10 Assigning Tasks and Catching Up

He travelled back towards his castle within the southern region of Regarus forest. He transformed back to his human form at his balcony and entered his room, he opened the wooden door to the right of his bed that led to a spiraling stone staircase leading downstairs. He walked down to the tower's bottom and entered his throne room from the right through a hidden entrance shaped as a 3m tall bookshelf. The throne room is quite lit up with torches and a floating wisp of fire in front of each of the ten pillars that line up before the throne, 5 on each side. On each side of the wall are bookshelves stacked on top of another, the total height completely covering the stone wall behind them. The throne is made of a black material, it stood over 2m tall and its crimson cushion between the crimson armrests can only accomodate one person at a time. As a vampire, he would not ever grow fat and he did not plan to have any fat snob sit on his throne. He walked away from the throne to exit the room through the two massive, wooden doors. He walked down the dark corridors and walked towards the command room. In his command room, there is a large, polished stone table at its center with a large black chair facing the door. Opposite to it are two golden chairs with red cushions appearing like the seats that only royals can sit on. On the remaining two sides, are 4 silver chairs on each side with blue cushions. The room had a stone ceiling shaped as a dome with an artistic painting depicting a war. The walls are made of light colored mahogany and supported metal lanterns that gave off light for the room.

He summoned Lilith, Gusion and Skadia from the world crystal. He told them to sit down on the sides, Gusion and Lilith sat side by side while Skadia sat alone on the left side. "I've summoned you three here because you three will be managing errands and duties for me. All of you will be permanently summoned. As long as you do the tasks required, you may do anything you want at your freetime. Just come to me when I call for you.", he explained. Sebastian then begin dividing tasks. "Skadia and Gusion, you both will handle city affairs. Gusion will handle the city's diplomatic and economic affairs while Skadia will handle the city's development and defense. For the city's political aspects, I task you both to handle it. Now off you go." He dismissed the Valkyrie and the Demon Duke, commanding them to oversee the town. Both of them exited the castle and travelled by flight towards the near completed city. Seeing that she is all alone, Lilith flirted with Sebastian and asked seductively, "Master, what do you want me to do? If you want to taste me just say the word and I'll give you a memorable night." He immediately rejected her offer and replied, "No my dear Lilith, you will be managing the castle. Now, please call your daughters and assign them their tasks." She simply nodded, accepting her master's rejection and left the room. When she left, he summoned Hailyn and Theresa. "What do you need me to do master?" Theresa asked. He told them to take a seat before telling her task, "Theresa, your job is to handle the religious affairs of Bloodthorn city and to become my personal assistant when I handle royal related duties. Since Bloodthorn city has not been completely built, I will not set you off to handle its current affairs. You will be helping Lilith manage the castle for now." Theresa replied helpless, "If it is the will of my lord, I will happily oblige." She wanted to give more of a help than just do housekeeping. However, she could only ask at a later date as the master is still assigning tasks. He then gave Hailyn her task, "Hailyn, you are to become the ruler of Regarus forest so that it will become a part of my domain. You will simply guard my castle from the shadows and grow stronger, before you challenge any of the kings of the forest." Hailyn stood up, smiled and bowed before disappearing into a pile of leaves blown by the wind.

Monsters may be mostly unintelligent animals, but they form a hierarchy. Normal monsters are under the command of alphas, alphas are under the command of chieftains, chieftains are under the command of generals and generals are under the command of kings. There is emperor monsters that rule over king monsters, but those existences are very few due to the abundance of powerful king monsters. The change in hierarchy is usually following the law of survival of the fittest whereby the strongest or the one who kills the one on that position will replace it. He needed her to become the forest's ruler so that he could build another city within it for his future kingdom. He sent Theresa away to help Lilith while he went over to his library upstairs. While designing it, he made sure to place all the contents within his near omniscient guide book inside the library in different books so he could explore different content one by one. The library is 3 floors above the Throne room but this time, he used his main stairs instead of any secret passages. The library's large wooden doors are located at the end of a roofed stone bridge from the main tower to a shorter tower that contains the massive library. The bridge is not long, it only took less than a minute to walk to the other end. The bridge is wide enough to allow six people to walk through side by side with only a small gap between them and its height is tall enough to even allow 9 foot tall beings to walk through it. It had stone pillars supporting its arched roof, there is no lighting on the bridge and the only illumination it received is either from the moon or from the sun. Upon reaching the entrance of the library, the doors immediately opened themselves inwards, allowing their master through. When he walked it, his face grew an awed expression. While he did design it, he didn't expect it to be so huge. As he observed, he became more awestrucked as he realized that the library is so tall that the whole tower itself is only the library. He also felt grateful of the system who was so generous that it gave him a whole ocean of knowledge in trade of some memories and his life. For him it is a massive profit, he hated is previous, f***ed up life so he couldn't care less if he is permanently trapped here. Anywhere is better than his old life, not to mention that with his powers, immortality and looks he would have an amazing eternity here. The world is far more vast and he could have an endless adventure here, it's pretty much a gamer's heaven.

The stairs split into two paths, on leading to the library's floor while one leading to another staircase that continued spiraling up until a platform below the domed ceiling. The stairs are made of ancient, immortal wood with peach like colors. Along the side of the stairs are runes written in gold. The library is illuminated by flying wisps of fire that floated stationary beside the stairs. While inside, he felt his mind being more clear and calm. He attributed this due to the high density of mana and spiritual energy of the castle's location. He turned right and went down the stairs. The stairway to the entrance is only seven steps which is half of what the other stairs had. The floor is fully carpeted in red with 3 golden sofas with red cushions leaning towards the wall. There is four circular wooden tables with golden linings around the floor and each one had four to six golden lined wooden chairs around it. In the library, he planned to spend all night and day until he has to feed tomorrow evening, learning more about the world. With his IQ of 180, three times faster processing speed and hundreds of times better memory, he can learn most things about the Terradeus continent as he planned on establishing a kingdom. By getting accustomed, he can blend in easily and handle problems easily instead of resorting on using his hypnosis abilities as a vampire. To help him find the correct books easily, each rack contained tens of books of similar or same topics with a sign above the rack's mid section that told what topic(s) the books are about and their continent of origin. With this system, he would minimize the time needed to locate similar books so he can easily relate one topic to another, increasing his understanding and efficiency.

For his first topic, he searched the history of the Terradeus continent. He took out his first book, a red book with the word History of the Agareth Kingdom from the shelf at the bottom and started reading. With his fast comprehension and his Greater Intelligence skill, he can finish a whole 300 page book in a minute. And so, he continues to read for a whole day, millions of facts populating his mind in a matter of hours.
