Chapter 234: Meeting the princess again

Shane was still unsure of what to think of the small Artisan group that had decided to stay inside the Hidden Paradise.

However, he was sure that they were more ambitious and determined than he initially thought.

'Maybe I encountered them at their worst?'

He merely shrugged his shoulders, thinking that almost everything about those 8 students was weird.

After they told him that it would be better to stay inside the Hidden Paradise he was unable to tell whether they were naive, stupid, or courageous.

Were they even thinking about the possibility that he could die, which would most likely destroy the world that was soul bound to him?

He had explained this multiple times already but their decision remained the same and the reason they stated was even weirder.

'Someone has to tend to the Nightshade flower field and the recuperation process of the unscathed roots!'

Meanwhile, the others who had nothing to do with the Nightshade flowers said

'We have to construct the unique ballistae'

'I need to stay to visualize the surrounding area so I can design the houses perfectly!'

'I manage everything, what should the others do once I'm away?'

Shane could barely accept the first reason because it was important to look after the Nightshade flowers and the unscathed roots.

However, in the end, it was their own decision and Shane wouldn't interfere. If they wanted to stay, they could and he had warned them multiple times.

As such, it wouldn't be his fault if they were to go down with him! This 'danger' about them dying with him if they were to stay inside the Hidden Paradise in the future would change once he had a Space Door or a similar mana device.

But for now, the dangers were still present.

Nevertheless, the small Artisan student group he had gathered around himself, or rather within him needed all kinds of miscellaneous items Shane provided.

Additionally, he purchased enough higher graded prismarine-luminous crystals that worked as light sources, in addition to a mana distributor empowered by Hidden Paradise's mana.

This decreased the amount of mana his world could store by a small margin but that was fine with Shane as long as he didn't make it burdensome to stay inside his world.

After that, he purchased the necessary set of materials required to construct five unique ballistae and enough materials to build a small house.

Shane listened to the other requirements he received from the other students.

In the end, his whole fortune plummeted to less than 100 gold coins, but Shane still felt good.

As long as the unique ballistae would be as powerful as he assumed it to be, everything would be perfect!

At least, Dyr and Han's occupational skills and newfound ambition were enough reason for Shane to believe that they could create such a weapon that one could perfectly use for Shelters.

He didn't have to think whether the government would purchase it for their shelters or not as long as Dyr and Han did a good job.

Yet, instead of thinking too much about it, he could just wait and complete his [Mythic] Mission in the meantime.

It might take a few weeks before he would catch the Lesser Starlet fox and in that duration, his Nightshade flower field could grow while the construction of the ballistae should be finished too.

There should even be a newly constructed house the next time he would take a look inside the Hidden Paradise, but that could wait.

It would be the first step to create something huge and something of his own.

Messaging Aunt Kia to distract himself from his earlier thoughts, Shane climbed on Umbra, who brought him back to the shelter, before he entered Shane's world.

Shane was happy to have achieved so much in the past two days and felt energetic, even if he had been tired a few hours earlier.

He had provided his body with enough rest during the last few hours while his mind had been observing the Hidden Paradise and how his new friends were slowly incorporating changes to his barren world.

Somehow, Shane didn't like thinking of Talia and the others like future faction members but more like his friends.

In his past life, he had always been bullied which was the biggest reason for him to be so frustrated at those 8 students he had helped.

He didn't want them to be like him and silently accept the differential treatment, only because the bullies were stronger by force.

The bullied students could also use their wits as a strong weapon.

Unfortunately, using one's wits against the bullies who had caused traumatic events in one's life was easier said than done. Shane never had someone to help him in his past life to help him stand up against bullying.

However, this life was different. Now, he could be the very person he had needed in his past life to somebody else who needed a support system. He was determined to completely change the fearful attitude of these students, all of whom felt oddly similar to his past self.

This was a task he had assigned to himself.

After he had entered the shelter, he looked around for the shortest route to the Dimension Portal before he sprinted towards it.

Less than 30 minutes later he appeared in a huge and unfamiliar office as a secretary had led him there.

He entered one of the large assembly halls of the government for the first time and he had to say that they were truly uninteresting.

As such, Shane didn't think that it was important to stand on ceremony, even less when he saw how relaxed and plainly clothed the ambassador in front of him was.

Shane was uninterested in the young man who was almost 1.9 meters tall with a steel body and shoulder long blue hair.

However, the same couldn't be applied to the young man who was curious about Shane whose aura was exactly the same as one of the young prodigies; that emanated confidence and combat experience.

The young man introduced himself as Malu, and Shane merely nodded his head thinking that his short meeting with the ambassador was over and that they could finally depart when Malu suddenly asked him.

"Do you think my clothes are suitable to meet the Elus Emperor? I was unsure what to wear when I read your report."

This caused Shane to raise an eyebrow as he asked.

"You..clothed yourself like that after reading my report?... How did you come to that conclusion?….wear the best combat equipment you have and show that you can fight...and who told you that you'll meet the emperor? He shouldn't even be on Masua right now!"

Shane was dumbfounded about the ambassador's casual demeanor whose cheeks suddenly turned red. He rushed into the changing room and came out less than a minute later.

Meanwhile, Shane looked at the female secretary who had led him to the assembly hall. She smiled apologetically and felt uncomfortable as Shane stared at her.

The only thing she had to do was to act as someone's replacement but nobody told her that this someone was Kia Mel and that the information she had received was so important.

'The Elus-race? Never heard of them...but this young hands- mature-looking youth feels somewhat familiar...But Shane Suro doesn't say anything to me…'She shook her head and did as she was asked for.

After receiving the information Shane needed, he nodded his head before he messaged the Elus merchant that they would arrive soon.

His eyes fell on Malu who wore a leather armor that released dense mana fluctuations with a robe above it, covering the several sets of daggers he hid within the leather armor. Shane smiled lightly, thinking that the young man appeared to be more serious than before as he said

"Let's go, but don't get your hopes too high to encounter the Elus Emperor! I think they should have assigned a merchant or noble to us. If everything goes well you might be able to meet the Emperor, but I'm not sure how soon that will be!"

Malu was visibly disappointed but tried to suppress his emotions as well as possible, following Shane who rushed ahead at a fast pace.

It looked as if he was in a hurry and after Malu asked him about it, Shane said "I don't like taking too many detours and my schedule has already been postponed by a few days because of something...not that it was bad tho...Either way, we'll go to Caera, the flying crystals island.

I would stay until you and the assigned merchant or noble introduce each other and take your leave, is that fine?"

Shrugging his shoulders, Malu could only say "Okay" before they approached the Dimension Portal that was located close to the assembly hall.

As they entered the Dimension Portal Malu grasped Shane's shoulder to give Shane the right to decide where both of them would land.

Searching through the planets he could select, Shane found Masua quickly. However, now there were several hundred Dimension Portals he could choose as their destination which was different from before.

Yet, instead of being confused or baffled, Shane could only smile lightly as he picked Caera, where he and Malua were teleported.

While Shane closed his eyes almost immediately Malu screamed out in shock when he noticed how bright it was.

Smiling lightly, Shane took out the specially made sunglasses Kia had handed to the secretary earlier. He wore one while handing over the other to Malu, after retrieving it from his spatial ring.

As his eyes adjusted to the light and the glasses he slowly opened them. He saw an overly familiar Elemental in front of him.

"Why the hell is the Princess here...don't tell me that I can't depart immediately…" He mumbled to himself.

'I'll go as soon as possible, even if I have to displease the Elus-race!!!'

With his decision set in stone, he smiled lightly at Princess Ilya as he said

"Hello Princess, now that I brought our ambassador over...can I leave? I want to finish something important!"

However, the Princess' humanoid form was still stable without any fluctuations as she said with her sonorous voice.

"Oh, I know, someone else will take care of you ambassador, I just wanted to accompany you to the Starlight river dimension!!"

"Huh? Why...NO!"
