Chapter 332: First floor

It looked like there was a huge market around the tower that was in fact the dungeon Princess Ilya wanted to enter.

"It's just a dungeon market, why are you so astonished?" Princess Ilya seemed to be unfazed by the dungeon market around the tower, but Shane thought differently.

"There are no defensive measures...and I've never seen so many foreign races at one location, inside the primordial dimensions!"

Other than that, there were more things that caused Shane to be astonished, but he didn't say anything.

Instead, he decided to focus on the tower as he asked her,

"You don't expect us to clear the entire tower dungeon in around three months, right?"

Even an entire year wouldn't be enough to hoard all the treasures and clear the entire tower that was ginormous in size.

The closer they came, the larger, and wider the tower looked, and Shane couldn't help but feel like he would get cramps in his neck if he were to continue trying to see the tip of the tower.

"Everyone who enters the dungeon for the first time after reopening gets a return ticket. There may be a few requirements, but we can leave whenever we want. It's quite handy despite the restrictions."

Shane nodded his head and decided to focus on the market and the sheer number of foreign races that were eager to enter the dungeon.

There was quite a long queue in front of the portal that was right in front of the tower dungeon.

Thus, Shane assumed that it was the entrance to the dungeon and that the foreign races had queued up for quite a while.

Otherwise, the fast pace at which they could enter the dungeon wouldn't make any sense.

"I don't have anything to purchase, what about you?" Shane asked, not sure whether Princess Ilya had already prepared herself by purchasing weapons and other tools, similar to him.

There was nothing special he had purchased but ensured that he had all kinds of necessities and protection mechanisms at the ready.

It was unknown if it was possible to use the system shop while being inside the tower dungeon, after all!

"I got everything, let's queue up."

They didn't intend to waste time in the dungeon market and instead queued up without further ado.

Shane hoped that accessing the system's functions wouldn't have too many restrictions while being inside the tower dungeon, but he got the feeling that this might be the case.

Thus, he quickly messaged his friends and family that it might be difficult for them to reach him for a few days.

It was only then that he found a message from both Miriam and Aisha!

Apparently, they had received a cooperation mission with each other some time ago that could help them increase their mana purification manual's mana purity percentage.

From the looks of it, the two girls had completed it successfully, and they were all set to finish their journey in the basic primordial dimensions and start with the liquefaction process.

Frer and the Valkyries would do the same after finishing the things they wanted to accomplish inside the basic dimensions.

While Shane was only 18 years old, both Aisha and Miriam were 23, yet extremely powerful.

Compared to others, they had increased their mana purity at a rapid pace, and Shane wondered how strong they would become in the future.

Only thinking about his own progress was boring, and instead of doing so, Shane might as well look at how others were faring.

Both Aisha and Miriam were to hold a party with all of their friends after liquefying their mana.

It took only a few hours before they reached the dungeon entrance which was faster than expected as the queue had been extremely long.

Thanks to Ilya explaining to him that the dungeon had only reopened two days ago, this was nothing surprising. But considering how long the queue was, Shane didn't want to imagine how high the number of eager enthusiasts that had entered the dungeon was!

Even if there were to be millions of rivals, Shane was confident in the strength he had attained.

He hadn't given his best during the last few years, only to back off at the sight of danger!

Rather than that, Shane wanted to advance through the dangers and defeat everyone in his way!

Despite that, he was calculative and not plain dumb to enter the calamity-rank dungeon.

Thus, he and Princess Ilya entered the dungeon without any hesitation.

Stepping through the dungeon entrance was similar to the spatial portals Cosmo could manifest.

As such, Shane had no problems adjusting when he emerged on the first floor of the dungeon.

[Host has entered the '1st' floor of the 'Fluare Tower Dungeon'. Task to enter the next floor- <Kill>]

[Kill] Kill 100 beasts within one hour!

The first few floors of every dungeon were supposed to separate the weak and untalented from those that had talent and had already attained a certain degree of strength.

Thus, the first mission was nothing surprising.

However, by looking around, Shane noticed that only Ilya, who had entered the dungeon at the same time he had, was next to him.

Other than that, it looked like they were in an enlightened cave.  An unknown liquid was streaming down the walls, and Shane assumed that it was just water, but there was no reason for him to inspect and figure out the truth.

"The beasts which the system wants us to kill, should either be peak awakened beasts or even superior beasts, stay vigilant!"  Princess Ilya cautioned him as she let go of her earlier carefree attitude.

Earlier, he had believed that the Elus princess was nothing but a fortunate child, born with two powerful affinities, but based on the way she was acting now, it looked like he had grossly underestimated her.

At least, she knew when to stay vigilant and didn't simply march straight through the unknown cave with greedy eyes.

Suddenly, Cosmo jumped out of the portal of the Hidden Paradise and he landed on Shane's shoulder.

There was not much space for him owing to his increased size, but Cosmo, the little fox was squeezing himself on his shoulder as if it belonged to him.

Umbra had never been jealous of Cosmo before, but now that he had reached the size of 130 meters, he began to recall the old times, he had been able to coil around Shane's arm or shoulder without the fear of breaking his bones, or suffocating him!

When Shane sensed through the Innate taming skills new ability [soul connection +] how Umbra was feeling, he told him to join them too.

Feeling happy, Umbra jumped outside the Hidden Paradise's portal too!

Princess Ilya was eyeing Shane weirdly, thinking that they attracted too much attention like this, but Shane didn't seem to be bothered.

The dungeon wouldn't send 100 Overlord beasts, which would have been an overkill, and it was even more likely that the number '100' originated from Shane and Ilya entering the dungeon together!

At that moment, Shane got an idea as he suggested a tactic,

"Dungeons will reward those that solve missions at an extremely fast pace, right? Come here, and we'll use Cosmo's spatial affinity to speed up a little bit!"

He might not know what rewards awaited him, but Shane was confident to solve the given mission as quickly as possible.

It was not even necessary for him to take Ilya along with him, but now that she was there the Elus princess might as well use her powerful affinities and finish off a few beasts!

They hadn't seen a single beast yet, but they didn't have to wait for long because Cosmo's high mana perception had allowed him to find the first batch of beasts!

From the looks of it, the dungeon would send out the beasts in batches once the previous wave had been defeated.

As such, Shane couldn't help but exclaim,

"Let's get the highest possible reward!"
