He was holding a basket full of fruits, a get well soon balloon and a paper bag with change of clothes for Kenny.

He doesn't have anything to do since his Fan-Fan was helping out her grandpa for the birthday celebration.

So he figured he'll visit his future sister in law and Kenny.

After they went back from Amsterdam they rushed towards the hospital and he was shocked to see Kenny looking all desolated and lost.

Then they heard of what really happened at BYTE. He told Ian that he'll help him but Ian rejected his offer.

He said he'll settle things on his own and Charlie didn't insist and let him be.

He knows how prideful his friend was.

"Hello little Mei how are you?"

Charlie amiably asked and Mei Chen slowly bowed her head greeting Charlie.

She has no idea why Charlie visited her. Charlie went to Kenny and handed him the paper bag.

"It's for you.. Go take a shower how can you show yourself to her like this smelling like a used catheter."

He said in a low voice that only him and Kenny could hear.

Kenny grabbed the paper bag. Charlie turned to Mei Chen and said.

" 'Sister in law' you should have some fruits."

"Sister in law?!"

"..."

Kenny punched Charlie's stomach as soon as he heard him.

He dragged him in the corner and whispered.

"Asshole, I haven't told her yet!"

Kenny agitatedly said.

"Weak."

Charlie sneered while clenching his abdomen.

"Ahaha, he meant sister in law as Tia. Sister in law told him to come give you the fruits. Right?"

Kenny awkwardly laughed and nudged Charlie who was wincing in pain due to his punch.

"Ah yes. Of course sister in law Tia told me."

Mei Chen looked at them dubiously but thinking that they made sense she didn't think too much of it.

Kenny went inside the bathroom and washed up.

Charlie also brought him some razor and shaving cream.

" Fucker is well prepared huh. "

He scoffed. Then he used and shaved the stubbles on his face.

He looked like he had grown a few years due to stress.

After taking a shower he looked like his former gloriously handsome self.

Mei Chen immediately blushed upon seeing him coming out of the bathroom with the steam seeping out of his body.

She hurriedly bowed her head hiding her amusement.

"Hey where's Charlie?"

"He already left. He said that he just dropped by and had to ran errands for Ms. Chang."

"Oh."

"Are you alright? Do you have a fever?"

"..."

Kenny worriedly asked noticing how red Mei Chen was he thought she was running a fever.

He walked towards Mei Chen and placed his hand on her forehead.

Mei Chen's heart was beating so fast she thought that she's gonna faint.

She swatted his hands and covered herself under the sheets.

"I.. I'm feeling sleepy. Goodnight."

"...."

She exclaimed and Kenny finally understood what's happening.

He went to the couch and lay down. Hearing Mei Chen's uneven steady breathing he walked up to her.

He fixed the blanket that has already crumpled down on Mei Chen's feet.

Then he softly kissed her forehead.

"Get well soon Mei-Mei."

He whispered and went back to the couch and finally he get some sleep.
