103 Chapter 102: All consuming anger

Even Agatha was back to her normal self today. She had teased Elize about staying over at Zack's place. It seemed that the problem between the witch and Legolas was finally solved. All in all, it was a good day. As she stepped on to the ground, the harsh afternoon sun rays fell on her eyes, blinding her momentarily. She shielded her eyes, raising her hands above her head. The smell of forest and honey wafted towards her, making her pause for a while to appreciate it. Yes, she'd be with Zack the whole afternoon, she reminded herself happily. Her eyes searched the place for the man towards who her heart was pulling her. Spotting him on the bench under the Sycamore tree, she started walking towards him. She could see that he was deep in conversation with Nina to even notice her presence. Elize nodded mischievously. This was the perfect opportunity to sneak up on him and give him a good scare!

As she walked towards the place, she saw Nina getting up and walk towards her. As soon as the wolf noticed her, she smiled, waving at her excitedly. Elize kept her index finger on her mouth, asking her to be quiet about it. Nina nodded with a wink and in a flash was in front of her. 

"How are you feeling today?" The she-wolf asked, looking at her curiously. 

"The day is so good! I can't wait to begin practice. I'm so happy today!" Elize replied, giving her friend's arm a squeeze.

Nina chuckled. "I guess it had something to do with waking up in Zack's room." She teased.

Elize bit her lips shyly. "You know everything." She paused and looked at her friend with a curious expression. 'Wait, how do you know that? Did Zack tell you?"

"Nope. It was Jin. Apparently, Zack kicked him out of the room for you."

"Oh." Elize replied with an awkward smile, "I didn't know that they shared a room."

"He came in the morning and was quite insistent on seeing you. But Zack didn't let him in. So he came straight to me and Eun Ae to complain. And of course, Jin being Jin, the whole school knows by now."

"What?! Did he come?" She asked surprised, "Wait, does everyone know that me and Zack..?"

"No. Those two just know that some girl was with him. Also, watch out for the rumors. It has spread throughout the campus like wildfire. Don't let anyone know it's you." Nina said with a wink.

"Haha fine. I guess I'll have fun." Elize said laughing it off. So far she hadn't heard any rumors. But it would be fun watching everyone guess the identity of Zack's girl. She thought to herself mischievously. That was when she remembered that Nina was going somewhere when she had spotted her.

"Are you going somewhere?" SHe asked, cocking her head to the side,

"Yeah...I have something to discuss with Agatha." Nina said awkwardly.

"Should I be concerned about anything?" Elize asked, raising her brows.

Nina shook her head. With a smile, she said, "It's nothing serious."

"Okay fine. Tell me if there's anything I can do." Elize offered

"Sure. I'll see you in ten." She said, turning away from her. 

"I'll wait for you!" Elize called out, looking at the figure of her friend, slowly disappearing towards the other end of the ground. 

With a smile, she turned back towards the lone bench on the ground. Her smile faltered as she saw another next to her mate. Eun Ae was sitting next to Zack at rather close proximity, making her suddenly feel jealous. It took a minute for her to calm her suddenly racing heart. 

"She's just a friend. Calm down Elize. He's your mate." She whispered to herself.

Taking a deep breath, she took decisive steps towards the two. She tried not to feel bothered about it, but there was a rising anger in her that was trying to take control. Pressing on her right hand which suddenly started to shiver, she kept repeating in her mind that it was going to be okay. Suddenly she saw Eun Ae lean forward, with her hand on Zack's chest. In the next second, they both were falling down towards the grass-covered ground with Eun Ae's body pressed tightly against her mate's.

"Zack!" Elize called out in anger, stopping where she stood.

They were only ten steps away from her. Quite close, that she had seen Zack's shocked expression before he fell down. The anger in her boiled to a new extent where things suddenly started to blur. Hearing his name called out, Zack looked up towards where she stood in alarm. 

"Elize!" he exclaimed.

He struggled to stand up, quickly pushing away Eun Ae's body away from him. He looked panic-stricken, which suddenly made him appear guilty. 

"Zack, can you please help me up?" Eun Ae asked, extending her hand towards him pitifully.

Elize turned towards the girl, and without even her understanding of how it happened, she growled in warning. 

Eun Ae looked at Elize with wide eyes full of surprise with a hint of fear.

"Zack she is about to turn! Quick! Help me up!" Eun Ae pleaded.

Zack looked back and forth the two before finally offering the girl his hand. Elize couldn't stand it anymore. Without thinking for another second, she charged towards the both of them- the thirst for blood suddenly consuming her every sense. 

"Tranquillitas!" Someone shouted from behind her. 

Like a switch went off in her head, Elize stopped in her tracks, suddenly confused. Tears welled up in her eyes, threatening to fall down. 

"Elize!" Agatha called for her, suddenly appearing on her side with Nina. 

Elize looked towards them with a pitiful expression. Her heart was aching and she had no way to let it out. The spell had dissipated her anger, filling her with a pit full of sadness. 

"Hey, come here," Agatha said, pulling her into a warm hug. 

A single tear escaped her eye as she was embraced by her friend. Nina stepped forward and patted her head. 

"It's going to be fine Elize." She cooed.

Elize let out a sob, hearing that. She didn't fully understand what just happened. But She knew that she was triggered by something that she didn't want to see. 

"Thank the goddess that you guys came on time! This girl was going to attack me!" Eun Ae said, putting on a pitiful act. 

Hearing that, Elize broke away from the hug, turning towards the senior with an accusatory glare. 

"Look, Zack! She's glaring at me!" Eun Ae exclaimed, trying to grab Zack's arm.

Zack quickly moved away, leaving her with a confused expression. Eun Ae put on a childish expression, pouting like an annoyed kid.

"Wait...do you guys know each other?" She asked, looking at Zack with huge pitiful eyes.

"Well, she.." Zack paused, looking at Elize.

Elize looked away from him quickly. She knew that he was not to be blamed, but she just didn't like the fact that the same hand that touched her yesterday night in such a personal way, was used to touch some other girl- even if it were to help her up. How could he?! 

"She's my friend." Nina quickly said, sensing Zack's hesitation. 

Elize clenched her teeth, hearing the explanation. She knew that they were trying so hard to keep the secret only to keep her safe. But she wished that at that moment Zack had told the truth. 

"Ohh... I see.." Eun Ae said, regarding Elize with an annoyed look.

Elize glared back with more enthusiasm, not giving up on the stare-down. 

"Bitch." She muttered under her breath, knowing full well that she could hear her.

"Sorry, what?!" Eun Ae exclaimed, taking a step towards her. 

Elize turned to Nina, ignoring the other girl. Wiping off her tears, she said, "I think I'll sit out today. I don't feel so good."

Nina looked at her sympathetically. "Are you sure?" She asked. 

Elize nodded her head. She turned towards Agatha and said, "I wanna be alone for some time. I'll see you in the evening."

"Umm .....Legolas and I are going to the party...you wanna tag along?" The witch asked, trying to cheer her up.

"I'll see. Anyway, I'll see you later." Elize said with a blank expression. 

Without taking another look at Zack, she walked away, towards the exit. She knew who she had to find. She had to find some sort of distraction if she were going to stay sane. She could hear Eun Ae whining behind her. She could picture how she was trying to cling on to Zack without looking back to see it. It was something that she wanted to un-see. 

"Fine. Then just come to tonight's party with me please." The girl's overtly sweet voice echoed.
