ming's head started to show, he had the same black hair and piercing eyes as when they first met. The difference was that this Guan Ming had a serious and stern look on his face, while the Guan Ming she knew was happy and jolly all the time.
Guan Ming took the mic from his Vice President as he eyed the crowd.
He stood tall and proud as he brought the microphone closer to his lips.
"We are here to begin our partnership with Arch Group under Mr. Lucius Ting, that is all." At that Guan Ming handed the microphone back to his Vice President as he and his team quickly made their way out of the tarmac.
"Yes!" Camilla heard Lucius celebrate next to her.
Camilla had turned pale, how were they going to fight Arch Group now that they had someone like Guan Ming in their corner?
