229 Ambrosia Cartel: Part 36

Gearing up was a crucial part of an operation and the commanders were also included in that operation. Well, the operation to storm the bunker which they had bombed to oblivion. Inside of the armory, multiple special-forces personnel were dressing up in their combat gear.

Patrick and Lynn were the part of the combat team that would be gone to storm into the bunker. In normal condition, there was no reason for the commanders to take part in a combat operation unless there was something special. Of course, Patrick was wearing something special for this operation, it was his standard issue railgun.

He would also used his Pecheneg to ensure that he could give them a punishment. Well, it was his duty as a commander to get the job done. Those weapons seemed to be an overkill, but in his mind, it was very necessary for the mission success. Lynn also carried a railgun alongside of her SCAR-H. The other operators also carried the same loadout more or less.

They were going to storm into the hole that the fighter jet had made for them to enter the bunker where Farl was hiding. Nobody knew that Farl was hiding there. The only think those operators knew was the target name was Mr.F. Lynn didn't suspect anything weird either. However, she was also unsure on what the motivation of participating in that military operation.

As far as she could conclude, it was a very dangerous mission that required them to be present inside of that operation which was nicknamed "Undershaft". It was simply the truth about the operation. It was a bunker that was built in an abandoned mine. The team was consisted of 40 spec-ops members whose duty was to clear the whole bunker from hostile.

It wasn't a drug factory, so it would not be destroyed by the a mere explosion. However, if Farl was kept alive, it would be a big problem for Patrick and an even more complicated problem for Lynn since the one who she thought had been dead for a very long time was alive and well and was living in the middle of the forest in Panama.

Well, it was time for the operation and they had packed all of the ammunition into their pockets. They were also had backpack in their bag in case of the bunker was too big to be explored in a day. Air reconeissance would be flying 24/7 in that place and it would trank any movement in the radius of one hundred kilometers from the base.

"Delta, ready for one more action?"

"Of course, I'm always ready for some action," Patrick answered Lynn.

She dressed just like the first time they met. She wore the woodland combat uniform with a skull balaclava. Patrick also dressed in the same way and so did the other member of the Delta team.

Baseplate: "Delta team. Eagle is standing by on LZ."

Patrick: "Delta 1 copy. Alright, let's go Delta team."

For a second, the whole team might be thinking why they would accept a commander that was as young as Patrick and the others. Well, it was quite simple, they were competent enough to be called their commanders and everyone would agree with that statement. Especially Lynn, she had lived for some quite reputation among the woman inside of the base to the point where she was called one of the lead in the whole female combat detachment.

Well, Lima team consisted of female combat personnel so there was no surprise there and Patrick was stuck between the muscular and bulky men. However, most of them were bringing a far heavier weaponry from Lima team.

Delta team carried at least a battle rifle where Lima team carried at least a PDW which was very small in comparison to the full length machine gun that some of the Delta team had brought. Of course, they would be the one who protect Lima team from behind.

The whole combat team got out of the armory and they walked into the two helicopters which had been waiting for them. Those two helicopters would also act as the gunships for those two teams that would be attacking the bunker which was hidden among the foresty. The hole that was made by the bombers would be their only way in since the entrance had been destroyed completely.

Patrick wouldn't blame the bombers either since it was their duty to bomb the place to oblivion. If that place wasn't bomber, Farl would escape from the bunker and the mission would be a total failure. They were there only as a cleanup team for that bunker.

Waiting for Farl to die because of natural cause was also a good idea, but they didn't want to take the risk of Farl escaping from that pile of rubbles. They must go inside to check on the condition of that bunker.

"Delta team, welcome aboard," The pilot of that helicopter said as the Delta team entered the helicopter one by one. Their bulky weaponry filled the helicopter to the brim, but it wasn't a big deal since Patrick didn't mind too much about it.

The helicopter flew above the ground and headed for the hole that the bombers had made earlier. There was smoke coming out of the crater which the bomber had made. Patrick had guessed that the hole must be big enough for them to enter.

As they flew closer to the crater, Patrick finally had the idea of that crater. It was as big as it could get due to the massive amount of bombing that happened. The bunker revealed many facilities inside and it was trully an underground mansion that was made for the ultimate ringleader. Farl could be that ringleader, but Patrick wasn't sure about that since Farl was only barely older than him.

The helicopter hovered above of that crater and the whole team rappelled down from the helicopter. There had been another batalyon of special forces waiting for them. Some of them had entered the bunker since they were the first responder for any operation. However, they had some difficulties since they met quite a resistance inside of that bunker.

Patrick arrived at the floor of the rubble and red light was flashing everywhere. The bunker was under its emergency lockdown and it was sure as hell more difficult to enter than it was. Patrick expected to see some elevators, but he didn't find any. His team didn't find anything yet either.

Several members of the special force division of HSDC were waiting in the first floor of the bunker. Some of them were smoking and taking a break while the others were injured. Patrick asked one of them for the location of the elevator.

"Where is the elevator?"

"From here, turn left, there should be an elevator that led to the second floor. Be careful, we met some heavy resistance there, this place is packed like a fortress." The man said as he pressed a bandage firmly in a hole on his foot.

Patrick and the others moved towards the elevator. It would take a while before the elevator arrived at their floor and there was no guarantee that the elevator would be safe either since the place had been shaken down by the bombs multiple times.

Delta team waited in front of the elevator while Lima was going for the emergency stair. Patrick preferred the elevator since he would need an instant access to the deeper parts of the bunker without meeting much resistance.

As soon as the elevator door opened. Patrick and the others was surprised to see the elevator had gone. Yeah, it was cut off, and only the door was opened. However, Patrick also noticed that the elevator had been disabled by the HSDC and it became unfunctional. There was no elevator there. The only was to go down was to rappel and it would take a while.

Lucky for them, a grappling point had been made by the previous detachment and Patrick just had to use the rope that had been attached to the bottom of the elevator. Patrick went down first, he attached the special tool to descend down to the rope and he rappelled down through the elevator shaft.

Patrick went down to the bottom floor and the rest of the Delta team followed him from above. The elevator only led to the second floor. Patrick opened a hatch and he gained access to the second floor. In there, the real battle begun.
