The truth is he planned for them to have a date on a high end restaurant with fireworks and overlooking view of S City.

But he figured that if he went all out now, there will be no room for his marriage proposal.

He chose to take Mei Chen at his apartment so he can serve her his home cooked meal.

He reckoned it's much romantic and simple knowing Mei Chen she would appreciate it more than eating in a fancy restaurant.

He had his maids arrange the room to have romantic ambiance which they had succeeded in doing so.

All along little Mei thought that they were in a some kind of private venue.

It never crossed her mind that it was an apartment unit. HIS apartment unit.

"Mei-Mei, I hope you agreed with living together with me. I mean we're not really technically "Living together". You don't have to move in with me.

I just want you to sleep here and eat here with me is that alright?"

He sincerely asked. He knew Mei Chen wouldn't easily agreed to move in with him.

But with what he's suggesting it's somewhat plausible that she would agree.

After all, she still get to keep her own place and  just "sleeping over" at his place doesn't sound absurd.

"I agree, but I would only sleep here every other day and during the weekends."

She demanded. She's kinda reluctant with the sleep over thing but then she realized that Kenny had go out of his way and rent the unit next to her.

She knew he did that just for her, and she could only do a little by compromising and agreeing to him.

Kenny smiled, he was a little disappointed that it didn't go as he planned but he was still somewhat satisfied that atleast she didn't fully rejected him.

They cuddle at the couch enjoying the sight of little Mimi licking her pinkish little paws.

"Hey, let's take a picture."

Kenny suddenly exclaimed as he pulled out his phone out of his pocket.

He wanted a remembrance to one of the  happiest days of his life.

"I'm shy."

Mei Chen coyly said as she picked up Mimi and gently stroke the little cat.

"It's fine. Look here."

He clicked the capture button and he was pleased with the result.

In the photo, he was looking gently and lovingly at Little Mei while Mei Chen was smiling at the camera holding little Mimi close to her.
