257 Chapter 257: A star is born 1

Kenny was just finishing administering sedative to TP when Ivy entered the room.

"Fan-Fan!"

Ivy gasped as she ran to her daughter's side. Kenny explained that he had just given her medication for her to calm down and relax.

He also had told her that TP's vitals were all normal and that she only needs to rest.

"Auntie, Im sorry.. I..."

Tia went up to her Auntie Ivy to explain why she lied but Ivy cut her off.

"It's alright Tian-Tian, You don't need to worry. Please do me a favor. Keep my father entertain so that he won't suspect anything. I don't want him to find out."

Ivy said. She doesn't want to ruin her father's special day. So she asked Tia to stall the old man for a bit.

Tia together with Kenny and Mei Chen went back to the banquet hall. Tia introduced Mei Chen and Kenny to Grandpa Chang.

Mei Chen felt that she needed to do something so she decided to went up on stage and started performing.

Her singing voice was so soothing that all of the guests have diverted their attention towards her.

"Who's that girl. She really have a great voice. I wonder which label she was signed on?"

Elia who was talking to one of her acquaintance heard the guests being curious about Mei Chen.

She really can't deny the fact that little Mei was so talented in singing, and it would be such a waste if she's just cooped up on their company.

After Mei Chen's performance she walked up to her.

"Mei-Mei, darling. Care to have a word with me?"

She asked. Mei Chen gulped down hearing the madam of the Lee household calling her out.

She obediently followed Elia outside in the quite garden.

"Say, you're working at BYTE right?"

"En."

"that's good. So since I'm your boss' boss. Im gonna task you to be the lead singer for our new game launch."

"Mmmadam. I..."

"Nope. You can't argue. I'll have my son arrange everything for you. That's all."

Elia said as she languidly walked out of the garden.

She had decided to place Mei Chen as their game's songstress as a stepping stone for her stardom.

She figured if little Mei had exposures in their game then she's one step away for being well known.

Mei Chen stared blankly at the bright full moon, contemplating of the sudden events thats happening in her life when Kenny hugged her from behind.
