59 Chapter 59: breaking the habit 4

Ian's phone suddenly rang, and Tia's name flashed through the screen. It took a long while for him to gather his courage and answer her call.

"Hey its me. how are you? are you busy?"

Tia's sweet voice came through the line, Ian choked as he tried to hold back his sobbing. Tia could here him faintly sniffing.

"Are you okay? Did you catch a cold?"

Ian struggled but he started to cry again. The sudden burst of happiness hearing her made him cry in relief.

He already received a message from Rin Chan that she's already awake. But hearing her actual voice made him feel overjoyed.

Tia sensed that he's crying, so she got worried and asked.

"Are you crying?, were you scared.? Don't worry Im fine now."

She assured him. Despite the light-headedness that she's feeling, she seems perfectly fine.

The doctor and nurse only told her that she fainted due to stress, but the truth is they told Ian that if he were a little late she could've died of suffocation.

Ian suppressed his sobbing then with a low raspy voice he told her.

"Tian-Tian,.. . Please wait for me."

Tia was startled upon hearing him. He had called her again "Tian-Tian" that's her childhood nickname.

At first, she thought that she heard him wrong before but now she heard it clearly.

She wanted to ask him how did he know, but a doctor came and asked her to get ready for the check up.

She dismissed her thoughts then hurriedly replied.

"Alright I promise I'll wait for you. I'll get ready for the lab test now. See you later." then she hang up.

Ian wiped away his tear stricken face and looked at Charlie, there was determination in his black ink eyes.

"Let me meet your friend."

He firmly stated. If he wanted to be with Tia he needed to face his demons and get better.

He always avoided his therapist like the plague. He wasn't really a fan of psychiatrists..

He's aware of how he can't control his emotions sometimes but he believed that he was already cured and his anger issues and sadistic tendencies were just due to stress and frustrations.

He always denied the fact that he needs help.

What happened to Tia has been like a wake up call for him.
