Kenny finally noticed Eddie standing not too far from them.

"Oh, hey pops. This is my girlfriend. The one that I'm telling you about."

Kenny unknowingly exclaimed. He was so happy that he failed to see the disnterested look in Eddie's face.

"Care to explain?..."

Eddie inquiringly asked as he looked at his daughter while stroking little Mimi in his palm.

"Ah.. Ermm.....dad.... He's my.. Bbbboyfriend."

Mei Chen stutteringly replied as she close her eyes shut, afraid that her dad would scold her.

She was so embarrassed that she acted on impulse and kissed Kenny infront of her father.

She wanted to find a hole and bury herself.

After hearing what Mei Chen had said, Kenny immediately knelt down and kowtow infront of Eddie.

Eddie on the other hand wasn't angry or anything, in fact he was happy that his daughter was going out with Kenny.

He always believed that Kenny is a good catch, and was glad that his Mei Chen was in good hands.

But seeing Kenny acting like a fool infront of him, he was entertained that he didn't stop the poor kid.

Suddenly a man walked up to them. It was Robbie who had just arrived from a lecture in X city university.

"Uncle...you know each other? And what do you mean viral?"

Kenny stopped his kowtowing and stood up. Since he's phone and his laptop was confiscated by his uncle he's not aware of his girlfriend's sudden stardom.

"Eh, of course I know her, she's the one who admitted Eddie in the facility."

Robbie explained which baffles Kenny even more.

"You mean you're using your phone the entire time?!!"

"Of course I do, I'm not part of the program..."

Robbie nonchalantly exclaimed. Kenny can only gritted his teeth in anger. He can't believed that his uncle had played him.

He surrendered his phone thinking that Robbie would also participate in the no gadget project.

"Let me see..."

Kenny said aiming to snatch the phone away from his uncle, but Robbie has fast reflex and effortlessly dodged him.

"Well I came here to show it to my patient. If you have nothing else to do leave us."

Robbie said and handed the phone to Eddie. Eddie excitedly watched the video, Kenny stopped on his whining when he heard Mei Chen's voice.

The song was familiar to him since he was also in that event, watching quietly at his princess as she performs on stage.

He turned and looked at Mei Chen. Little Mei told him about her contract with Elia's group.

Eddie on the other hand can't help but wept. It was so surreal for him to hear his daughter's voice for the first time in a long while.

He walked towards his daughter and hugged her tight.

"I'm so proud of you."

He said. Tears started to ran down both their faces. Memories of their painful past flashed through their minds.

They have come so far since that dark times, and hearing his daughter finally able to sing infront of others again only shows that she had finally moved on.

And Eddie had vowed that he would do his best to overcome his demons too.
