Chapter 226: You are...WHAT?

'Why is suddenly everyone appearing and asking for me?' Shane began to wonder when he saw how suddenly Aisha had shown up out of nowhere.

She shouldn't even know that he had returned to Igra and was in the colosseum. He saw Aimy and Aisha exchange furtive glances and wondered what silent communication passed between them.

Aimy's eyes had no hints of nervousness or the worship that he had seen several weeks ago for Aisha. It was as if their relationship had progressed beyond the earlier bond of a mentor and a disciple.

Eyeing both of them, Shane couldn't help but say,

"We should probably head towards a quieter and peaceful place, away from the onlookers, if we are done with people cropping up." He added the last part of the line teasing Aisha and continued, "What I have to say is pretty important and I don't want strangers to hear it, otherwise, new rumors might spread.

And these rumors wouldn't be like the stupid and brainless ones that already exist."

Hearing this, the three young women couldn't help but eye him weirdly as Olivia naively said

"So you mean that rumors saying that you're a womanizer are stupid and brainless...huh? But...aren't you mostly interacting with women? I think Leon Ra is the only guy you're interacting with and there are other rumors about you two being a couple too."

Shane frowned when he heard Olivia. However, he had to acknowledge that his interactions with other guys were limited and his three roommates were definitely not taken into account!

They were probably the reason for most rumors to spread throughout the whole academy like wildfire in the first place!

Sighing deeply, Shane could only ignore everyone around him as he walked into the changing room, not waiting to hear their response to his suggestion.

One minute later he had changed his clothes and left the small cabin. He saw Aimy and Aisha waiting for him outside while Olivia stepped out of an adjacent cabin after changing into a fresh set of clothes as well to join them.

After that, they left the colosseum and Aisha led them to a dorm which the Valkyrie's normally used. They entered a small office and Aisha proudly added,

"That's the office I received after becoming a teacher at the Shirai academy. Nobody should bother us here."

Shane nodded his head and waited for Aisha to ask what she had been curious about earlier. He was well aware of the fact that she wouldn't have searched for him otherwise.

At least, that was what Shane thought, but more than two minutes passed and he couldn't wait anymore,

"Didn't you want to ask something? My part should take longer.."

Aisha who had waited for Shane to speak up first answered with an "Oh" unsure of what to ask first.

"I don't know if this is about you, but I heard a few rumors in the group chat of prodigies I'm a member of, saying that there was someone trying to procure lots of information about a certain extinct beast.

Through that, some of the higher authorities seemed to have become curious about this certain someone which I predict to be you! Well...that's not the important point, but rather the fact that those higher authorities told their descendants that this person was even said to have visited the planet of another race! I don't want to sound intrusive, but are you this person, and is it true that you visited the planet of another race??"

Shane saw that Aisha's eyes were gleaming in curiosity which told him that she was interested in visiting different planets as well.

However, he couldn't help but mumble, "How did these authorities find that out? Shouldn't that be a top-secret within my family.."

He had been loud enough for the eyes of all the three girls widened in shock upon hearing him. He could see them getting ready to bombard him with questions so he tried to tackle the wave by stating the truth.

"I am this 'someone' and I visited the origin planet of another race a few weeks ago. But, let me explain everything from the beginning."

With that, Shane began to explain everything, starting from the moment he had acquired the world seed after their group's expedition to the elemental crystal cave had ended.

He felt exhausted explaining the stuff about his world seed and blossomed worlds twice in a single day because the sheer amount of information was enough to fry one's brain.

However, the second time Shane explained everything, he didn't commit the same mistakes as he had with Talia and knew the precise words to convey his thoughts.

This allowed the three girls to understand the situation Shane had been in during the last few months.

Additionally, it allowed Aimy and Olivia to understand that Shane was not only from an influential background but that everything was far more complex than they had initially estimated.

He didn't reveal facts that could confuse someone else, such as his taming skill, even if he would have left out that it was an innate skill.

Furthermore, he also divulged the secret of how he had been able to allow the world seed to blossom. This made the two oblivious girls think yet again that Shane didn't hail from an ordinary family.

Aimy and Olivia were unable to understand everything at once, but they slowly got the hang of everything as they listened to him intently.

An hour later, Shane finished his explanation that sounded more like a fairy tale to the girls. He hoped his short speech had been interesting enough for Aimy and Olivia to join the small faction that he wanted to build.

In the end, he invited them to become a part of the faction while highlighting the fact that both combat and non-combat-oriented occupations were welcome in his faction and equally important.

The invitation got accidentally ignored by Aimy and Olivia because they were astonished about something else, while even Aisha had to think about it for a moment.

According to what Aimy and Olivia had been taught, non-combat-oriented occupations except the blacksmith, alchemist, and runemaster were less important than combat-oriented occupations, which was the reason for them to be surprised by Shane's words.

He labeled both as equally important and even Aisha who normally found him to be wise, couldn't completely agree with his perspective.

Though after going over the facts stated by him once again, Aisha could acknowledge that Shane's vision was probably right and that she was probably in the wrong.

Shane had several more ideas popping in his head since he heard that Talia's friends included an architect, two craftsmen and that she, as an administrator, was great at managing things. Though his mind was brimming with ideas he knew that executing them would require lots of funds, which he didn't have.

As such, the most important step was to build a large farm and procure funds before he could work on the next few steps which were to awaken his world's mana heart!

He was deep in thought when suddenly Aisha asked something he didn't expect,

"You said that everyone was there to help you with the high mana demand your world seed had, right? But hasn't the president been inside a new advanced dimension for more than a month now?"

When Aisha finished her questions, she suddenly stiffened after seeing Shane's cold eyes glaring at her.

'What's wrong?' she only thought until she realised that both Aimy and Olivia weren't aware of Shane's real identity.

That was at least until now, which caused her to apologize quickly before she regained her composure again.

"What about the president? Do you know John Stella, Shane?"  Olivia asked as her voice was shrill with excitement while Aimy was also interested in the answer to this question.

She was always wondering about Shane's background and today seemed like a perfect opportunity to get to know more about him.

Sighing deeply, Shane could only glare at Aisha for a moment before he averted his attention to Aimy and Olivia.

"Alright, I doubt that I can hide it any longer from you two. John Stella... is my father and everyone around him can be said to be my aunt and uncle...to put it very….very simply"

Aisha had been well aware of the former fact and had estimated the latter to be the case which caused her to be less surprised, than the other two girls who were bewildered, to say the least. They exchanged surprised glances before jumping out of their seats and shouting in unison.

"How can John Stella be your father, your name is Suro!! Or was that a lie???"

"You are John Stella's son? I've never heard that he had a child!!"

Scratching his forehead, Shane tried to form an appropriate response. He had never wanted to have this annoying discussion with anyone.

"I am his son, but I'm Shane Suro and nobody else. I would prefer to be called Shane and not John Stella's son or something connected to him…. Furthermore, how important is my background either way? The only important things I know from my past were that I had no freetime and friends, while I had to learn how to be perfect since I was born. I don't expect anyone to have pity or feel intimidated by this fact, but I hope you two can keep my identity a secret...or at least don't spread the information through the academy. This would be annoying and not helpful for anyone…"

Aimy and Olivia, who wanted to start questioning Shane about all kinds of things, turned quiet after they heard him.

As such, Shane decided to change the subject.

"To come back to the one reason I wanted to meet you, except the fact that it had been a long time since we met each other, I want to invite you two to my faction as the first two combat-oriented members. That means you two are the first two future powerhouses I want in my team."

He smiled lightly to hide how uncomfortable he felt and was glad that the passive skill [Hunter's mind] was supporting him.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to remain so calm after Aisha had exposed his identity accidentally.

Aimy who was the first to regain her composure looked at Shane who was determined about his decision to get them on his team as she blurted out

"Why?...Why do you want us in your faction? We are still weak compared to the other first-year students at the peak-Expert stage. Even some students at our cultivation stage are stronger than we are… we are not special at all.."

Shane figured out that Aimy was discouraged, however, he envisioned everything a little bit differently than Aimy.

"You can become stronger in the future, but what I need the most are people I trust. Furthermore, I know that you two don't discriminate against others and I think this is very important too! Otherwise, it would be difficult to build a proper relationship between combat and non-combat-oriented occupations, considering that they're currently on bad terms. That is, if you want to explain it in a simple manner!"
