247 Chapter 247: Surprise Guest 5

Mei Chen and Kenny were escorted by a maid towards a room at the back of the Banquet hall when they arrived at the Chang Mansion.

When she entered the room she was surprised to see the band hired by Elia during her sister Tia's wedding.

"You're here?!!!"

The violinist exclaimed. He was surprised to see Mei Chen looking so glamorous and like a true royalty with her dress.

Kenny was beside her and glared intently at the poor violinist.

Mei Chen rolled her eyes and greeted the band.

They asked Mei Chen for any old songs that she knows to see if they can play it with her.

After all most of the guests were retired generals and the birthday celebrant was in his 80's so they wanted to make sure that they could entertain them with their own music era.

Fortunately, Mei Chen could sing a few songs from the old times.

She used to sing it with her grandpa when she was just a kid.

They rehearsed a little and after they are confident with their rendition they started setting up at the Banquet hall.

When Mei Chen started singing everyone were shocked to hear her angelic voice.

Even Elia who had heard her still gets goosebumps whenever she hears Mei Chen sings.

She reckoned she really needs to signed the girl and  helped her towards her stardom.

Wesley Kang sits at the bar solemnly swirling the glass in his palm.

Most of the guests wanted to curry favor with him but no one dared to approach him.

Suddenly he heard a man teasingly spoke at his side.

"Too bad eh? She's not around. Better luck next time loser."

Ethan Lee mockingly said. Elia heard him and had already figured out why her husband was insisting on them to go to the party.

"This petty bastard."

Elia sneered. Ethan just laughed at both of them. It's been a long time since the three of them had met and so they started to catch up.

Everyone was looking their way as the three of them jeered at each other.

Its like they have their invisible bubble around them that no one can enter.

Tia on the other hand was busy trying to pacify Ian.

He had been on a tense stance as some of the guests were looking at Tia.

He wanted to gouge their eyes to stop them from staring at his wife.

He wanted to go home and just be alone with her.

Tia tried to look for TP, then she notice her walking out of the banquet hall and then Charlie followed suit.

She figured that they had decided to meet outside and sneak away from the party.

So she decided to stay back and not disturb her best friend.
