102 Chapter 101: Relapse

Zack looked down at the girl sleeping on his bed peacefully. She looked like a little angel. Her black silk like hair was fanned out across the pillow. The rhythm of her chest rising up and down was magnetic, more so since she was barely covered in a thin blanket. Her bare legs were splayed across the expanse of the bed, making him itch to touch them. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart down. He reminded himself why he was standing there. He had to wake her up- it was time. She had her classes and so did he. He didn't feel like waking her up but, it was essential that she got all the training that she could before her wolf surfaced, he thought. 

Leaning towards her ears, he whispered, "Time to wake up."

"Go away, Agatha!" Elize whined, turning to the other side.

Zack chuckled. She looked so adorable right now, he thought to himself. He ran a finger along the line of her exposed back, making her slightly shiver. 

"Baby it's time for class." He coaxed.

Elize turned around confused. "Zack?" She called, a smile spreading across her sleepy face. "Come here. hold me for some more time." She said, opening her arms wide.

Her actions exposed her once barely covered chest. His eyes strayed to the area, fanning his barely controlled desire. He knew that if he let her have her way, then they'd end up making out once again. His jaws clenched as he made a hard decision. He quickly grabbed the blanket and pulled it off of her. Elize gasped in surprise, a mischievous smile growing on her face as she looked up at him. Without wasting another second, Zack rolled her to the other side, wrapping the blanket tightly around her. He then picked her up and swung her over his shoulder. 

"Hey! What are you doing?! Put me down!" Elize shouted, struggling.

Zack shook his head. "No can do," he replied, ignoring her protests.

He walked into the bathroom and put her down in the empty tub. Seeing her struggle, he quickly unwrapped the blanket and set her free. Grabbing the opportunity, she stood up, looking irritated.

Pointing a finger towards him, she started, "Zack you-"

"You have fifteen minutes." Zack interrupted, "Get ready and come out."

"Come here please?" She whined, trying to grab his hand.

Zack stepped back, shaking his head. "Fifteen minutes Elize." He said, turning around and walking towards the door.

"Come back here!"Elize shouted.

Zack ignored her, grabbing the side of the door. He was about to close it when he heard a low growl. He looked back alarmed. The growl came from Elize! But how?! He wondered, looking at his mate wide-eyed. She was crouching in the tub in an animalistic way, with a crazed look in her eyes. He quickly reached out to her, grabbing the sides of her face with his hands.

Looking deep into her eyes, he whispered, "Baby it's fine. I'm here now."

"Zack?" She asked, cocking her head to the side.

Was she unaware of what had just happened? Was it unconscious? He thought to himself. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Both of them turned around in unison.

"Shhh," Zack warned, keeping a finger on her mouth. Elize nodded in agreement. 

He got up and walked out of the bathroom. Placing his ears near the door to the room, he asked, "Who's it?"

"It's me. Open up, man." Came the reply.

Zack recognized the voice. It was his cousin. He had not come back to their room yesterday night, so Zack had sneaked Elize inside, knowing that Lang Jin wouldn't return till the morning. He slightly opened the door, peeking through the narrow slit.

"Come back later. I have a company." He said putting just his head outside.

Lang Jin's suddenly grew excited. "What?! You sneaked a girl in?!" He exclaimed.

A few heads turned towards the two of them from the corridor. Zack glared at his cousin in reaction. 

"Keep your voice down." He warned. Then with a smirk, he accused, "Like you never did."

Lang Jin chuckled. Pushing against the door he whined, "I wanna see her."

"Nope," Zack replied, without moving an inch.

The pressure that Jin was applying was nothing to him. He was way stronger than most wolves out there. 

Finally giving up, Lang Jin leaned in. "Is it a junior? Is she hot?" He asked, raising his brows.

"I really don't have the time," Zack said shaking his head.

"At least tell me-" 

"Bye Jin," Zack said, slamming the door on his cousin's face.

Locking the door behind him, he walked back towards the bathroom. He knocked on the door once. 

"Elize?" He called out.

There was no reply.

Zack grew worried. He remembered how bad it was the last time that her wolf tried to surface. 

"Babe? I'm coming in okay?" He said, opening the door.

What he saw shook him. His mate was lying down in the tub unconsciously. Her head rested against the corner of the wall and, her hands lay limp on either side of her body. He quickly ran over to her, shifting the weight of her torso onto his chest. 

"Elize! Babe! Wake up!" He called, slapping on her face slightly.

Her head lolled to the side, as her body started sliding away from him. 

"Elize! Shit!" He swore, readjusting her weight onto him.

He quickly opened the tap, letting the water run into the tub. Taking a handful, he splashed the water onto her face. Thankfully, this got a response from her. Elize squeezed her eyes at first, slowly opening it to look up at him innocently.

"Zack?" She asked.

"Thank the goddess!" He exclaimed, looking relieved. "Are you fine?" 

"What? Why?" She asked sitting up.

"You just-"

"Hmm?"Elize asked, clueless.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked, feeling concerned.

For a moment Elize looked at him innocently, making him wonder if what he guessed was right. He stroked the side of her face lovingly. Elize leaned in, rubbing her face against his palm like a little kitten.

With a shy smile, she said, "I'd be better if we went back to bed and.." She trailed off, looking at him expectantly.

Zack sighed in relief. It seemed like she was fine. 

"I guess you're fine." He said, getting up, "Get dressed."

"We have a problem." Zack said, looking at his pack member with eyes full of worry.

"What happened?" Nina asked, raising her brows.

Nina was the only one who he could share this particular problem with, he thought to himself.

"I think Elize is relapsing again." Zack said with a sigh.

"What?!" Nina asked, shocked.

Zack nodded, frowning. "Yeah...her wolf kinda took control of her body for a minute second in the morning."

Nina looked at him with narrowed eyes. He knew what that look meant. Yes, he knew that he had pushed his luck by taking her back to his room yesterday. He hadn't noticed it before but Elize's temper was worse now that her transformation was near. But he couldn't help himself. He wanted her next to him. And he knew that she needed it too.

"Her birthday is nearing Zack," Nina admonished, "She has hardly two days left. The transformation can happen any time now."

Zack nodded. "I know..but it kinda worries me. You know last time-"

"Last time was different Zack." Nina said, interrupting him. "Her wolf tried coming out forcibly while she was still a witch. This time, her body doesn't contain any magic."

"I'm still worried." Zack said, looking at his friend helplessly.

Nina smiled emphatically. "I can understand." She said, with a tight smile, "Just stay put and don't do anything to aggravate the situation."

"Fine. I need you to keep an eye on her today. Don't give her too much physical exercise." He said, looking around the ground.

"Sure." Nina replied.

There was still some time till the training started. A few juniors were already on the ground, standing in groups and talking to each other. He had been waiting for Elize since some time. He had dropped her off in front of the entrance in the morning, from where she had gone for her classes as per her normal schedule. He had hesitated for a moment before letting her go, but Agatha had popped up out of nowhere, teasing him about acting like a newly wed wife. He had patiently waited for half the day while both of them attended their classes. She might come anytime soon, he thought, looking longingly towards the entrance. 

"Zack!" Eun Ae called, running toward him.

"Hey Eun Ae." Zack said waving at her.

"I'll be back. I'll go pay a visit to the witches." Nina whispered, taking off towards the exit.

"Where's she going?" Eun Ae asked, coming to sit next to him.

"She'll be back." Zack said, distracted.

His mind was still on the way that Elize had looked at him in the morning. 

"Hey Zack?" Eun Ae asked.

"Hmm?" 

"Since you and Nina broke up..." She trailed off.

"What?" Zack raised his brows, turning towards her.

"Can I have a chance?" She asked, looking at him expectantly.

"What are you talking about Eun Ae?" Zack asked, looking at her like she was crazy. "You know how Jin feels about you."

"But I don't feel the same way! It's always been you!" She exclaimed, leaning towards him.

Before he could move away, she caught his arm and pulled him towards her. He lost his footing, falling on top of the girl, both of them hitting the ground with a hard force.
