153 Time To Move Out: Part 32

Friday, 23th of May 2021. Student Council Room. 1100 Hours. Nathan and Laura.

In the student council room, the two of them met Brendon again. Brendon had called them multiple times due to the whole class absence during the school festival. Nathan didn't come since his argument remains. He still thought that the school festival was just a tradition from the school, not a regulation. He had no responsibility to come to that event since it didn't affect their grades either.

"No, I don't want to pay 100$ just for the sake of not entering," Nathan protested.

"That's the consequences, Nathan," Brendon said.

Any people would have known that two of them weren't in a good position to argue. The room was filled with sicarios that could kill them in any way they could imagine. Brendon wouldn't be standing down either since he had his sicario team in that room.

"No, I won't pay for it. End of the story." Nathan stood up from the chair and he immediately left the council room. Laura followed him from behind. The member of the student council didn't like the idea of Nathan leaving without any warning.

"That's it, I'm done with you. Get ready for the consequences," Brendon said.

Nathan just smirked at him. "So what?" He walked outside of that room and Laura glared at one of the bodyguards inside that room. Laura's face had reddened, getting out of that place was a wise decision since Laura could start another rampage if they stayed there.

They walked back to their classroom. Inside of that classroom, there were only a few people remain. Lynn and Patrick were playing chest while Alex was busy coding on his laptop.

"Check," Patrick moved his horse.

Lynn moved her king and Patrick did a move that was unexpected. He beat Lynn in that game of chess. "You should have known that's a decoy, hahaha."

"Whatever, I owe you a cup of coffee right?" Lynn asked.

"Well, let's go to the grocery store. You'll appreciate that decision," Patrick said.

Nathan approached Alex and saw many dots, periods, and all other things that he didn't understand. He knew that Alex made a program to hack something, but he still had no idea about the purpose of that program since he hadn't told the function.

Lynn packed her bag and Nathan approached Patrick. He asked Patrick about the results of his small-time operation with Lynn. Patrick must have gathered a lot of things with her.

"Yeah, it's on my laptop. Do you want to see it?" Patrick opened his bag again and grabbed his laptop. He turned on the laptop and opened a PowerPoint presentation. It was a very good presentation with many pictures of Brendon and the other council members. They were gathering in an abandoned building beside a dead body.

"Hmm, we'll strike them down soon. When do you want it?" Patrick asked.

"I see. I'll make a strike plan. By the way, can we leave now?" Patrick asked. Lynn had already been waiting in the door of that classroom.

Nathan nodded and Patrick put his laptop back inside of his bag. He walked to Lynn and both of them left the classroom.

As they were walking in the hallway, Lynn asked Patrick something. It was a question about Clara.

"Clara has changed, hasn't she?" Lynn asked.

"Yeah, she's more cheerful and less eerie nowadays. Money could buy her happiness, my decision wasn't wrong after all," Patrick said.

They walked to the gate of the school. The street in front of the school was almost empty from vehicles. There was almost no vehicle on the street of the capital nowadays. It was mainly due to the fact that the capital was always attacked by the rebels nowadays. The massive protest was no more since the military had put the protest down by force.

The outskirts of the capital were still empty from a building. The only thing that could be seen were an empty lot and grass field as far as the eyes could see. The grocery store wasn't that far from that school. It was located in a small residential area near the school itself.

They had arrived at the grocery store. They entered the store. A lot of items were sold there. Lynn brought instant food that could be cooked in the microwave inside that grocery store while Patrick bought a can of cold coffee and a cup of instant noodles.

They went to the cashier and paid for that food. There was a table and chairs inside that grocery store. They decided to eat inside that grocery store. Patrick poured hot water into the instant noodles and he sat down on a chair. Lynn put the frozen meal inside the microwave and she waited in front of the microwave.

Patrick opened his laptop and checked for an e-mail. Marinka had another job for him and it was an easy job. They only had to rescue a VIP from the capital. It was an easy job and both of them planned to do it after they had eaten their lunch.

Lynn went back from heating up the frozen food. She sat down in front of Patrick and opened the packaging. The frozen food was a meat stew, but the meat tasted like a cardboard box.

"There's one thing I hate, and that's a shitty frozen meal," Lynn said.

"Hahaha, just make one yourself. I think SDC can make a better one for you," Patrick said.

"Haha, yeah." Lynn continued eating her frozen meal and Patrick ate his instant noodles.

Patrick plugged his PDA into his laptop and he immediately got a new notification. It was a new mission from Marinka.

[VIP Extraction]

A sleeper agent was under surveillance from your government. If he's captured, the Russian Federation would be blamed for it. I want you to rescue him, make sure that you don't kill anyone. This is a no trace mission, you must not be traced by the government.

I don't authorize the use of weaponry of any kind. You must rescue her without hurting anyone. Good luck.

Rewards: [20,000$] [FSB Reputation +++]

"What's the job?" Lynn asked.

"A mission where we can't use any of our weapons. Basically, it's a full-blown stealth mission with a lot of covert aspects," Patrick said.

"I see, not a good sign. Might as well go there without any preparation,' Lynn said.

Patrick showed the location of that VIP. He was hiding inside an apartment building in the middle of the capital. Patrick and Lynn suspected that every bit of his equipment could be tapped. He needed to get out of that place without anything with him with the exception of his clothing.

"Dressing up with a school uniform should not hurt," Patrick said.

"Too risky. We have to make sure that we aren't traceable," Lynn said.

"Hmph, so as usual? Flannel shirt and cargo pants with a medical mask?" Patrick gave his idea.

"Yeah, that seems to be a good idea," Lynn said as she finished her meal.

Both of them walked outside of that grocery store and Patrick spawned his car. He entered the driver seat and Lynn entered the backseat. Patrick turned on the car and hit the gas as hard as he could. He wanted to drive past any roadblocks.

They drove into the heart of the capital where security was high and the chance of them getting shot was higher than Iraq. Their destination, the apartment building, was located right beside a military checkpoint.

Patrick parked his car in the parking lot inside of that apartment building and he got out of the car in different clothing.

"12th Floor. Room 237," Patrick said.

They walked to the lift that was located in the corner of that parking lot. Lynn pressed the button of the lift and the lift went down.

"Let's enter the lift," Lynn entered that lift and pressed the 12th-floor button. The lift took them upstairs where they had to find the unknown VIP that was under heavy surveillance from the government agency.

As they were walking in the hallway of the apartment, they were hearing multiple voices coming out of the room. Most of the voices were coming out from the television or people having a conversation inside their own room.

Once they found the room, they knocked on the door of that room. The owner opened the door, he looked paranoid. He might have several visits from the government agents and was asked many questions.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"Can I come in?" Patrick asked.

The owner let them in and Patrick sat down on a nearby couch. He checked the nearby window to see whether there was anyone observing them. It turned out that there was a person observing them from afar. It was the government agent, they were looking at them from afar.

"We've to get out of here ASAP."
