Chapter 132 - 132: The Jungle's Tribespeople [Part 2]

A rather large field, surrounded by trees and spiky fences to keep away the monsters.

Countless huts made of different types of straw material and wood. rested on top of the trees around them. Some huts were connected around to one another through bridges.

Some of them were drinking water through the vines while others were busy doing their chores and tasks.

The horns on top of their heads were all simply black, it didn't have any specific colour on the top half.

At their homes, they mostly didn't wear any masks, allowing Gray to see them for who they were clearly.

However he was not able to see them as he currently had a spear placed to his neck.

Gray turned his head back, only to see a crouched down tribesperson on the branch behind him, the person held two spears and had cloth covering not only their waist but also their chests.

'A girl, huh?' Gray wondered.

The girl didn't say anything and simply stared at them through her mask. She seemed to be just as tall as Gray and was incredibly fit.

Gray could see her crimson red eyes through the mask on her face, they seemed to glow as they analysed him.

[Fast-Forward.]

The Girl reflexively swayed to the right as a result of her instinct, surprising Gray who – in an instant, had turned to her with his arm stretched out, aimed to Grab her.

[Pause Step]

Reliant on her senses, she instinctively tried to leap away as Gray's figure suddenly vanished. But it was already too late.

*Tap*

[Pause.]

Gray who had paused stepped beneath the branch and was hanging onto it, tapped her feet, quickly pausing her before she could leap away.

The current time limit for Pause without the Mark of the king active was 20 seconds.

Gray would usually stay off the fifteen mark and above however, as from that point onward the stamina consumption would multiply increasingly per every second.

However, there was no need to worry about that as Gray wouldn't need that long.

He looked up to climb up the branch and his eyes widened.

'I can see it...! I can see everything-' The thought flashed through his mind.

Within that split second and out of respect, he quickly looked back down.

Shortly after, he looked up again but this time his eyes were shut. He quickly climbed up not to waste any more time.

[Fast-Forward.]

Gray's figure completely skipped the climbing procedure and was suddenly standing on top of the branch.

'So, I can use it in ways like this too...' He thought to himself.

After he got up, he opened his eyes and looked over at Delta who had been staring at him with narrowed eyes.

"...What? It wasn't intentional and put a spear to my neck." He stated as he stared back with narrowed eyes.

When he had turned his head up, he got a perfect glimpse of what was behind inside of the cloth from beneath.

Although it truly wasn't his intention, it at least scratched out one hygienic question he had.

'Fortunately, they wear underwear.' He thought to himself.

Gray looked the tribes girl who was suspended in the air up and down with an interested gaze.

Even with the mask covering it, he could tell she was quite the looker. Long black hair, tan skin with crimson red eyes with abundant curves.

Just like Delta. The more Gray thought about it, the more he was starting to realise just how frequent his encounters with beautiful women were getting.

He also realised that he was actually starting to give these things more thought. Before he wouldn't have really cared, he just didn't want to die a virgin.

But after what happened with Aurora and then Violet, he noticed that he was changing.

Gray shook his head and decided to focus on what actually mattered.

"So, what do we do with her?" Delta asked.

"The others haven't caught onto us yet, so nothing. We try to communicate." Said Gray.

Gray raised both hands, showing that he wasn't hiding any weapons before grabbing her so that she wouldn't fall off after his unpause.

[Unpause]

Surprised, that she could finally move again, she gripped her spears tightly before stepping to the side, away from Gray.

She didn't seem to have a problem with him holding onto her. She was also less hostile, seeing as how he hadn't made any attacks.

Still, she was scared of his abilities. Although he didn't carry any weapons, her instincts warned her of how dangerous he could be in angered.

But for her people she would not back down.

"What... Do you want here...? Outsider..." She muttered.

Delta and Gray were visibly surprised. They didn't expect this sudden turn.

'So, she can speak. Does that mean she understood what I said?'

"Nothing, we were just passing by aiming to head over to the kingdom." Gray replied

Upon hearing his words, she moved closer towards him before sniffing the air to confirm something.

"Then... Leave this place before-"

Before she could finish, however, she was interrupted as an electric spear suddenly flashed by her eyes.

[Pause.]

A spear was halted in the air, just before Gray and Delta's figure.

Turning to the source, they could a tribesman in the throwing position. He had thrown the spear.

Beside him was someone with a large Viking horn on their hand.

*VOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*

The man rang the horn, the birds chirped away and Gray and Delta both felt a burst of pressure land on their backs.

The women with their children ran into the huts and shut the door whilst, one by one, more of the horned tribesmen began to appear from the surroundings.

From the top of the branches of their trees, they encircled Gray's teeth, whilst they waited for following orders.

The tribesgirl Infront of Gray, took a step towards him before turning to them and shouting some words towards them in their own language.

But they weren't buying it.

They gripped down tightly on their weapons whilst keeping their eyes glued to Gray and Delta.

The two could feel the bloodthirst, they weren't in the mood where words would get to them.

'Great..' Gray thought to himself.
