Chapter 94 - I Don't Date!!!

As soon as the morning broke in the Imperial city, painting the skies in the brightest shades of yellow, Han Ze Min left his penthouse in the Skyline condominium, getting all ready for their trip to Gui Xiang. 

Even though he couldn't fall asleep last night, he seemed to be in high spirits as he got inside the elevator, dialling Ming Yue's number.

All night, he was thinking about her, to be honest, he was worried about her staying alone with Wan Yi Jun. 

No matter how many times she had refused their relationship, Han Ze Min couldn't ease his mind as he felt that there might be something fishy going around in that house.

The way she talks, more precisely, she argues and fights.  It wouldn't be 

"Oh, Hi, good morning, Lanlan." 

"It seems like you are not having a good morning today,"

"Why didn't you tell your family that you are not interested in the engagement?"

"I did tell them...My mother even started to look other proposals for me. I thought my family did tell your dad. He didn't?"

"You could've told your father that you like Wan Yi Jun. But you didn't. I know that you love your father, but it is your life. Everyone knows that you love my cousin, including your father.

So you should talk to him and figure out things."

"I know him more than anyone else. Though he acts like a  lone wolf, he actually is a homeboy who cares a lot about family and feelings. He hesitates because of your father."

"I don't know what went wrong with him and your father, but somehow your father hates him.

"Yi Jun did tell me that my father...dislikes him."

"See, Lanlan. You are the only person who could solve this issue between your boyfriend and your father.  As long as that conflict lasts, you will have no luck on becoming the Wan family's daughter in law.

"Also aunt Sienna is coming home, and I and my grandma has been forcing her to visit your father. 

So it's better that you take charge and hurry things.

"Something might have happened to the perpetrator's family…or to someone he loved and cherished more than anything else in this world…. That's his reason." 

Though Wan Yi Jun spoke as if he was talking about the perpetrator of the murder, nobody knew that whatever he said was meant to Han Ze Min, too. 

Just like Shu Li Li's case, Han Ze Min's motive to kill his cousin would be personal vengeance- to avenge the death of his first love. 

If it wasn't for their family, he would have killed Wan Yi Jun long ago,

"You mean the perpetrator murdered Shu Lili and created havoc in the imperial city, just because he lost someone he loved?" Lao Yating added in a doubtful voice. As he thought more about it, his face got crooked as if heard something weird and looked around to check whether everyone think the same.

"Well. For some people, family is all it matters, and they will do anything...even if it is a murder." Ming Yue added so casually, without even a slight change in her face, 

"I would do the same if I ever meet those people who destroyed my family..." Her sharp eyes narrowed on the mere thought avenging her parent's death,

"But there is a judicial system in this country, there is a law and order system...If everyone decides to take the weapon and avenge their loss," Lao Yating argued to the woman, who sounded as if she was in support of violence.

"What if you lost his trust in the judiciary and the so-called law and order system? Someone who had no other option, no one to help him bring the justice his family deserves, you cannot simply blame him if you have a heart."  Ming Yue didn't hold back as she ran her mouth to present her side like an experienced lawyer, without even caring about others' reactions to her.

"You can't just talk like that, miss Ming. From a humane and civilized perspective-" Lao Yating, who got charged by Ming Yue's words, was about to light up another heated debate when Bing Wen meddled in between and tried to stop them,

"Guys, guys...stop...We are not discussing justice and injustice. We are looking for a culprit." He tried to hammer down some senses two hot-headed individuals who stared at each other like two bulls, ready to fight.

"Yes, we need to find the culprit before we start talking about justice and injustice," Holding, Lao Yating's shoulder, Fei Yan also tried to ease the heated air in the room.

"These are mere guesses." Han Ze Min spoke as if he was the mediator of the debate and 

"We still don't have any evidence to prove our nearly hysterical hypothesis are actually true."

"Let's go there...the basement where Hu Geng Xin lived and Gui Xiang."

"Really? We are going all the way to Gui Xiang?"

"Aren't you the one who said that we lacked evidence?"

"Keep your bags packed, I will get the permission."

"If everything is settled then, is it okay if I serve the dinner?"
