Chapter 128 - 128: The All-knowing Zuno!

(A/N: I know, I'm slow…???? but I don't have time nowadays, the events are flying by and I'm a bit lost…"

…

"Alright, the trip should take two days…"

In normal times, Edam would have exclaimed his lungs out that he didn't want to wait so long and that they should find a solution to be quick…

But, the current situation was giving him a huge and immense weight on the shoulders shutting his mouth a bit.

He really wasn't in the mood to even complain about those two days.

He tightly held a small flower wristband in his hands. It was offered to him by Hancock a month ago for his birthday to his unhappy self at that time since he never liked his birth date as it always reminded him of 'that' tragic day.

However, she never agreed to this saying that it was a blessing for her...

"...Yamote what is this solution all about?"

"Oh, yes, as I'm not a native from this Side I don't know, but on the Other Side, I know of one sure-method to save little Hancock for certain! On the Other Side there exist seven relics capable of granting one wish!"

"Seven relics?"

"Yes, they are called the 7 wishing orbs, or super dragon balls. According to legends after having been gathered, the Dragon God Zalama's avatar will appear and grant you any wish…" Yamote said with awe and respect in his eyes.

"...Zalama...?" Edam repeated the name in his mind as pain suddenly shot his head, and most precisely the scar on his head.

"Yes, a-..." Yamote was gonna speak when he was interrupted.

"A humongous Golden Dragon..." Edam said blankly while rubbing his scar in pain. For a reason or another, a feeling of anger and despise seemed to overtake his mind for a split second.

"Yes, exactly…" Yamote gave a strange look but didn't say anything.

"And of course you know where, when, and how to gather these dragon balls right?"

"Uh, well, yes but no…" Yamote said and started to explain.

At the end of his explanation, Edam sighed. "How could it be so easy…"

According to Yamote, the seven super dragon balls are gigantic planet-sized orbs that are dispersed throughout two universes…

Two goddam universes...!

One universe was already a vast and infinite expanse for ordinary people and here you come and tell him to search through two universes?

He might as well just die of old age…

"Don't worry, master, we have many options, with one being to retrieve my scepter…" Yamote put a thumbs up.

"And where is it?"

"...In the void... somewhere… I think..." Yamote looked elsewhere and scratched his head in embarrassment.

"Another option?"

Yamote mulled over and then said. "Oh yes, we could also search for the smaller dragon balls!"

"There are other wish-granting relics?" Edam asked curiously.

"Well, they are smaller, but so are their powers..." Yamote didn't know if their powers could travel to this Side or even simply heal Hancock from her special circumstance.

"...Since we have hours ahead of us, tell me what I need to know…" Although he wasn't in the mood to speak and exchange words, he still forced himself to listen to Yamote.

…

…

Meanwhile, in an isolated place outside the multiverse with no space nor time to speak about, a white light suddenly broke open and brightened the void for a moment on top of a huge piece of floating land with a red palace appeared.

However, this palace was in a pretty bad state, and clearly, no one had cleaned it for ages.

Edam and Yamote quietly surged out of the light as the young man's eyes wandered around with a calm and quiet expression. "..."

"Where are we?"

"Yes, umm, this is the Null Realm or the World of Void, a world with infinite nothingness and where no life can naturally grow in…" Yamote explained plainly.

"And this is?" Edam looked at the destroyed palace. "A palace?"

"Well, this is a palace but also a Throne. In time immemorial, this Throne used to belong to my previous master, but it seems that it was forgotten in this forsaken place…" Yamote explained having a complicated expression on his face.

"Oh, you had a previous master?"

"Yup, I actually had a lot of masters, but the last one was the most insane and lunatic psycho… Those who know him by name say that he was a greedy and arrogant douchebag, stubborn like hell, never listening to my godly advice, and always seeking trouble!" Yamote started to insult this previous master of his with a lively expression feeling quite happy about it.

"And he… he never liked this place, me too…"

"Couldn't he just get out?"

"Well, yeah he could from time to time but he was born here and was forever bound to this realm…"

"...Well, if this place was his home then I pity him… this palace, no, this whole world of nothingness feels sad, I would prefer to die than stay in here…" Edam softly murmured this out of nowhere and then walked around to look at the palace quietly.

"..." Yamote seemed somewhat taken aback by his words remembering some past event as he wanted to say something but then fell silent for a moment and revealed a melancholic expression for a split second.

"Hn. The rumors and legends say that this realm was once favorable to the existence and creation of Life and was even one with what preceded the empty expanse that we now call the Multiverse… however, as you can see it everything has returned to nothingness… condemning this place to never be able to naturally grow any life here…"

"...That's… kinda incredible I think…"

"It is… few people know that..."

"Umm, so in the end, your previous master was… killed?"

"Umm, yes and no, the word 'killed' isn't correct, but…" Yamote smiled at that.

"Just like you, he would rather die than stay in this lonely place. 'Dying' was a choice that he made, not something that was or could be imposed on him. In his desperation and madness, he gambled everything on one last attempt to escape and finally succeeded… but losing his 'life' in the process..."

"...You seem to miss him…"

"Not really… I was captured and forced to be his servant so… it was only throughout the years that I came to understand him..." Yamote's face twitched as he thought about it.

"Oh, then, don't you seek your freedom? Why are you even staying with me? You could have gone and made your own life, you know…"

"Ah? No, with you I can at least pee- I mean personally gather intel instead of staying in this goddamn place for millions of years…!" Yamote nearly screamed at the end of his sentence feeling some resentment with this world.

"Anyway, aren't we searching for the dragon balls? Why are we here?" Edam walked around the palace and observed this world of nothingness.

"...?" Yamote shook his head and exclaimed. "Oh, right, we're here to retrieve the scepter, it should be here, hopefully…"

As he spoke both of them approached the palace and…

Swing!

They were suddenly transported inside of it.

…

Meanwhile somewhere on the Other Side…

On top of a giant blue floating jellyfish, a sort of huge palace could be seen standing there.

And seemingly near this palace twelve floating bubbles were floating and doing their things. However if one were to look carefully, they would see that these twelve bubbles were twelve far, far away universes!

In the palace, a man with the appearance of a child and a halo floating behind his head was walking when he suddenly stopped in his tracks in surprise.

"Someone? There…?"

Extending his hand, a crystal ball appeared and started to show images of the intended place, and his mouth turned into a faint smile.

"Oh, so it's you, Eden was it…? Umm, well, I guess it is rightfully yours after all..." His smile had a strange feeling of mystery to it as he watched Edam and Yamote entering the palace. "That bird is also back…"

…

…

"So, did you find it?" Edam, who had his back lying against a pillar and his arms crossed asked as he waited for Yamote to come out.

"Argh! Dammit! Someone stole it, I'm certain! It must be one of those damn white-haired guys who took it back…!"

"Uh, what do you mean by 'took it back'...?" Edam asked, feeling that something was wrong with his line.

"Well, it's not mine, I borrowed it but I had planned to give it back one day alright?"

"Uh-huh… anyway, what should we do?"

"We can only do it the old way and open a portal there…"

"Three days again…?" Edam frowned but Yamote smiled and shook his head.

"Don't worry master, breaking the Wall between the two sides isn't comparable to merely traveling around, plus I'm pretty familiar with this side, a few minutes should do it, it will be a piece of cake…" He reassured him instantly and immediately put himself to work.

"If I remember well, the coordinates of universes 6 and 7 are…" Yamote pondered and did his magic.

"Aren't there twelve universes? Why those two specifically…?"

"Who knows? Perhaps the Dragon God Zarama just likes them more than the others?" Yamote shrugged his shoulders.

"…"

"It's done!" Yamote exclaimed happily as he saw the gate open.

"Good job."

They both entered it and with a flash of white light were once again gone.

…

Time rapidly flew by and the white light flashed yet again on a strange planet.

"So this is the omniscient Zuno's planet?" Yamote had already told him some info along the way.

Not so far away they could see a sort of temple.

"Correct…" Yamote said before disappearing inside him.

"Why are you hiding?" Edam asked curiously.

"Our last meeting with my previous master wasn't so polite… and I can't stand this guy at all, Lord, you too should wear a hood or a cloak to hide…"

"Why me too? And Isn't he supposed to be omniscient? Won't he know my identity?" Edam asked but still took out a hoodie to wear.

"That idiot is omniscient only when someone asks a question, or when he wants to know an answer... and although he can know the life and identity of pretty much everyone but certainly not yours…"

"...? Why? Didn't you say I was from this Side…?"

"Uh… yeah but… technically you weren't 'born' on this Side so it perhaps doesn't count…?"

"..." Edam continued to walk straight toward the temple.

There, a few people were already waiting in line and were discussing with each other.

"Hey, Mr. Jack what a surprise to see you here, I had to wait a year to get an appointment…"

"And me two years…"

"What do you want to ask?"

"I wanna know if my neighbor's child is mine or not…"

"Oh…"

"And you?"

"Uh… I wanna know if my wife is cheating on me…"

"..."

"..."

…

After that, a fight to the death happened between them and one of them died, freeing some places.

As Edam arrived, he was stopped by what should be a guard of this Zuno guy…

"Welcome, do you have an appointment, sir?" The guard politely asked as he took a book and a pencil out.

"Sorry… I don't... " Edam lifted his head and his black eyes lit up and burst out a cold red light. "I can't afford to wait a year or two…"

With that, all living beings in the vicinity fell unconscious on the ground as Edam made his way inside the temple.

'Well, this visit won't be so polite too, alright, alright…' Yamote thought to himself.

*Inside the temple*

Edam saw various guards surrounding another guy sitting and floating in the air with a sort of chair.

But a small tint of curiosity appeared on Edam's face when he saw that every one of them had the same facial features.

"Halt, you're not allowed to enter here…!" A lot of guards charged at him.

"I'm not here to kill… so out of the way…"

A thick and immense pressure descended upon the guards as they were crushed on the ground by a massive quantity of red Ki.

"I just want to ask a few questions…" Edam instantly appeared in front of who he thought to be Zuno, and their eyes met.

"I- I won't reply to you, imprudent man…" The Zuno guy said with fear and anger.

"...Aren't you supposed to be omniscient?" The temperature in Edam's eyes plummeted dangerously as he spoke.

"What do you think I will do if you don't reply to my question...?" His cold voice sounded out.

"Eek…!" Zuno's eyes were filled with fear at this instant but then took a surprised expression.

"I'm in a hurry to go back home, so decide yourself, quick…"

"I- I-... I will talk so…" Zuno gulped down and said.

"Alright…" Edam nodded slightly and asked.

"I want to know where the Super Dragon Balls are currently…"

"Ahem, concerning the Super Dragon Balls, etc…" Zuno then told him the locations of each of the orbs but of course, Edam not being from this Universe and Side didn't know...

"Next, I want to know where I can find the smaller dragon balls..." As Yamote only knew their existence but not their locations and was a bit uncertain of their powers, he asked.

"The smaller dragon balls? Umm which one, there are various sets of dragon balls in Universe 7…"

"Uh… the easiest to gets…"

"Oh, ahem, the easiest would be either the cerealians planet or the namekian Dragon Balls of Universe 7, both are peaceful, especially the latter, they might even lend you their orbs if you explain your… situation…" Zuno then gave the details of these orbs and the locations of these planets...

"...Can they fix a Destruction Core from the Other Side, and if not, then what solutions do I have…?"

"The amount of power the dragon balls have depends on how much the creator is powerful and/or how much life energy the creator is willing to give up to grant a wish. In normal time, these dragon balls' power wouldn't be enough, but if the creator were to give their lives, for example, the wish can be granted…"

"..."

"Another solution would be for a Creation God or a God of Destruction to use the godly transfusion on the intended target…"

"...The godly transfusion…"

"Or another solution would be to find the sets of Dark Dragon Balls and sacrifice enough lives as an offering to power up his power and grant your wishes…"

"...What else?"

"...*Gulp* there is, there are also those from the planet earth of Universe 7, they are also peaceful but do not really like strangers using their orbs..." Despite saying this, he still gave the location of the planet.

"You mean that there are powerful people there?"

"Yes, some above-average martial artists who have reached a good level for mortals… However, the most powerful and dangerous ones are the two Saiyans over there…"

"Saiyans?" Edam was surprised for an instant.

"Yes, they have reached the level of the gods but they are currently away from the said planet, though they could come back anytime…"

Noticing his silence, Zuno gulped and spoke. "The- The Dark Dragon Balls are already ȧssembled and have yet to be used, they can be found at-..." He was interrupted halfway.

"...That will be all, thank you…" Edam didn't wait for him to finish as he turned around and made his way out.

Although Edam never saw himself as a good person, these dark orbs were a bad omen for sure, making a massacre when there were other options wasn't something he wanted.

Though, he was quite tempted to know the locations of these dark orbs which was the main reason he didn't listen at all… The temptation was ever-present and in his madness to heal her and save the baby, he might actually do it… As the saying goes, ignorance is bliss...

"My lord? Where do you want to go then?"

"The planet Cereal, only two orbs are needed to summon its eternal dragon, and the Cereal Planet is the nearest compared to the other two…"

"Indeed, but, as he said, their powers will be much weaker or even useless…"

"I know…"

…
