206 Ambrosia Cartel: Part 13

The inside of the logistic platform was cozy as usual. People were walking while carrying boxes or any container that was laying down on its designated area. The logistics team's job was to transport any combat-critical items to the battlefield or to transport any cargo into another region on Earth based on the assignment.

Patrick walked inside of the logistic platform with Lynn following him from behind. Those two people wanted to check Blackjack and Spongebob's living quarters. Patrick and Lynn didn't have any idea why a CIA agent contractor was named from a childhood cartoon. Well, that's CIA for you, they were always unpredictable. They hoped that nobody had known the nickname beside them since it would be quite a laugh for the personnel of HSDC.

The logistic platform itself was separated into many sections. The section they were in was the section for servicing planes and fighter jets. It was evident by the massive amount of spare parts that were in that place. Most of the personnel there were either fixing a plane or moving containers. Patrick went for the next hallway that would lead them to the living quarter section.

The hallway inside of that logistic platform was filled with pipes and many emergency tools for firefighting. Well, any fire inside of the platform would be a nightmare since it would be hard to extinguish the fire in an enclosed fire inside of the platform.

There were several people training to fight a fire inside of the hallway, and thus, the hallway was closed at that moment. They needed to take another route to get to the living quarter. As they walked, they realized that the people inside of that base were not that busy. Although they were carrying that many boxes, they were doing it efficiently with the help of heavy tools like a forklift or a semi-truck.

Well, the logistic platform was big so a truck would be more effective in moving one cargo from one place to another. It didn't take long until they decided that using a car to go to the living quarter was more efficient. The reason why Lynn took those two bodyguards on foot was that it was deemed unnecessary for them to receive VIP treatment from Lynn.

Lynn grabbed her PDA and spawned her expensive car. As usual, Patrick became the driver of that car. He entered the car and Lynn entered the backseat. "It's been more than a month since I drove this car for the last time," Patrick commented.

"Yeah, the last time was the school graduation ceremony isn't it?" Lynn said.

"Yeah. It will be nice if we can return to our former country once in a while," Patrick said.

"Maybe Nathan will deploy us there once there was enough conflict there," Lynn said.

Patrick drove through the road of the lower deck of the logistic platform. There were several trucks on the road that were carrying guns and weaponry to be delivered to a conflict zone by the aircraft. Those guns and weaponry were produced by the manufacturing platform that was located right next to the logistic platform. That weaponry made them around ten million dollars each day. It was no wonder for the HSDC to be prosperous due to the ability to discount any new military hardware by 90%.

There were several patrolling cars that were using MRAP for their patrol. Their equipment was on par if not better than the United States equipment. They were using the ballistic vest and expensive military hardware like the HK416 and SCAR rifles.

It took them three minutes to arrive at the living section of the logistic base. The living section was the place where the personnel of the logistic platform took a break or took asleep. There was a parking lot in front of the giant door that led to the hallway of the living section. The giant door was similar to a safe door.

Patrick parked his car. He turned off the engine and they got out of the car. They entered the hallway that led to the rooms inside of the living quarter. The living quarter consisted of a hallway that filled with many doors that would let to each personnel room. That personnel lived inside of each room. A room was big enough to support at least one small family consisted of a father, a mother, a child, and another child.

Any newborn would be educated by the HSDC and would be turned into another member of the HSDC. It was the regulation that Nathan made and every single member of the HSDC must follow it. Well, it was a good regulation since Nathan couldn't afford them to be studying inside of the Harvard university unless they were talented enough to join the R\u0026D team. But well, working in R\u0026D wouldn't give them more salary than those who were working in the medical platform.

According to Lynn, those agents were placed in room number 234. That room was located on the second floor of the living section. They could take a stair to go to the second floor. The lift could be used, but it was unnecessary since they were only placed on the second floor, not the tenth floor. They went for the staircases at the end of the hallway of that living quarter. There were around one hundred rooms inside of each platform. There was around 10,000 active personnel on that logistic platform. You could easily figure out how many rooms there were inside of the logistic platform living section only.

Patrick walked again to the end of the other hallway where the room was located. The room was opened. The metallic door that would automatically slide was opened when they arrived at the room. Patrick suspected that the door had some issues.

However, as they arrived at the room, Lynn and Patrick saw those two bodyguards that the CIA rent for herring was tied down to a chair. Not stopping there, there was blood all over the floor. There were six people inside the room. If you looked at the insignia that was placed on the left hand of each personnel, they were from the intelligence platform.

It was not a good situation, if Herring saw this, he would immediately think that HSDC was intentionally tortured a US's ally and thus declaring HSDC as one of the terrorist organization in the world. It was a very very bad situation considering that one of them was holding a very large pipe wrench that was drenched in blood.

"WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR?" One of them slapped their face with the pipe wrench.

"WHO SENT YOU?" One of them kicked the chair into the ground.

However, one of those intel team members saw Patrick and he approached them with something in his hand. That something was a bug that could record video and audio. They were trying to tap into the communication system of HSDC.

"Anything else?" Patrick asked.

One of them showed Patrick and Lynn a picture of those two heading for the restricted area where the servers were placed. Those two bodyguards were entering that room sneakily. It was not a good sign since only the intel team members were allowed to enter the server room without being caught for disrespecting orders. However, it was clear that those CIA bodyguards didn't have any friendly intentions at all.

However, Patrick also suspected that the CIA wasn't behind all of this since one of the interrogators explained that the signals were sent into the deep part of the Amazon forest. Well, it was not a surprise if what Stacy told them was right. They were working under the Ambrosia cartel which was operating in Latin America.

"Bring them to intel platform," Lynn ordered.

"Make sure our guests don't see them," Patrick said.

"Yes, commander," they said.

One of them put a cover to their head to cover their face. They were taken to the Intel platform using a semi-truck that the intelligence personnel had inside of the logistic platform. Those two people were thrown at the back of the semi-truck and both Patrick and Lynn were left in the room for further investigation.

They carefully remove the clothes that the bodyguards bought inside of their suitcases. There might be an item of interest in there. Patrick put the clothes away one by one to search for any suspicious thing. There were several grenades inside of that suitcase alongside a few tear gasses. However, there was one thing that caught his attention. There was a white packaging, with the Ambrosia cartel logo inside of the suitcase. It was obvious by now.

"Lynn, call Stacy."
