"Ho.. Hope you like our gift grandpa.. I mean General Chang."

Charlie stutteringly spoke while his father stood beside him.

Wesley's gaze shift around the room, as if searching for someone.

Grandpa Chang cleared his throat and  looked at Charlie from head to toe.

Seemingly gauging Charlie's whole person.

"we'll talk in private some other time kid."

Grandpa Chang scoffed. The father and son excuse themselves and walked towards the bar.

While the whole crowd quietly watches them as the whole encounter unfolds right before their eyes.

They couldn't hear the exchange between the old man and the Kang's.

As the Kang's left grandpa Chang another guest arrived.

It was general Li together with a young handsome man.

General Li was surprised to see Wesley Kang and Charlie inside.

'This sly fox was already on the move. Very well.'

General Li inwardly sneered. He witnessed the interaction between the lovely Chang heiress and Charlie back at the firing range and could only assume that Grandpa Chang had made his move to seal the romance between the young couple.

He went to old man Chang and greeted his rival with the young handsome man lagging behind him.

"I see some new faces here."

He scoffed and looked condescendingly at Grandpa Chang.

"Well what can I say? I became rather popular this past few days."

Grandpa Chang shrugged.

"Where's your granddaughter? Someone wanted to meet her."

General Li asked as he notice that it was only grandpa Chang's aide that's accompanying him.

"Who wants to see my fan-fan?"

"This is my nephew from the second branch. Dio Li."

General Li introduced the handsome man behind him. The man flashed a charming smile towards the old man and bowed his head as he greet him.

When general Li received the invitation, Dio was visiting him and they had talked about old general Chang.

He mentioned that general Chang have a gorgeous goddess like granddaughter which seemingly piqued Dio's interest

At first General Li was reluctant to go to the party but with Dio's persuasion he eventually wavered.

After all, if general Chang's granddaughter had taken a liking to his nephew then it will be one hell of a blow towards his rival.

But he didn't expect that old man Chang already had a trump card with the Kang's.

Indeed, he couldn't underestimate Grandpa Chang's schemes.

"Oh.. She's just around here."

Grandpa Chang nonchalantly replied.

TP was still in the corner exchanging messages with Charlie. There's a wide smile on her face as they sent each other sweet nothings.

Charlie was looking at her, he was happy yet somewhat lonely as he looked at Ian and Tia who were deeply engrossed at their own little world.

He can't help but feel envious. TP was just right there within reach.

He felt like she's so near yet she's so far.

He doesn't have the guts to walked up to her and hug her and sweep her off her feet.

As she was busy texting her beloved, she sense that someone was looking at her intently.

Not the loving stare from her boyfriend but with malicious intent.

She raised her head and her face immediately turned pale.
