Chapter 48 - Trapping Jyorta Bone

Right as Jyorta thought that he had gained an upper hand now, the sky blanketed as a cloud flew towards him. It was a dust cloud, slightly moist, but its size was enormous.

And currently, it seemed to be building up a lot of momentum, of kinetic energy and frictional energy as the various particles within collided into one another, building up polar charges.

As he had been focused on cornering the eggshell, Jyorta hadn't noticed its approach until it had arrived close by. But, before he could flee the place, a familiar presence startled him.

"T-This aura! How? Impossible!" Upon sensing his presence emanating from within the eggshell, Jyorta was shocked. After all, the presence not only contained his aura, but also the change in his aura that occurred when he infused corrosion into it.

"Dammit! Protect me!" Jyorta shouted, having understood the enemy's response. Upon his shout, the worm exited the ground and coiled around him. Initially, upon clashing with the egg, Jyorta had been moving towards the worm.

This way, he planned to use the worm's strength to clamp onto the egg and destroy it. And, once the Floating Spiders carrying it turned against it, he was biding his time, wishing for the egg to move a bit lower and enter the worm's range.

But now, he had to make it show early to protect himself. His heart thumped in fear upon seeing the changes in the aura in the surroundings. This wasn't something that he could counter.

Aura Wave!

Two aura fluctuations collided as they spread out like waves, ionising the air at every point they clashed, soon causing a difference in potential to the extent the charges were transferred from one point to another in the form of lightning bolts.

Boom!

A massive bolt of lightning struck the ground. The cause was the dust cloud in the air. From the start, it had been building up a charge, approaching his location.

And once the egg unleashed the fluctuation, countless bolts of lightning condensed from the dust cloud and crashed into the ground. The bolts of lightning created by the Aura Wave were further amplified by this massive charge present in the air.

Scree!

The worm cried out in pain as countless bolts of lightning slammed on it. It wished to burrow into the ground and escape. But instead, Jyorta forced it to defend him, preventing the lightning bolts from landing on him.

For an entire minute, the lightning bolts continued to rain down. As the desert was dry, with the wind constantly blowing over the sand, it was easy to build up a charge in them. So, once triggered, the rain of lightning was way stronger than what he had unleashed at the Graduation Ceremony.

All the Frenzy Beasts Jyorta had released had died under the lightning assault, including the ones being used by the egg.

A lot of the lightning bolts also landed on the egg, first burning up the thick layer of silk woven over it as a protective cover.

But, despite all the silk being destroyed, the egg still hovered in the air.

Finally, followed by an ear-clapping sound of thunder, the rain of lightning ended as an Aura Beast jumped out after pushing away the carcass of the worm.

Seated on it was Jyorta, immediately commanding the Aura Beast to run. But, he had only begun to do so when his senses alerted him, causing him to strengthen the psychic arm barrier covering him, turning it jet black.

Spindles constantly landed on it, losing most of their power when they were corroded into a liquid and splashed over.

Jyorta was alarmed, noticing that he was surrounded by over twenty Tier 1 Spindle Bees and five Tier 2 Spindle Bees. Moreover, slithering on the ground were fifty Tier 1 Steel Porcupines and another 10 Tier 2 Steel Porcupines.

It was an army. They had surrounded him and began to bombard their spikes and spindles, overwhelming him.

In response, Jyorta brought out as many Frenzy Beasts as he could from his tattoo world—that he could control.

But, the moment he began to use them for his defence and retaliation, another wave of hallucination struck. But this time, they targeted him instead.

"Dammit!" Jyorta was frustrated, having to split his focus as his psychic energy barrier rippled. Most of the Frenzy Beasts he released simply died off while defending against the incoming projectiles.

Aura Beam!

"Gah!" Suddenly, an Aura Beam landed on him, causing him to scream in pain as his concentration came undone, causing his construct to shatter when some spikes pierced through it, targeting the location where his psychic arms emerged out of his head.

So, once these two locations were destroyed, it destroyed his psychic arms, causing his barrier to collapse. It was as if his opponent knew exactly where to target to destabilise him.

Left with no other choice, Jyorta brought out all the Frenzy Beasts in his tattoo world, intending to use the chaos to run away.

He swerved through the chaotic mess of Frenzy Beasts that roamed the ground and the skies, scurrying about in their effort to evade the projectiles. Some of them shot forth attacks at their opponents, sparking a war.

Somehow, he managed to evade them enough until he reached the exit, wrapping his psychic arms around himself as he turned invisible. His psychic energy had already run out, same for his aura. Now, he was relying upon the soul energy in his blue soul to fuel his actions.

He had already consumed all the bananas during the consequent battles, having expended all other means. But, just as he began to run, a Tier 2 Crust-Mantle exited the ground, clamping upon the Aur Beast he was using to run.

The sudden arrival caused him to be thrown off as his Aura Beast struggled within the Crust-Mantle's mouth. A couple more Crust Mantles exited the ground and crushed it into pieces before sharing it with each.

Wheeee!

Followed by a whistling sound, more than twenty Floating Spiders revolved around him, beginning to weave their silk around him. Moreover, they had activated their Tier 2 Skills, increasing their flight speed while instantly condensing a lot of silk, tugging some strings to retract it in size from a radius of ten metres to instantly slam into him.

Jyorta Bone got trapped!
