It was Tuesday, the day after the Boss of the Public 'mysteriously' disappeared.
Because of her disappearance, the law and order of the Public have been chaotic even though it's just day one. They felt liberated since the figure of their fear and strength just disappeared.
Obviously, they didn't know the reason for her disappearance and that's why they're expecting her to come back. However, no matter how strong she is, can she punish them all?
That's not possible. Since everyone felt that way, they became fearless.
Even the second in command was not there.
"I don't remember smoking in school is this good!"
A student laughed together with his group while ignoring the complaints of their teacher. All the teachers felt like they suddenly lost control over their life overnight.
"Please, stop smoking..."
The teacher still tried but met a spit on his face. These people are now longer students, they are more like hooligans without the Boss.
"Hahaha! What are you going to do?"
The one who spat on the teacher's face laughed before feeling a grab on his shoulder.
"Didn't the Boss forbid smoking during class time?"
"Shut up!"
The smoker slapped the hand away but instead of putting it off, he felt the grip tighten as it pulled him down.
Bam*
"Argh!"
"I may look weak in front of the Boss and Chihua but do not underestimate me, punk."
One of the so-called Four Heavenly Kings, Matt coldly spoke before propping his glasses up.
Realizing that there's this kind of man in the class, the smokers immediately hid their sticks behind them.
"All those who break the Boss' rules will get beaten up, does anyone understand?"
He may look thin but the intimidation the people around him felt was the real deal. Without the Boss' and Chihua's absence, the Four Heavenly Kings were the strongest.
However, none of these four rejoiced with the return of their power. They have the gist of what actually happened.
Matt may look tough but on the inside, he was full of guilt.
'I didn't know I'm such a coward... no, I'm not a coward, towards that guy, anyone would get afraid, right? Well, everyone, except for Chihua.'
Earlier, Chihua had told them that he will rush to Mershen High. That was his only lead as he recognized Teren and Nick's uniforms. He may not meet the actual people there but he can still ask for their names.
When he was asked what happened, Chihua didn't answer.
Because the answer is too shameful and honestly, doesn't help at all. When Teren pinned Trisha down, Chihua immediately responded, however, he was stopped by the tall guy, Nick.
At that point, he blindly charged and was met with a counterattack that knocked him cold. He underestimated the tall guy.
Meanwhile, the person in question, Chihua has arrived at his destination. The reason why he only got there now was not only because of the long-distance but also because he was hesitating.
Chihua didn't know if he can even defeat the tall guy if he was prepared and clear-minded, let alone the Hat Guy. He even went to Public to indirectly ask for help but just like him, the others were scared.
Yet, the thought of Trisha not coming back pushed him forward.
'Where did they bring her? Did they really kidnap her? Although they're just students, they're too mysterious and I would actually believe it if they're adults wearing student uniforms. What if... they plan to do something to her?'
That thought made his heart churn so he avoided asking that in his mind.
Currently, he was at the school gate of Mershen High. Chihua gulped but walked forward.
"Wait, kid."
Someone suddenly called him out. Chihua was a bit confused.
'They have a guard at their gate!?'
He gritted his teeth.
'What a school of rich kids!'
After saying that he wants to meet someone and that his name is Teren, he was asked for additional information. There's only one Teren in school but that doesn't mean the guard would remember each student.
Eventually, he entered the school. He felt accomplished since he finally knew where's Teren's section was. Although he doesn't know any additional information, upon looking at the record, Teren's name was eventually found. He's making progress and that's what's important, right?
When he got there though, he was shocked to the core.
"Air conditioners!? Damn!"
He peeked through the window, scaring the students inside. Chihua is knowledgeable in these sorts of things and sometimes, Trisha would rely on him for information. However, experiencing them himself is too different from just knowing.
After his 'sight-seeing', he finally reached Teren's section. He peeked through first and a beauty entered his vision first.
"Wo-woah... they have a goddess here...!?"
He muttered in shock. But soon, he shook his head.
'No, the Boss is still cuter!'
Chihua felt that his fear lessened after all the detours. So, finally, he knocked on the door. Sir Hanon opened the door and met Chihua.
The two looked at each other for a while before recognizing one another-
"Aren't you Renz?"
Hanon squinted his eyes which Chihua nodded.
"Yes, sir. What a coincidence. I forgot that you're also a teacher besides being an assistant inspector."
Hanon awkwardly laughed since Chihua's voice was loud and others were able to heard it. He didn't intend to reveal his side jobs but there it is. As expected, many students were intrigued by these and began whispering to each other.
"Yeah... so, what do you want?"
Upon that question, Chihua clenched his fist. From that direction, Nick was in front of Teren. But even then, Chihua could feel his heart beating heavily.
"If possible, I want to speak with Teren."
When he spoke that name, some individuals within that room became a little cautious. Hanon should be one of them but he already knew who Chihua is so his guard was not up.
Hanon smiled and asked, "Why?"
"I'm sorry but this is personal. Can I?"
Since Hanon is just a teacher on the surface, he can't be too invasive.
"Teren, someone wants to talk to you."
