193 Why I Became A Contractor: Part 30

I sat down in the comfortable driver's seat of the chevy. I wore casual clothes. The window of the car was tinted so dark that almost no light could enter into the car. The vision from the car was still good though. I was lurking in the park since I was bored in the bunker. There wasn't anything worthwhile to be done.

The park was filled with children and their parents. Both of them were enjoying their weekend in that park. I wished... This wasn't my condition. The children. I wish I were them, playing around in the park with their peers. It was not a childish thing, but I just missed the warmth of normal life.

I just simply couldn't believe that my revenge had brought me this far. I dug a grave for Sissy and the others, but instead, I just found more traps and poisonous snakes on the ground. That was the visualization of this situation, it just got more complicated. I felt that what I had been discovering was the tip of the iceberg between the conspiracies between the government and the Ambrosia cartel.

I want to sit down on the benches on that park, talking with the others about the weather or something, but well, here I was, sitting in a car that resembled a car of the federal agent with a bulletproof vest and a pistol in my hand. In the passenger car, there was a donut and a glass of coffee that I hadn't opened yet.

Those things were my breakfast. I grabbed those things and started eating since I was hungry. Aline didn't cook this morning since she was still asleep from a midnight operation between her and the others. Well, it was not like I could wake her up either. So I ate that donut and got filled with it.

I was in that park not for sightseeing. I was there to observe Farl and his movements. Yes, Farl was in that park together with his sicario which number was unknown but would be enough to kill me If I am found to be alive. It was not a great thing to do, but I was too curious about him and his gang.

There was a meeting with the bosses in this park and all of them would be coming here at 1030 hours. If the intel that Kilo and X-ray gave was reliable, the bosses would be coming to the park with their car and their bodyguards. According to the intel, the highest-ranking member of the Ambrosia cartel would come inside of a Mercedez Benz S-Class with the plate of K 2912 LK.

That was the plate of the car that the boss's had. I just had to wait and use the binocular on the meeting to look at them and hear what they were saying. Six different sedans were coming from one direction. Those sedans were filled with sicarios. They got out of the Sedan with their weaponry and told every single person that wasn't affiliated with the Ambrosia cartel to get out.

I called off that reconnaissance mission and drove away from that park. I drove back to the bunker since it was the only place where I could rest without worrying about being assassinated. The fact that the sicarios didn't recognize me was quite soothing considering that they could open fire at that time and killed me.

The parking garage was empty as usual. I put the car on top of a designated spot and the spot went down, revealing the secret entrance to the bunker. I drove to the parking lot of that bunker and that hidden ramp went up again. I saw Aline was standing in front of the main door into the bunker.

She looked so pissed. It was probably since I borrowed her car without her permission. She crossed her hands and approached me as I parked my car.

She didn't even hesitate to open the car door while the car was moving. "Leave." Aline switched to her combat loadout. I complied and stopped the car. I got out of the car and Aline moved to the driving seat of the car. After that, she drove away back into the ramp, leaving me in the bunker alone.

'Well, alone. Again.' I walked to the main door of the bunker and something was odd. It seemed to me that someone was cleaning up the room in rush. There was a bucket, a broom, and a mop. It looked like that Aline had to leave the bunker before her cleaning day even finished.

Well, I thought that cleaning the bunker would be a good repayment. I grabbed all of those cleaning tools and went to clean all of the bunkers. My first stop was the cafeteria where the food was always served, but the junk would always be readily available.

There was some leftover grease in that stove so I cleaned it up using the special chemical that was inside of the bucket. The way of using it was simple, you just had to heat the stove first and poured the chemicals into the grill pan.

It would clean all of the burn marks in the grill pan and all I had to do was to store the unclean residue into the grease storage. I used a squeegee to wipe the stove off and clean it up with some extra help from the microfiber sponge inside of the bucket.

The next destination I was going to clean was the armory. I went to the armory and noticed that the bullet casings were everywhere. They were probably coming from the boxes that had been torn apart by someone that needed that ammo as fast as they could. It seemed that someone tried to steal all of that ammunition, but got caught. One thing for sure, it wasn't Aline.

I grabbed all of the bullets and grabbed some empty magazines in the rack of that armory. I loaded the magazines with the ammunition that was in the ground. That ammunition alone was more than enough to fill six 75-rounds RPK drum magazine.

I also rearranged the rifles to make sure that it was neat to be seen. I didn't think that Aline hadn't cleaned the laundry room yet since it was located near the front door where the cleaning appliances were found. I put those things away and I went into my bed.

Suddenly, as I walked back to my room, I got a message from Aline that told me to get to a location as quickly as I could. She also reminded me to wear heavy combat loadout since this operation would be hard.

I acknowledged her order and ran to the parking lot to get my motorbike. Aline had sent the coordinates of the location to the Armory System, I just had to go there and do anything that they told me to do.

I put the MG5 on my back and started the engine of my motorcycle. I put the gas of the motorcycle to full and got out of the bunker quickly. The bunker was left alone without any of its inhabitants.

The coordinates were located in the middle of the town and it wasn't the weapon shipment either, so what was it?

Nevertheless, it didn't take too long to arrive at the destination. The destination was an empty parking lot where all of the cars of the contractors were parked. There were Echo with the others waiting to formulate a plan with me.

I joined the discussions. There were debates on how to reach the top of the skyscraper without dying in the process. Their target this time was so difficult since it requires six contractors at once. Sierra, Echo, Aline, Bravo, Alpha, and I were formulating the entry point of the building. There would be a blind spot in the security of that building, but he needed to find it out first.

Nathan looked at the blueprint of the building and found a blind spot. The blind spot was a door located right in front of the electrical room that would lead to the skyscraper without alerting the target. The echo would be the one who interferes with the signal by planting something into the electrical room.

Aline and I would go to the top floor via the elevator to take care of the target. It sounds very simple, but it would be hard to practice. However, we were sure that we could do this job quite easily.

"Mission Start." We ran into the apartment building with our tools.
