The demon king knows that Ajax had to go through the trial to claim the ownerless dimensional crevice. So, he asked Delgoth to wait for Ajax.

When he heard about Ajax, Delgoth became even angrier than the demon king himself because Ajax was the first person in his life to put him in so much pain and he felt humiliated.

So, he wanted to take revenge on Ajax for what he did.

"Good. Since the brat is already entered the dimensional crevice now, no one will enter it until he finishes the trial. So, I am taking my leave now," The demon king gave his final set of instructions to Delgoth and walked away from there.

'Also, I can't stay much longer in the human world because of my strength and this body would not last for much longer,'

Since the demon king was not in his true body, he could not stay much longer in the human world.

"Just you wait, brat, before you come out of the dimensional crevice, I will absorb as much as demonic essence from the demonic scroll and then show you what the true pain is,"

After the demon king left that place, the newly transformed main demon general said cross-legged on the same place he stood until now and silently swore to himself about taking revenge on the Ajax.
