234 Chapter 234: The guy next door 1

Mei Chen put Mimi down the box. It circled around before it settles in the pillow inside then fell asleep.

She looked at her watch and realized that it's getting pretty late.

"Hey, Let's go home. I need to prepare for tomorrow's party."

She said as she gave head scratches to the little furball. She wanted to have enough rest so she could sing properly at the event.

Although she's reluctant to perform, she had already made commitments to TP and she doesn't want to humiliate her and her sister Tia so she wanted to be in the best condition when she sings.

"Yeah, about that.. Mei-Mei, it will be bold of me to ask you this but... Would you like to live in together with me?"

Kenny carefully asked. Mei Chen gave him a incredulous looked.

"What? We haven't been on a relationship for more than 5 hours and you asked me to live with you? You're insane."

She exclaimed. She thought what he's suggesting is kinda preposterous.

She liked him, yes. But living together is a whole 'nother level. She reckoned she needs to get to know him first before jumping into that kind of relationship.

"I...."

"No."

"...."

Mei Chen flatly refused him, then she turned around and headed towards the exit.

She followed the path of candles and rose petals until she reached the door.

When she opened it, she felt something was amiss.

She felt that the hallway and the bus stop infront of the building were oddly familiar.

She turned and looked at the her right side. Her eyes went wide from shock.

She hastily went back inside and fumbled at the wall.

Her hands were trembling as she flicked the switch.

All of a sudden, the pitch dark room was illuminated and she realize where exactly they are.

They were at an apartment unit just next to her own.

"Kennedy Tan, you sly fox. Explain this to me."

Mei Chen roared making Kenny stood in fright. He slowly walked up to her.

He grabbed her hand and looked at her with puppy eyes.

"Princess don't be mad... I only wanted to be with you so I bought this unit. In this way, we could spend more time with each other, go to work together and eat and share our meals. Its okay right?"

He explained. He had bought the unit while she was still in the hospital a few days before his confession cause he knew that he would be staying at S City longer than he had initially planned.
