Next day early in the morning.
"Yawn!" Edam leisurely yawned as he got up from his bed.
Today was an off day and he wasn't punished, (thank God) so he had all the time in the world to get up, take his breakfast, brush his teeth, dress up, etc… all that with a tired and somewhat bored face.
It was only when he was taking his breakfast that his face would lit up and be lively as he thought about what his grandfather told him yesterday.
It was indeed a shock to learn that you are an alien you know, even though he couldn't care less. He lived his entire life as a human so why wouldn't he continued to live as such…?
However, the idea of exploring what was beyond this world was indeed attractive to him. One of the reasons was to explore it of course while the other reason was to measure himself against his so called own race, he wondered about how strong those Saiyans could be and where he does he stands in this vast expanse.
Plus, yesterday night he had a strange dream too, he saw himself exploring an infinite space with gigantic suns shining in every direction, with planets with different kinds of humanoids races that could fight with him. Unfortunately, everything was blurred.
Anyway, to start his day, he was at first going to have a daily physical training when he however felt his body's temperature slowly but abruptly rise, making him frown in displeasure and slight pain.
He, of course, knew what was the cause of this pain.
Recently, his Ki quantity would for some unknown reasons rise with incredible momentum, so much that two choices were offered to him. One was to raise his physical prowess to contain it or the other choice was to suppress it as soon as possible or he would have to "relieve" himself by discharging this insane amount of energy outside.
Not a sight that people would want to witness, clearly not.
And so, as soon as he felt this, he was gone back to his bed sitting crossed-legs to meditate for an hour or so before ending it.
As he opened his eyes, a white little bird with a bag hanging on its ċhėst was standing in front of him looking at him curiously as if waiting for him to notice it.
"Oh, hey there, what's up little white." At that, he stretched his hand out as the birds hop on it and he ċȧrėssed it for a moment.
"Hmm, let's see…" He then took out a small letter from it and began to read it.
"Ah, I almost forgot it, idiot, me…" Edam taps his head.
The letter was actually written by elder Nyon, Hancock, Sandersonia, and Mariegold's adoptive mother, in which she explained that he had to come back as promised by him.
"But, what am I even gonna do there?" He held his chin and pondered about it.
"Meh, let's see after going there…" With that, he got up and walked to the courtyard training field.
Arriving there, he stretched his right hand and with a grabbing motion, the air around his hand began to twist and distort, as a black sword came out of the void to rest in his hand.
It was his Space Sword given by his doctor as a birthday gift.
And as the name implied, it held some control over the power of Space enabling its user to control Space as much as he wants and as much as his abilities allowed him to.
After establishing a connection with it, he had already discovered some of its abilities being to slash open spatial rifts to store anything he wants in.
Moreover, he could also place some spatial marks wherever he wants to directly travel through a gate to reach his intended spatial mark.
The young man held the sword high in the air and closed his eyes for a moment as he focused his mind on a distanced feeling.
After two minutes or so, he slowly opened his eyes and directly slashed the air as a gash appeared right in front of him. That was a spatial rift right there.
The inside of the gash was dark with some wisp of lights flying from time to time. It was just like a tunnel, with at the end of it a small and consistent light.
Without saying anything, he took a first step inside but was quickly held back by a familiar voice.
"Hey, where are you going? And what's that?"
Turning around, Edam saw Zaz and asked.
"Am just gonna visit someone..."
"What? You are going to visit someone?" Zaz wore a disbelieving expression. "I mean you?"
"..." Eden had a deadpan expression as he replied annoyed. "Yeah me, so what do you want, it's a day off today..."
Zaz shook his head as he exclaimed. "This is not important any longer, tell me, where are you-..." He didn't even finish his sentence as realization struck him and he gave Edam a knowing expression and patted his shoulder.
"I see, I see, hehe…" His expression was strange and unusual giving Edam a sudden urge to punch his face.
"Is that so then see ya..." Saying that he turned to step in the gate again.
"Ah! Wait wait wait, you should pick a flower as a gift or something, trust me, girls like those things, this is a trick I learned with those two tigresses…" In the end, he even sighed, remembering the past.
"...Okay then, see ya…" He waved his hand and entered the rift as it slowly closed behind him.
...
Meanwhile, on another island and precisely on Amazon lily.
At the border of the island, a spatial gate opened up as a figure quietly stepped out of it.
"Phew…" It was the first time he tried long-distance space traveling. Till now he had only made some short-distance travel to test things out and everything has gone well at the time.
With this careless thought, he began to walk around, exploring the forest with a curious face.
"I wonder what kind of fruits they eat here?"
He then saw various fruits and vegetables, with some weird looking mushrooms that he recognized. For example, there were those mushrooms which could make you laugh, cry, be angry, etc… and there were also some that he didn't know off, and that he wouldn't try too.
Anyway, only a starving man would eat those things…
He walked for about an hour or so but only he knew that he was delaying this impending meeting.
When he received the letter, he was happy at the time but the moment he got a foot on here, a lot of doubts began to surge in his mind.
Like, how different the two of them were. She was a normal human while he was not… She was a captain pirate, and him a marine captain.
He couldn't care less about the latter reason but the former made him worry a bit.
The latter could be solved with strength but the former reason couldn't be solved with force. No matter how much stronger he would grow, it won't ever change the fact that he was not human.
He decided to cast those doubts aside with a shake of his head as his body started to float in the air slowly going up.
He reached a high altitude and he could already see a sort of mountain wall and as he flew up over said mountain wall, he saw the immense city in said mountain. With his eyesight, it was easy for him to oversee the city even without using his Ki spiritual perception or his Observation Haki. Looking with his own eyes was much more pleasing to the eyes.
He also saw a reclusive house in the distance and even recognized it as he was gone there last time to treat Hancock. It was of course Elder Nyon's house.
And as his eyes swept over the city, he could not help but feel awkward. There weren't any men on this island but just women.
And of course, he had already noticed the huge castle and was surely Hancock's resting place. He somewhat knew that she was in there, he could feel it, without using Haki or Ki but just a feeling deep in his ċhėst told him that she was a few minutes away from him.
But the thing is, he didn't know how to present himself to her.
From the information, he was given this tribe was exceptionally repulsive of men and would even kill should they discover one on their island.
They were also a somewhat fighting race too, and he could see a huge arena in the city.
Then, an idea popped out of nowhere in his mind.
From far away already, he could hear the screams and cheers of all the women present there as people fought in the said arena.
The fight was fierce but a winner eventually emerged.
Amidst the cheers and clap of hands, his figure silently appeared in the arena.
...
"Eh? Who's this girl?"
"Strange, I never saw her…"
"Her figure is so weird, where are her bȯȯbs?"
"Who know… Where do you find those clothes?"
...
"Ahem, ladies and… ladies, You're surely asking yourself who and what am I doing here right, well I'm here today to challenge every one of you brave warriors! Come and try to defeat me!" Even though he didn't seem to shout, his voice would still mysteriously and successfully made its way toward them.
With those words, the arena went into an uproar in an instant as he stood still calmly.
"What? This girl is so arrogant…"
"Yeah right?"
"Boo…!"
Meanwhile, Edam only glanced around with a curious expression.
It was still weird to see so many girls screaming and booing at him.
It wasn't long before someone jumped on the ring.
It was a burly woman wielding a war ax in her two hands.
"I, Arese will be your opponent then!" Without losing any time the burly woman rushed at him.
Glancing at her Edam smiled faintly.
Swoosh!
She jumped in the air and throw one of her weapons at him as she descent with the other ax to strike.
Without much effort, Edam easily dodged the first ax and raised his right hand to meet the other ax.
"She's crazy!" That was the thought in everyone's head. That ax was imbued in Haki and they knew how ugly it would end.
His fingers were pinched into a flicking motion toward the approaching ax…
Crack! Boom!
As expected the ax met the finger but the result was something else.
Instead of cleaving apart the said hand, one of the fingers flicked forward with a formidable might and momentum destroying the ax into a hundred pieces.
With another movement, Edam approached the woman and with his other hand, he struck her abdomen making her crumble on the ground.
~~~
There was a silence for a while…
"Hum, oh and I've forgotten to say it but I'm a man…" As he said that, he casually stood still and asked. "So who's next?"
There was another uproar as the girls present shouted and exclaimed.
"Hey, what is a man?"
"Uh, I don't know…"
"We have never explored the outside, how could we know?"
"Ah, let me go ask the elites…"
…
Following this, dozens of Kuja warriors entered the arena one by one to fight him but alas, none of them could even scratch his skin despite all the methods they employed, they couldn't last a minute.
Meanwhile in a castle not so far away…
Standing in front of a window was a fairy-like black-haired young woman. She had a porcelain countenance and a silhouette that would truly make any fairy ashamed of themselves should they stand by her side. Not so far away, two huge girls sat quietly.
However, as she looked outside, anyone could see that her eyes were sometimes dulled and even void of emotions.
As she looked outside, there was a certain curiosity flickering deep inside her eyes as she spoke.
"Marie, they are active outside, why? Is there a particular event today?"
"Hum? I don't know, let me go and see." An enormous orange-haired girl stood up.
"Hum…" The black-haired girl indifferently nodded before she made her way toward the bed.
She let herself slowly free fall on her back as she grabbed what looked like a comic book and started to read, immersing herself in reading.
It was only after twenty minutes or so that she was brought out of her reading by a commotion. The heavy steps of her sister 'woke' her up.
"Big sis, big sis! I know why there is a commotion in the arena!" Marie gold was panting but still said.
"Marie, breathe…" Sandersonia who was sitting around a table said.
Meanwhile, Hancock sat down on her bed and tilted her head at Marie. "Why is that then…?"
"There is… a man is challenging our Kuja warriors in the arena…!" Mariegold yelled a bit.
Hearing this, Hancock frowned as her eyes became frosty. "What…?" And she added.
"Then, why is he still alive…?"
"Uh, Sis I don't know if you want to kill him…" Mariegold forced a smile as she whispered some words in Hancock's ears as the latter expression became wonderful to look at.
...
Back to the arena…
Numerous bodies were down on the ground in the arena totally unconscious, with only Edam still standing up, looking rather calm with his faint smile.
On the other hand, the audience was completely flabbergasted as they whispered.
Their best warriors were one by one falling on the ground in one punch, kick, flick or slap.
This was utterly humiliating for them who were proud to call themselves a warrior tribe.
"Next?" Edam turned toward the audience with a somewhat innocent and honest look.
But seeing his 'honest' face, those girls couldn't help but curse at him in their hearts.
"We should shoot this man down!"
"True!"
Just as a group of girls was going to draw their bow to shoot their arrows…
"Edam?" A gentle voice calls out from nearby suppressing the noise and drawing everyone's attention toward it.
"Snake Princess!"
"Princess Hancock!"
"It's the Empress!"
All the girls with the bows in their hands quickly withdrew their bows and greeted the beautiful black-haired girl.
Edam too at this point had already turned around as his eyes automatically set themselves on her.
She was standing next to a throne with her two sisters standing by her sides as she looked at him with a flushed and somewhat panting expression as if she ran with all her might to arrive here.
"Hello, Princess..." He waved at her with a heartfelt smile on his face.
Seeing her standing so close to him, all the doubts and questions he had earlier and should have were washed away by her simple presence.
She rapidly began to walk down the staircases but at about two meters away, she against all odds and under all eyes…
Jumped in the air toward Edam with wide-open arms…!
"Sis!" Mariegold and Sandersonia exclaimed.
"Princess!" The crowd too exclaimed, thinking that she stumble on something.
Even Edam was caught off guard as he exclaimed. "Hey…" But despite all that, his arms still subconsciously opened up as he gently caught her in his arms, stumble a bit but stayed on his feet and gently hugged her.
He casually breathes in her light and natural but so sweet fragrance and suddenly felt a blissful feeling blooming in his heart and soul.
Meanwhile, she was on the contrary listening to his heartbeats as if these sounds could help her sleep peacefully as if her own heart was malfunctioning before and was now beating naturally again at the same rhythm as his heart.
~~~
The arena was silent… silent like never before… some girls had even forgotten to breathe… even a drop of water could be heard...
However, as they look at the two persons hugging on the arena, they just couldn't bring themselves to break this moment, it seems to be so 'perfect'...
No one had the heart to break this immortal moment, it was the two birds themselves who broke it…
Edam was the first to wake up from this reverie as he gently whispered in her ears.
"Hey… Everyone is looking…I don't really mind but…" He stopped at that as he heard and felt Hancock's heartbeats accelerating but didn't seem so willing to move away.
Her eyes were even fȯrċɨbŀƴ closed and her charming face was flushed red with an expression of someone who made a mistake.
Seeing this, Edam smiled faintly at her and continued to hug her.
However, the audience opened their eyes wide as they looked at the two because…
The two were presently floating in the air!
Like flying in the air without any wings, as if the spirit of wind was carrying them or something.
"Marie, Sonia, I'm borrowing your sister okay?" He asked but didn't even wait for their replies as he flew up to the clouds with the beauty in his arms.
…
After a while, it was then that the audience went into the most exaggerated uproar since long ago.
"The Princess was kidnapped!"
"Who is that man?!"
"What the hell is going on today!? I can't understand anything at all!!!"
"Why is he flying!?!?"
"Where is he going!?"
…
They basically went crazy… Only Marigold and Sandersonia were relatively calm as they knew that Edam was the least probable to hurt their sister…
So they just sighed and laughed bitterly as they dispersed the crowd before returning to the palace.
…
Meanwhile, up in the sky…
"Hey… you should open your eyes, it's truly beautiful from up there…" His voice echoed out.
Hearing this, her eyes fluttered gently as she opened them to look around.
She was stunned to see the clouds all around her. And when she looked down she couldn't help but tighten her grasp on Edam with a frightening look in her eyes.
"Don't worry I got you, I won't let go…" Edam chuckled and embraced her slim waist even closer with his hands.
"Where, where are you taking me to?" Hancock said with a nervous expression.
"Hehe, like the saying goes, on cloud nine I guess?" He smiled leisurely.
To Edam wonder, her face went red when she heard those words.
"You…" She didn't finish her sentence.
"Hmm? What is it?" He asked with curiosity?
"You don't know?"
"Don't know what?"
Hancock didn't know whether to laugh or cry as her lips approached his ear and whispered some words.
And in the next instant it was Edam's face turn to go red.
"I...I didn't mean…"
Seeing his flustered face, she laughed a bit but not for long.
Feeling a bit bullied, Edam narrowed his eyes at her and said. "And how do you even know that…?"
And she re-went pinky mode but didn't say it.
