As soon as Vy smelled the salt water of the ocean, she knew they were close. By the afternoon of the third day since the werebear's attack, they arrived at Grey Coast. The sandy beach stretched out across the shoreline, cutting off at the edge of the cliffs on the side.

"We made it!" Lycster exclaimed with joy as he ran onto the open beach towards the sea.

This was the first time he had seen an endless body of water. For Vy, it was her first time seeing it in Gaeia. Something told her she had seen plenty of beaches before.

"I guess this is where we part ways, Miss Blackfire," Alpha Darric announced.

Vy turned back to him, confused, "What are you talking about?"

Caught off guard, Darric replied, "You've reached your destination, this is Grey Coast. The body of water before you is the Triking Sea and Trilantis is in it. We will take our leave…"

Before Darric could finish his sentence, Vy wanted to cut in. But as she was about to, the waves were receding. That caught all of their attention as they looked out into the seawater. The water formed into an oval, big enough to serve as an entrance and glowed with white light.

From this water gate, three beings walked out. Two of them were dressed in armour seemingly made out of scales, while the third being looked vaguely human. The third being had fins on the back of it's lower arm and translucent scales on some parts of her body.

Her hair was blue ombre, with the ends of her hair ending in a dark shade of blue. In her hand was a spear that looked like it was made out of glass.

"Greetings, Porter. My name is Laena. We're here to take you to Trilantis." the woman with the blue ombre hair spoke.

Vy shook her head, "I need more time on the beach. Would it be alright if I came with you tomorrow morning instead?"

Laena did not think much about Vy's request. After all, she and her companions looked as if they had had a long journey.

"Of course, we will return tomorrow morning, at the third hour after sunrise,"

With the guards, she had brought, Laena returned through the water gate. The glowing in the water faded away and the tide returned to normal. Darric grabbed hold of Vy's arm, confused as to why she had done that.

"What was all that about?"

"The wounds of your pack and you are not even begun to heal yet, We can't just leave you here like this."

Certainly a fate worse than werebears.

Vy glanced over to see Darric's bandaged wound on his ribs. She could see the blood seeping through the bandages. The injury he had sustained was not healing properly.

That night, Vy took out the rose quartz bed from her spatial storage and prepped it for Darric. Out of all the werewolves, his injuries were the most severe. When the werewolves saw the pink geode bed she had brought out, they were intrigued by it.

None of them had ever seen such a large piece of geode before, let alone one that had been carved into shape. As she helped Darric onto it, she explained the healing properties it had.

"It helped me to recover from the injuries I sustained on my back, so it will help with yours too." she reassured him.

"Your injuries? On your back?"

Although Alpha Darric had not looked at Vyrena much, he assumed that he would have noticed the scars on her back during their sparring session. But from what he recalled, he did not remember seeing any scarring.

"Yeah, sis got injured by some moles while we were travelling through the Bleak Lands," Lycster recounted.

Bertuf laughed, "Your sister got injured by some moles?"

Aether hissed at Beta werewolf.

-They weren't regular run of the mill moles, you mutt. Each of them was the size of a werebear or larger with claws that could break through rocks.-

Angered by Bertuf's nonchalant attitude, Lycster backed Aether up, "Yeah! If you were there, you would not have been able to beat them anyway."

Bertuf immediately kept his mouth shut. He wanted to pick a fight with the damn winged serpent but Darric signalled him to stand down. Vy grinned as she heard how Aether and her brother defended her.

"That sounded like quite the fight," Darric commented.

"That was not the only fight," Vy sighed as she thought back to all the encounters they've had since starting this journey.

From their time in the Papillion Kingdom, to their journey through the Bleak Lands, Rihi Desert and Shroud Forest. Trouble seemed to follow everywhere she went. Not to mention, all the things that happened before they even began this journey.

Darric sensed the heavy emotions tied to Vy's remark. How much could she have gone through in the time he had first seen her in the forest till the time they met again in the Shrouds Forest? Thinking back to his own journey, it had not been an easy one either.

But he was certain that it was not as difficult as the one Vy and her brother had been on.

Not wanting to offend her in any way, he told her, "You don't have to share anything you don't want to."

Vy shook her head, "It's just been a really really long journey. What we probably need is a break. We can always share stories another time."

Darric nodded and laid down on the rose quartz bed. Nighttime was setting in as a crescent moon hung amidst the star-covered sky.

"We can always exchange stories some other time," he echoed her words.
