24 Update Complete!

In the library's bottom floor, Sebastian sat down on a wooden throne like chair behind a wooden circular table with purple pulsating runes around its edges. He is reading an advanced master's forging history and experience. The techniques and terms is quickly absorbed by his heavily augmented brain allowing him to reach an advanced blacksmith's level of understanding. However, he had never forged any items so he only had an edge in knowledge and theory.

As the two hours quickly passed by, a system notification popped up.

System Update Complete. All players may use the merit system, fragment system, leaderboard system and player identification features.

"System's complete, you got 10,000 merits. What do you want to buy?" A familliar voice rang in his head. 'I'd rather conserve them for later Hirani.' A short pause ensued before the valkyrie's voice came again. "You sure? You should really see what they sell. That might convince you to buy something." He gave it some thought and agreed to trying out the new store. All he needed to access there is by simply pressing a mental button which allows him to see the store.

The store's form is similar to e-bay but it had a medieval and ancient theme to it. The categories there are Cultivation, Mastery, Tools, Currency, Skills, Equipment, Monsters, Servants, Materials and Creation Gates. He explored the store by clicking each of the categories. These major categories have even more categories within them and are very diverse but specific. 'The filters here are so accurate.' The divisions are so many that people would get results at least quintuple times as accurate as what any modern search engine could provide.

The things that the store provided are very complete. They even have divine items, equipments and even elevation monsters. With this new feature, one could use much merit points to purchase any monsters that they want to elevate with. With this, they would get a high chance of obtaining complete inheritances and skills instead or just receiving a handful. The monsters here are sold at a price range depending on their mutation and awakening stages. Iron monsters and below cost 1 merit point to purchase 2.

Bronze monsters cost 1 merit point to purchase. Silver monsters cost 2 merit point to purchase. Gold monsters cost 5 merit points to purchase. Apex monsters cost 20 merit points to purchase. Low Immortal monsters cost 50 merit points. Mid Immortal monsters cost 100 merit points. High Immortal monsters cost 200 merit points. Lower Eternal monsters cost 400 merit points. Higher Eternal monsters cost 1000 merit points. Lower Legendary monsters cost 5000 merit points and all the higher combat rank monsters are too expensive for him to purchase now.

He looked up at the equipment section to find an endless list of all types of equipment. 'Woah, that's a crap ton of stuff to choose from.' They had swords to plasma guns, shields to brain implants. They had pretty much everything. There are no common ranks at all. The prices between every 3 ranks are multiplied by 10. Uncommon equipment sold for 1 merit point while Imperial equipment sold for 1000 merit points. With the merit points he had now, he could purchase one Pseudo Mythical piece of equipment. However, he is not interested in upgrading his equipment anytime soon since his equipment are still in Tier 0.

He'd like to judge his equipment's true power once they have reached their fully awakened Tier. He is particularly interested to the skills sections. When he entered it for his first time, his body almost jumped at joy. The skills allowed him to gain very useful skills that he would only need to purchase instead of inventing or inheriting it which could take months or years for anyone to achieve. While he originally planned on saving his merit points for later, he stumbled upon an amazing skill.

Advanced Combat Domain (Imperial Rank)

Type: Passive Skill

Effect: All things that occur within a 50m radius from the user is completely and clearly perceived by the user.

With the combat domain, he could see all of his enemies' actions within this range. It makes most melee and single target skills ineffective against him because it pushes his five senses to beyond supernatural levels. It literally makes everything within that range completely clear, it allows one to dodge and execute counter attacks like they know their enemy's next move like they are reading a children's book.

As an Imperial ranked skill, it costed 1000 merit points. Considering its advantage, 1000 merits could be called a very cheap price. He instantly bought the skill and and it becomes integrated immediately. Since he is still within the store, he cannot use his new skill until he returns back into reality. He continued exploring the store for hours. In real time, it is already 11.30 p.m. The store left him a great impression, 'It has pretty much anything you need.'

Before returning into reality, he looked at the leaderboards. The number one player is Abraxia, a female Tier 5 Sacred Dragonkin. She is a Grand Genius of the Imperial Legendary rank from the Khefrata continet. Her age is already in her three hundreds, her other personal information is not present in the system but it reported that she is a Chaotic Neutral person. He then looked at the other members of the top ten. They were all either high ranked prodigies or great geniuses of the demigod ranks.

He searched for his rank and it's a surprisingly short scroll down. 'I'm in the top 100?!!' He ranked an astounding 82 and is the only immortal ranked person in the top 100. He couldn't believe it, he didn't try too hard on anything so far but somehow made it to the top 100 out of a current 12,000 players in the game. The people near his rank are either geniuses or prodigies, he guessed that they did not buy the God Package that's why they are not great geniuses or above. There is even an Eternal-3 ranked person behind his rank.

'Whoever that is must be pissed because a measly immortal level like me is actually stronger than him.' He inwardly laughed. After a short check on the leaderboard, he checked out of the place with his domain skill. Before he snapped back to reality, his valkyrie gave him a simple but useful advice, "I know that you're trying to improve by reading right? But you can't study beyond the midnight limit. Tell you what, drink half of a person's blood to extend that limit by 2 hours it should help a lot."

He thanked Hirani for her great advice, he just needed to drink more blood. For a vampire, blood tastes like the best delicacy and one could never get enough of it. Even a person who had no taste during his/her life would instantly be addicted to drinking blood. Even having the best sex pales in comparison to the tastes and pleasure of drinking blood. To get more blood, he recalled the obviously nose bleeding fan girls who admired him like their prince charming.

To help himself and give a little pleasure to them, he decided to seduce them and drink their blood. It will give him and her an immense sense of pleasure and they will simply remember it like a dream as he can simply wipe her memory with a simple kiss to the lips. He then went back into reality and began his nightly hunt. Due to his increased rank, he flew at the capital where most of them lived at Mach 18 speeds. It took him less than 3 minutes to arrive at the 500km away capital of the kingdom.

He landed on the roof and reverted to his handsome human form. Like a dark shadow, he jumped from roof to roof in a flash, not making even a slight creak of sound. He manipulated shadows to find these girls and adjust them to his liking. He transferred his mind reading powers to the slithering shadows to make sure that his victims are virgins and not rich horny b****es. The shadows moved at great speeds, they appeared like a black flash. Moving from wall to wall like a fast bolt being shot across the street.

It took only five minutes to find his targets. There were all 18 year olds, virgins and they have supermodel beauty. He took the closest one to him, she slept on a white bed surrounded by holy artifacts around the room. Since he had the passive skill Blessed Darkness, holy artifacts are almost harmless to him. He used his mist form to enter the closed window, he moved through the cracks in the wood that made up the clear window's frame.

He commanded the shadows to surround the room and prevent any sound from escaping. He awakened her by using his telepathic powers. She opened her innocent blue eyes and instantly spotted Sebastian. "Sebastian, is that you?" She felt very sleepy and she thought she is hallucinating. His glowing red eyes penetrated the dark room and entered into her. She felt weak on her knees, he did not even have to use hypnosis to dominate her. He walked slowly to her bed and unbuttoned his shirt on the way. Her face immediately grew flustered, blushes appearing on her cheeks and she started to sweat due to sexual arousal.

When he arrived at the foot of her bed, his abs glistened in the moonlight. 'Damn, why is he so hot?' She started to sweat harder and used her hand like a fan. Sebastian crawled on her bed like a wolf sizing up its prey. His glowing red eyes penetrated her soul and filled her with both fear and pleasure. As he arrives in front of her, her face fills up with excitement. A few seconds of silence filled the place, she stared at him with longing eyes before he suddenly kissed her. She kisses back harder and they had a pleasurable minute long kiss.

After that minute, he pulled away and whispered on her ear, "Have a nice night my sweet princess." Upon hearing that, her heartbeat went faster before she suddenly feels a prick on her neck and quickly falls asleep. He drained half of her blood, her body began to slightly pale until he stopped and gently let her down in her bed. He went out and repeated the seduction in different ways to the other 2 girls. They all ended up sleeping with satisfied expressions on their faces.

The 3 girls gave him a 6 hour extension to his reading. Not wanting to waste anymore time, he immediately flew back to his castle's library at maximum speed. In the short flight, he started to plan making a hot tub. Despite being a vampire, he started to stink. If not for being able to shapeshift into mist constantly, he would smell like a rotting corpse by now. When he arrived, he took out a book on engineering that is copied from his old world. It contained complete instructions, theory and material requirements of the things he would want to make.

In the six ensuing hours, he stayed cooped up in the library, reading. The 6 hours gave him Intermediate Master rank in knowledge and theory for forging and engineering. All he needed to truly become an intermediate master would be 7 new techniques and 7 epic ranked equipment that he has to forge on his own.
